Common Questions and Answers about Natural vitamins or synthetic

vitamin

Avatar f tn Our bodies can not break down what is in synthetic vitamins and most are synthetic. Hope this helps.
Avatar f tn The FDA (Food and Drug Administration) is just not up to scratch. Speaking of mislabelled products, Mike Adams from Natural News uncovered the "natural" blueberries in popular cereals, muffins, bagels and other foods are anything but natural. Instead of using real blueberries, companies (like General Mills) use artificial colours, hydrogenated oils (transfats!) and liquid sugars to manufacture small bits that mimic the look of blueberries. That is one false advertisement!
Avatar f tn no only vitamins not synthetic but food extracted, pharmacies usually have only synthetic vitamins because food extracted are too expensive not all types of vitamins are needed: vitamin d3 natural type 5000iu daily vitamin E only natural type which is a blend of vitamin E types called alpha and gamma tocopherols.
1210142 tn?1266077031 t suggest professionalism. Second, info is inaccurate. They claim that their vitamins are natural and others are synthetic. All vitamins are synthetic. There's no Vitamin C floating around loose out there, you have to isolate it from something else. It's usually taken from corn in a chemical process. That's obviously not how it occurs in nature, so it's to a degree synthetic.
Avatar n tn Well, to begin with, B vitamins are really rough on your tummy, especially the synthetic ones. I can not take them, I get so sick to my stomach I sometimes bend over. However, I now take a brand by Standard Process labs and it is awesome. It is all food grade, not synthetic at all and it helps with PVC's and all kinds of heart trouble.
Avatar m tn NO selenium or vitamins from chemicals, always double check if vitamins or minerals are natural or synthetic before using (the cheap ones and 99% of those sold on the market are synthetic) big human studies of 200mcg daily supplements already posted here some years ago showed a fall in HCC in hbv carriers
Avatar f tn Can't tell you it's impossible, but I've been on this forum for a long time and have over 10k posts, and I have yet to hear of anyone beating it with "natural" supplements (depending, of course, on how you define "natural")...by that I mean without taking T4 and/or T3. Every cell in your body needs thyroid hormone to metabolize. If they don't get it, it's not pretty.
Avatar f tn Many people who have Hashimoto’s/hypothyroidism are deficient in Vitamin B12, iron, and vitamin D, and it’s true that iron, selenium and zinc are needed in the conversion process; however, there’s no real link between vitamin D and Vitamin B12 in the conversion process or even in how the body uses thyroid hormones. If anyone knows of studies proving otherwise, please post links… Vitamin B12 is necessary for the manufacture of red blood cells, which carry oxygen throughout the body.
Avatar m tn Maybe start using condoms for a while so you avoid giving yourself new doses of whatever they have and let your organism try to clean it by itself...

Avatar f tn Has anyone tried any vitamins for anxiety or panic attacks? Such as Niacin, Valerian vitamin b3, b12 or anything? I was reading up on some things.
1892228 tn?1321996647 What are some pros/cons? Is it better or worse than synthetic hormones like levothyroxin or synthriod?
Avatar f tn I've had the same problem. I'm already suffering from morning sickness all day. I haven't been consistently taking mine because they make my morning sickness worse. I have an appointment tomorrow, I will ask then what to do. Everyone else has suggested gummy vitamins.
1702965 tn?1312519613 i use extra vitamin E, mixed natural tocopherols, synthetic vitamin E or only one type of vitamin E is useless, 800iu daily i used extra vitamin D3 5000iu daily, now gcmaf made vitamin D normal-high without supplements so i stopped it because it should have resolved immune system unbalance and vitamin d deficency
Avatar m tn There are advantages and disadvantages to, both, desiccated (so-called "natural" hormones) and synthetic hormones. Synthetic hormones are supposedly identical to the ones your body would make if it could, while the desiccated hormones, such as Armour, NatureThroid, ERFA, etc come from pig thyroid. Pigs produce much more T3 (which is about 4 times more powerful than T4), than humans do and many of us don't need that much T3, though some do.
Avatar f tn B-complex vitamins do not cause weight gain. I read where synthetic vitamins do not do any good. Try that brand of Brewer's yeast for while.
Avatar f tn Is it easyer to go natural like wait till your water break or get induced??? my hospital is 30 mins away from my house so my mom is tryna talk me into going to get induced when my doctor tells me to come in.
Avatar m tn I had a read through and found there are no UK manufacturers of desiccated thyroid hormone or synthetic T4/T3 combinations. Therefore, the only way you can switch to natural desiccated thyroid hormone or the synthetic T4/T3 combinations is through "Named Patient Basis". This means in certain circumstances your doctor can prescribe a medication because you have a special need for a certain medication.
