I am a 28 years old male suffering from weird left ear pressure from 6 months ago, I am a healthy airline pilot. My sypmtoms are mild ear pressure only in the left ear. No pain and hearing is fine. I went to the ENT who checked my ears and said it is normal and asked me to do pressure test (cause I am a pilot) which became normal too! He ruled out any ear infection and said it might be TMJ.
Do you have any pain or pressure in the back of your head, or feel like your neck is tight and tense. Does the hearing come and go in both ears or just one ear? Do any of these symptoms occur during the day, or just when you are lying down? We need a little more input. Do you have any hearing loss? Any noise in your ears during the day?
I have been suffering from constant head/neck pain for over 10 years. The pain begins behind the ear, right side above the base of the skull. It radiates down the spine below the shoulder blades. I have had the following treatments: cervical spine fusion c5/c6 due to rupture disk, botox injections to the head, neurostimulater implant 4 yrs then removed, steroid injections, and taken huge quantities of narcotic pain relievers.
Sinus allergies also cause neck muscle tension and pain that spreads to the scalp, causes lymph nodes to swell and put pressure on nerves that cause ear and jaw pain. Allergies can trigger pain in the face, ear, neck, head/scalp and jaw/tmjd, as well as put pressure on the perotid glands and salivary glands. I've had some triggered by using prednisone to help treat sinus and lung infections.
And I have a really huge explainable knot on the back of my left ear/head a couple years ago, very painful to the touch and so much pressure and pain in my head at the time.. I have major migraines there seems to be no reason for and just an out-of-it fogginess at times to where I feel like I'm about to pass out just sitting there and almost have many times, black out when I stand up, have to fight to stay awake. Any clue what this could be?
yesterday i had very sore neck pain in near my right side neck near the back of the ear and neck areas. the pain feels like pulsing beating pain near my neck ear right side area. the whole day yesterday i told my mother if she could massage it but still pain. i feel a lot of bumps near my neck area etc.
about two weeks ago i had felt sick also with like neck weirdness and left ear full clogged feeling its weird scary. my doc prescribed me meds like antibiotic but no help but went away.
I've had ear pressure, not really pain going on about 7 months now. Back when it started, I went to an urgent care center (I was looking for a new primary care doctor at the time) and the doctor there told me it was Eustacian Tube Dysfunction. He told me to take Claritin D and he prescribed Flonase. I started taking/using both, and the pressure eased up a little bit, but it was still there. At that time, I was also experiencing some sinus pressure. That seems to have lessened.
Sore neck - my glands are swollen and my neck is actually sore to touch, it hurts to turn my head and when I yawn, cough or sneeze I feel pain in my neck.

I went to the doctor but she just felt around my abdomen and felt it was cold symptoms, she refilled my meds for htn. and that was it.
what is this and should I go back to the doctor.
s esphoguas, I have recently been in the hospital twice in two weeks. Once for high blood pressure, numbness in my left side of my neck, jaw and ear. Also blue hands. I had been taken off of elavil 25mg., that I was using for stomach spasm, per the doctor. The second hospital stay, I woke up at 3 am one morning with a headache and nausea. I took 3 baby aspirin, and two tylenol 325mg. I laid back down and pressure came over me.
See your doctor right away for this. I get pain in my temple when my blood pressure rises, which is fortunate for me since normally high BP has no symptoms. But your doctor can check this, your heart, and your carotid arteries to make sure there is no narrowing there.

I had a few pressure tests done by the ENTs to test for excess fluid in my ear and did not notice anything, and was wondering if the fullness in my ear could be related to my neck? My main neck pain is on the right side, and the ear causing problems is on the right side, as well as the pressure in my right eye(that does not give me problems much anymore). After my ENT said my ears looked fine, and did not notice excess fluid in the pressure tests I have no idea what is causing the fullness.
Physiotherapy will help you and hence you should learn neck exercises to relieve neck strain. Get your blood pressure checked. This can also cause headache with dizziness. TMJ is another possibility. If you have been out in sun a lot or drink less of fluids then it can also be due to electrolyte imbalance or dehydration. Benign intracranial hypertension also causes dizziness with headache and a spinal tap is confirmatory. It can be a migraine attack too.
Bad headaches, ear pain, jaw pain, and painful swollen lymph nodes. I feel like total crap from my neck up ... extreme fatigue, dizzy spells, and constant pain. I have an Endo appt tomorrow and im damn near having a heart attack as ive been having these symptoms since early December ... its now the middle of January so a month and a half is too long. My mom was recently diagnosed with lung cancer, so obvious the C word scares the living crap out of me.
