natural stomach ulcer treatment

My name is Sam and I'm a 15 year old female. Recently I've been worried about possibly having a peptic/stomach ulcer. I'm not freaking out over it, but I would like to see my doctor. I've been having pain in my upper middle abdomen. It's either sharp, achy, or burning. Sometimes it feels like I'm hungry. Anyways, I keep telling my mom about the symptoms, and she won't let me schedule a doctor's appointment! Why?

The ulcer in the stomach is different than the one in the esophagus, and the cause is probably different as well. Current thinking in the medical community is that stomach ulcers have nothing to do with food but instead are caused by an overgrowth of heliobacter pylori. This organism is always in the body but becomes able to establish a foothold in the digestive system when the immune system is thrown out of balance especially by a die off of beneficial organisms that are supposed to be there.

It is possible you have gallstones or ulcer as your treatment suggests, but please see your doctor as this needs to be sorted out. Pain such as this is not normal. It could also be referred pain but needs to be checked by physical examination and possible ultrasound. Also are your stools normal and do you have any difficulty going to the toilet passing bowel motions? Also check to see if your stools are black and tarry or light and colourless as this info can significant provide clues.

Hi, After eating quite badly for the last 6 months or so (much more fatty foods and late night meals etc.) I have developed burning in my stomach and chest which didn't go away by itself. Now, the GP didn't do any GI tract or endoscopy checks or anything (i'm 25, otherwise very healthy) so he gave me 4 weeks of proton pump inhibitors.

Hey reese28 - sorry you're going through so much pain and misery.. I'm not an expert but I've heard H. pylori is a tough bug to kill sometimes (basically an ulcer that's what h pylori is and causes a stomach ulcer.. I bet if you eat something acidic you'd have an angry stomach..or after a heavy meal..) and usually they do a triple antibiotic therapy here in the states (which looks like what you are doing..). You might have had dark tarry stool right?

Is there an alternative treatment to omeprazole for gastric ulcer? I have adverse reaction to PPI's but need to heal my ulcer. My biopsy was Hpylori negative but have been on aspirin therapy for several years.

the pain is central in the stomach and above the belly button. The meds Im on are actually for an ulcer or excess acid and do help when taken - its a horrid pain!

m hungry. stomach is relatively flat in the morning and gradually bloats. Could this be an ulcer, gallstones etc?

Does anybody else get an ulser like pain in the middle at the top of stomach? Am on faldaprevir, ribavirin, BI 207127. Pain only started after I started treatment 3 days ago.

I have been having stomach discomfort for 4 days know. My pain is in the upper middle and right side of stomach. The right side of my back hurts to. I take medicine for Acid reflux, high blood pressure and allergies. I also might have IBS. Can't get rid of pain. HELP!!!

In reviewing my medical records from my gastroenterologist it seems they keep bouncing between a diagnoses of "non ulcer dyspepsia" and "peptic ulcer disease". The non ulcer dyspepsia is a fancy term for ulcer like stomach pain without an ulcer and no clear cause. Then I occasionally do show up with peptic ulcers, which I thought were from accidentally taking a migraine medication that had aspirin in it...but I've never been checked for the pylori bacteria.

I have GI appointment at the end of the month. Is it possible to have a stomach ulcer for 6 months?

I think of two things one is an infection if you had a productive cough or sore throat. THe other is perhaps it is bile from the gallbladder or a stomach ulcer something along those lines might fit since you have a lack of appetite as well and constipation. You may be backed up due to the constipation. I would see a GI doctor and have them give you an exam as well as perhaps some scans.

Then this week, I started having severe burning in my throat and stomach after I ate, and drank, even if I was just drinking water. At first I tried just drinking some apple cider vinegar in water, since I read it was a natural cure for it, and it did help, for a few hours after a meal. The burning came back later, though, at night, too. The past 3 days were horrible.
