Natural miscarriage at home

Common Questions and Answers about Natural miscarriage at home

miscarriage

Avatar f tn So, I decided to avoid any further medical involvement and have a natural miscarriage at home. Next day, my cramps started to increase and I could feel my uterus tightening/shrinking as well, just like after a delivery. I passed mulitple blood clots and large objects, (but I haven't had the need to carefully investigate them). At this point, it's been one week and cramps are getting very rare.
Avatar f tn I would contact your midwife or doctor and request some blood test be done to see if your hcg levels ar rising or dropping, keeping in mind that when your about 6 weeks they do take longer to double, have you had any bleeding/spotting at all? With a miscarriage, they usually leave you for aground 2 weeks to see if you pass it naturally, then give you the option of a d&c.....
Avatar f tn His intestines were on the outside of his body, missing an arm, and his nose had not developed. I had two ultrasounds one at 10 weeks and one at 12 weeks. At both ultrasounds he had a strong heart beat, but he was always laying on the same side and never moving around.
Avatar f tn I had a natural miscarriage at 6 weeks on Feb 29th. I bleeded for about 4 days like periods. After 3 days the doctor did a scan and found nothing. She said everything passed out and no need to DNC. Since I have a natural miscarriage, when can I try for kids?
Avatar f tn Im of course paranoid that it will end in miscarriage again, so I had them monitor my hcg level this week. My hcg at 13 dpo was 50 and at 15 dpo it was 139. Things are going well so far, but again I am only 4 weeks. I just worry that every little cramp will be a miscarriage again. I would suggest that whenever you feel ready, go for it. I was very early when I miscarried so I think I had less time to recover physically. I wish you all luck and healthy pregnancies!
Avatar f tn My brother and I were both born at home via midwife. My good friend just did a water birth at home as well. I would've liked to have done it myself, but I decided to look into it too late.
Avatar f tn The results were confirmed with a second ultrasound. I am opting for a natural miscarriage. How long do natural miscarriages normally take?
Avatar f tn The reason I joined is because I just recently on May 16 had a miscarriage, I was 8 weeks pregnant. It was a natural mc and it took me 10 days of misery, did not have a DC as my GP thought it was'nt necessary.Everything went smooth, though myself and husband were devasted, my body picked up and I waited for my period, it also came on time, that also went good..
325228 tn?1237138939 c. If you had a natural miscarriage, then it depends on whether it was complete or a missed miscarriage...
547512 tn?1273245025 The last was just before XMAS last year (I had a natural miscarriage) and my body has not been the same since. It took a couple of months to actually get my AF again and then I had a burst cyst etc, etc. so am now having to investigate further with my doctors as to what might be going wrong. Did you have a D&C or a natural miscarriage?
Avatar f tn Our hospital is an hour away so I got to the hospital at 8 and 9 cm for my second and third deliveries. I was induced for the first and hated it and they were going to induce the fourth but I started labor on my own as soon as they inserted the gel. He was born unless than 2 hours. I'm hoping this one will be natural.
6229533 tn?1383271177 It was really nice to spend the time at home talking through it and not being annoyed by the staff at the birthing center when nothing much was happening. By the time we got there I really did need help from my midwife but was very glad we waited as long as we did. It was a good experience for me overall.
374593 tn?1257879950 C and the other was a natural miscarriage at home. I know it varies from person to person, but in my case, I got a little bit of a warning before my natural miscarriage. I had some very minor spotting for a couple of days, and the day I miscarried, I started to get cramps. I had cramps on and off all day, and didn't pass the tissue until close to midnight that day. I then woke up in the middle of the night and passed another piece of tissue.

7442316 tn?1399778535 Lol. Well no they dont have that at home births. But the pain u feel is from tensing up. If you learn to relax properly it doesnt hurt so much. My mother-in-law had home births 9 times and she said the first few were kinda painful but when she learned to relax and let her body do its thing she didnt have any pain.
1328473 tn?1335874467 They gave me the first one at the clinic, and then told me to take the other one (inserted) at home. Then I got HUGE Pains, bleed like CRAZY. To the point the blood was soaking through the matress (sorry if im being too detailed) anyways it HURT SO MUCH. The cramps were like contractions. They even gave me a perscription for codine cuz they knew its painful. (I didnt fill it out so i didnt have them with me) Then this year I had a natural miscarrige.
9219710 tn?1402423353 I was passing clots at home and the rest came out at the hospital. The nurse was by my side when I was passing them, she was making conversation with me just to get my mind away from things, she tried and she was really. I have an appointment on Friday 13th June to see if I passed everything. I hope I did because I don't want to go through any medications or surgery, I wanted to do everything naturally. Now I feel so empty inside. I got married in April and got pregnant right away.
Avatar f tn It was definitely not easy, but best option for us. My mom also had a natural m/c at 8 weeks but she was 33 and it was 31 years ago.
Avatar f tn m sorry for what you are going through.. I had a d and e at 19 wks but I did not have a natural m/c. I have had 5 natural m/cs 1 of them was at 14 wks while I was pg with my 2nd child. It took my body a few mos to recover but my recovery was more than likely set back due to my still being pg. My first term m/cs usually took me a few mos to recover except for my last one I had in sept of last yr within one month my body was back to normal. It varies from woman to woman. Every pg is different.
Avatar f tn Being so early on, it's very possible. It's not an unusual miscarriage at all; in fact, most m/c are quick and painless and many women aren't even aware that they were pregnant, let alone miscarried. I'm sorry that you have had this experience, and hope that you never have to go through it again.
Avatar f tn What is a missed miscarriage? Share      Expert Answer Kim Mackenzie-Morris Midwife sonographer and expert on scans. After conception, a fertilised egg implants in your womb (uterus). Sadly, occasionally something goes wrong, and the pregnancy doesn’t continue to develop. This is a missed miscarriage, also called a silent miscarriage.  It’s called a missed miscarriage because you won’t realise that anything has gone wrong.
Avatar f tn Very light positive on home pregnancy test tonight. Miscarried at 15.5 weeks gestation almost 5 weeks ago. Natural delivery no D&C. Only bled 9 days after delivery. symptoms were all gone within a week. Tonight my breasts were extremely tender and feel full again. So I decided to test... not sure if it's left over HCG from my loss. Anyone have opinions to share?
Avatar f tn I'm sorry for your loss. I had a natural miscarriage in August, at 9 weeks 5 days and bled ALOT and huge blood clots came out. It was bright red blood too.. I bled for just over a week and got my period three weeks later. I hope this helps.
Avatar f tn Does anybody know any ways to induce labor at home. I looked on youtube ans someone said they took some castroil. And went into labor hours later. How many of you ever heard of that?
998387 tn?1257864128 I had a natural miscarriage Feb. 9th. I was 14.5weeks measuring 10.5wks. My partner and I have had unprotected sex ever since. We have always let "nature take it's course, what is meant to be will be." I am wondering now, I have not had my period which I know can take up to 12 weeks to come, but my hormone level one week after the miscarriage was at 20. I am wondering what the chances are that I could be pregnant again, and when to test.
Avatar f tn Congratulations! I also conceived at 42 and now again at 45 both times naturally. My son is 2 1/2 and I'm expecting a baby girl next week. I wish you an uneventful and healthy pregnancy!
