Avatar f tn If its Hydroquinone, its category c which will may have some risks. Honestly, wait until baby is born. If you can't, lemon is a natural lightener.
Avatar f tn I'm as white as a ghost so I know it can take what feels like forever for marks to go away! I had a fair amount of luck with a 4% hydroquinone gel available over the counter. It's a skin lightener but for me it also made my skin flake/peel just on the spot where I applied it. The peeling aspect was useful for deeper marks. The brand I bought was Ultraquin which also has a sunscreen which stops the dark spots from getting even darker from the sun.
Avatar n tn It is a darker color than my skin tone and it makes it look like I have a mustache, but its not hair. I thought maybe it was from the sun but I was out of the sun all winter and it is still there. I am worried that it will continue to get worse as we come into summer. Does anyone have any suggestions on what it might be and how I can fix it? Thanks!
Avatar f tn I also have sun spots and have tried everything from ipl laser treatment, skin lightener from derm, vitamin e cream too much too list but i got a sample from my sister of a spot treatment called vichy proeven spot correcter and just from a sample pack have noticed a difference spots are alot lighter you should try it. Good luck.
Avatar f tn I've had my hair bleached this last trimester so it can't be worse than that:)
Avatar f tn It makes it look like I have a mustache but its nothing I can wax off! I have seen Ambi, a OTC skin lightener, but I am scared to home bleach my skin.
Avatar n tn At 17 i started using a skin lightener to even out dark spots and lighten my skin....things worked fine at 18 i made the mistake of using a small blue bottle on my face that lightened my face in patches moreso i believe just making some skin on my face thinner than the rest in a patch which i read could be Skin Atrophy ... (from the picture big circle of light skin on cheek) i believe its thin because its been lighter than the rest of my face for over 2 years now...
Avatar f tn re still worried talk to your stylist about ammonia free dye and lightener. Redkin makes an awesome ammonia free lightener.
Avatar f tn Like others said, the only problem is the chemicals but in most now days you can find "natural" hair dyes that work just the same even in the store bought ones. It's also the ammonia that is used in the processing solution that you breathe in. But women did it for years without any problems so I don't see it as a bad thing. I got mine done 3 times my first pregnancy and 4 times so far this one.
Avatar f tn s in foils. Lightener has different chemicals than regular hair dye. I know this from when I was in cosmetology school.

Avatar f tn Recently i stopped using computer for more than 2 hours a day max and they have lightener a bit. A family member had told me it is hyper pigmentation. I want to know what ways there to remove them permanently. Thank you.
Avatar n tn I'm a hairdresser as well and both pregnancies I've put lightener (bleach) on my scalp. Its also fine to do it in foils. Doing a patch test is good. But just be aware it can come out unpredictable. When pregnant I have to up the developer from 10vol to 20vol otherwise it turns to yellow. It depends entirely on the person. I've heard stories of people turning green.
Avatar f tn I was thinking of buying a skin lightener from a skincare salon. The scar looks like a bruise within the tissue of the skin so it's not something that looks like it's going to go away on its own. the last attack I had was about 3 weeks ago and the prednisone took care of the swelling, but once the swelling went down, it left a bruise like mark on my face.
Avatar m tn as the above poster said ambien is prescribed routinely as a sleep aid during pregnancy. Lortab is also prescribed to pregnant women as well. As for the skin lightener I'm not sure, but it's probably not likely that 3 or 4 times has caused any damage. I agree that you need to get in for an OB appt and have an ultrasound. They can measure growth of the baby and check for proper development and healthy heartbeat.
Avatar f tn Highlights- lightener/bleach will sometimes wont take at all and can only leave it on for certain hours and have to take out even if its not the blonde you desire and might have to come a different day to do a retouch on it again to try to get it lighten.

Avatar n tn Your skin is a lot more sensitive then before you were pregnant, so just be smart about the time you spend in the sun, like the other girls said, sunblock and water are a must!
11444957 tn?1442981892 What are some natural alternatives for treating period pain?? I am it a very big fan of using pills if I do not know exactly what is inside them.
Avatar f tn We are big time users & my husband's step mom has done a lot of research into this-because our hormones are so different from usual while pregnant when topically applied we are more prone to reactions such as rashes & burning. There's no evidence linked to miscarriage or defects just our own skin irritation.
Avatar f tn I intend on having a natural birth is there anything I could do to be less likely to rip ? Any reservs on natural birth ?
Avatar f tn when your hormones have a big change like having your child, your skin expels the sodium loryl solfate and other bad stuff like smoke and pollutants that are in the lotions and soaps you use and from the air around you, which is why you are breaking out, the hormone change also will cause your skin to dry out, try finding moisturizers that DONT have mineral oil (bad for your skin and dries it out really badly), or sodium loryl solfate (this is the soap skum you scrub out of your tub and sinks f
Avatar f tn HI, Two excellent vitamins for sagging skin are vitamin E and vitamin A. Natural vitamin E is proven to reverse the effects of skin aging. It is an excellent example of a natural antioxidant which is present in a lot of different face and body creams. Another is Vitamin A, or retinol. This is known for its ability to stimulate collagen and elastin fibres. These vitamins are available in a lot of dietary products and also can be taken as supplements.
