Avatar f tn This raises alot of questions about the dx because I think it's something else and had to go through 4 cardiologists and 2 more ep's to get one to agree with me and send me for more testing. you should see one of the top specialists on autonomic disorders and have a full autonomic workup to see if they can find anything regular doctors have missed. The National Dysautonomia Research Foundation or NDRF.org has alot of info on ANS dysfunction and MH does also - http://www.medhelp.
Avatar f tn A commonly overlooked cause of ADHD behavior is the absence seizure. During an absence seizure, the brain's normal activity shuts down. The child stares blankly, sometimes rotates his eyes upward, and occasionally blinks or jerks repetitively, he drops objects from his hand, and there may be some mild involuntary movements known as automatisms. The attack lasts for a few seconds and then it is over as rapidly as it begins.
Avatar n tn I had the same type of problems for years and fianlly stumbled upon this site and was able to find a doctor to help. National Dysautonomia Research Foundation www.ndrf.
Avatar n tn Neurologic forms of syncope include autonomic nervous system diseases and seizure disorders. These are diagnosed with tilt table testing and seizures with an EEG. Tilt table testing is a simple test that is pretty much what it sounds like. The patient is placed on a table and ECG and blood pressure monitoring are attached. The table is then tilted upright so the person is in a vertical position and the heart rate and blood pressure are monitored.

Avatar f tn Usually a LLMD outlines a plan of action and orders additional testing for endrocrine disorders, immune system abnormalities, and general tests like a CBC because Lyme effects every aspect of the body. I would want to dig a little deeper. Rule out autoimmune disorders and vitamin D deficiency to name a few.

Avatar n tn He had grand mal seizures for about 1 1/2 years, stabilized well on low dose of Tegretol and, great news, has been seizure free for 2 years. He has had significant blood work to eliminate many things and doesn't have Dystonia we think as a primary problem althought it seems to be a secondary issue. He is in good school environment getting PT, OT, and speech.

Avatar n tn Every doctor I've seen assures me that is impossible though I feel like there is something coursing through my veins, slowly poisoning me. I just don't know what do to. I've written to the foundation about finding an LLMD and will have my WB repeated. I'm wondering if this could be Lyme, or perhaps some kind of poisoning. All input is appreciated. Thanks to everyone.
Avatar n tn I have been told that at the amount I was taking there is no danger of seizure if you go cold turkey. However, not all doctors are that knowledgable about this and I would not advise you to do that. I have gone cold turkey once and did not have a seizure but became very depressed and had extreme anxiety for about 3 weeks. I was given trazadone to help me sleep because I had such insomnia. Once I started the trazadone I started to feel better.
Avatar n tn One night I had a grand mall seizure and that at least got people looking for something wrong instead of blowing it off as I was crazy. I take medication every day, but have had a few more seizures and the Dizzy, feeling tired, getting all worked up while driving continues. Sometimes worse than others. For along time driving five miles to work was something I worried about all day.(worked nights) I finally (after 5-6 years) refuse to be controlled by this feeling and it does help...
Avatar n tn Has anyone experienced any seizure-like activity? Not actually a grand mal but almost like your brain is having misfirings and they all the sudden catch up w/ each other. I hope this makes some sense. I have been having this for a few days now. I am worried because it seems like everyone here is having a slow-down of symptoms and I feel like mine are doing the opposite. I have tingling everyday and now this.
Avatar n tn they're telling me there is a 3-4 week wait period for the hcg because of a national demand. i just wondered how long it took for your products to arrive? i was considering ordering from the european market but am a little afraid of the quality control. i have about 60 lbs to lose and i am anxious to get started as quickly as possible! you said your products were about 5 days short of the 45 day supply? do you think that you injected too much each time or was there really just not enough?
