Avatar f tn The problem is that now the pain is down in my neck and I can hardly turn my head from side to side. The pain feels almost like a burning pain in my neck and major stiffness. I don't see how sinus problems could last for this many months. Can sinus issues also make your neck hurt and be stiff? I don't know where to turn next. The neck pain and the ear noise is definitely getting on my nerves. Does anyone know what could be going on?
Avatar n tn In 2008 I started feeling like my throat was being squeezed. When the pressure is the strongest I also get chest pain. In 2009 the remaining half of my thyroid was removed because the nodules had grown. The pressure and chest pain remained after the surgery. My doctors tell me that it is probably scar tissue from the orignial surgery and the size of the nodules on the half that wasn't removed until 2009.
Avatar n tn Hi, Thank you for your question. Generally pain in the back portion of the head originates from the neck problems due to irritation in the cervical (neck) spine because the nerves that supply the back of the head start in the upper cervical spine. Mostly, this kind of head pain aggravates after turning head and typically occurs in patients with previous neck injuries and in patients with marked arthritis of the upper cervical spine.
Avatar m tn i have pressure on the back of the head, pain in the teeth, pressure in the neck, ear fullness, neausea, pressure in the face ...............
Avatar f tn Head pressure. I sometimes have intense pressure throughout my head, it feels so tight it seems like it could burst. And lately I have several veins always stuck out very obviously on my forehead to where ppl think there's something wrong and I'm upset even though I might feel fine at that moment.
Avatar m tn If you are having a headache every night it is wise to seek out someone who will refer you for further testing. A headache everynight is not normal. Like rumpled said, it usually points to migraines and this is the direction my doctors started going in but somethings were found thru further testing. My headaches also started out coming every night on one side of my head and would thru the night extend to the other side as well. They eventually became day and night for an entire year.
Avatar n tn and sometimes when i dont move my head that much i feel like something not alowing me to move my neck. and i also get a clicking sound in the back of my head. ive noticed a lump on the back of my head not sure how it got there. can someone please tell me what may be causing this.
Avatar f tn The pressure sensation I get radiates from the base of the skull and although there is no pain, I feel like my head might explode! I cant lay down because it increases the pressure. It feels like my brain is just not right. Twice it has turned into a migraine, but all the other times it has stopped before then. So the brain will actually inflame from a flare up? Oh boy, do I have a lot to learn.

Avatar f tn Physiotherapy will help you and hence you should learn neck exercises to relieve neck strain. Get your blood pressure checked. This can also cause headache with dizziness. TMJ is another possibility. If you have been out in sun a lot or drink less of fluids then it can also be due to electrolyte imbalance or dehydration. Benign intracranial hypertension also causes dizziness with headache and a spinal tap is confirmatory. It can be a migraine attack too.
1579063 tn?1296352771 I have started getting these strange head sensations. I feel my anxiety has returned...or rather I know it has. This is so strange though. Last bout of anxiety I had had me convinced I was dieing. That I was having a heart attack or heart failure. Now its my head and my heart feels fine. I have every test under the sun in the last 3 years except a.brain scan. This is hard to.describe and is a very strange feeling.
Avatar n tn Could the reflux (LPRD) be related to the head pressure/pain? I am 26, have never had any serious health issues and I'm told my blood pressure is on the low side. My face and neck have been feeling a little hot recently too--something's not quite right. I've also had a variable ringing in my ears for a couple months too. What is going on?! Is this a blood pressure related thing, a heart related thing, a reflux related thing, a diet related thing?
Avatar n tn I have been suffering from constant head/neck pain for over 10 years. The pain begins behind the ear, right side above the base of the skull. It radiates down the spine below the shoulder blades. I have had the following treatments: cervical spine fusion c5/c6 due to rupture disk, botox injections to the head, neurostimulater implant 4 yrs then removed, steroid injections, and taken huge quantities of narcotic pain relievers.

Avatar m tn I do have GERD and dont know if there is any connection between that and the pressure in my head. My doctor has told me the tightness in my chest is just due to the GERD. I have seen a chiropractor twice to adjust my neck in case of pinched nerve or stunted nerve flow to the brain. This hasnt relieved me of my symptoms. PLEASE HELP!
Avatar n tn Hi, Complete taking your antibiotics and have a follow up assessment with your physician. If the sinus problems persist then you may need further intervention. The pain at the back of the head may be musculoskeletal in origin .How is your position when lying down ? Are your head and neck properly supported? When your nasal passages feel congested do you sleep with your neck slightly extended? These may cause neck and shoulder pains.

Before i start getting the pain in my head my main artarie in my neck starts to swell and is very sore, my eye sight goes blurry and my face hands and arms go numb. Avatar f tn Hey lynn...Well, I was sent to an ENT-full work up-imaging, to for specifically look ear.. (Before surgery) and all the usual inner -ear tests. But, they found absolutely nothing wrong. (I didn't tell him about Chiari b/c I didn't want him to jump on that w/o coming to his own conclusion first). His conclusion was it must be something Neurological.
Avatar f tn Constant head pressure in temples, back of head and forehead. Feels like a band of pressure. Feels like I have been wearing a tight hat all day long and just took it off. Should not be described as "headache" because it is more of a pressure feeling. Ears feel full. Whistle type tinnitus very loud! Pressure increases with head tilted forward or hyperextending. Almost as if head too heavy for neck. Periodic tingling in scalp, face and extremities. NO medicine works.
