686484 tn?1258754242 i belong to a yahoo group that is for people who are bipolar, or the parents of bipolar persons. many people on this group are the parent of 1 or more bipolar children. I'd seek them out and ask their experience, but I DEFINITELY think you need to try to get your daughter some psychiatric help one way or another!! The name of the yahoo group is Bipolar Parents. Good Luck!!

1747881 tn?1546175878 Donald Trump's fight to stop U.S. companies from moving jobs overseas is garnering support from an unlikely group of American voters: Non-Republicans, who are warming to the idea of the president-elect in the White House. New results from the CNBC All-America Economic Survey found more than half of Independents and a quarter of Democrats said they are comfortable and prepared to support Trump as president.
1704625 tn?1310708761 I know personally how hard it can be to have a sleep disorder. I have narcolepsy. I feel that my family and friends have a little difficulty understanding exactly what's going on with me. So, I thought perhaps opening my own group where I can feel comfortable and discuss day to day life with others that have sleep disorders would not only help me out, but possibly others that are effected everyday like me. I am eager to hear from all of you soon!
Avatar n tn everyone would have to open a yahoo account.......thats the easiest way......i think.

I wasn't able to do it without stopping a lot 2 weeks ago. Yahoo. Oh and I started PT exercises on Thursday. It went well. I'm still working on getting off the walker.
Avatar f tn m not too sure what all of that means but I belong to a Yahoo! group whose members may be able to help. Sphincterofoddi_pancreatitis AT yahoogroups *******. Since medhelp usually blocks these out, feel free to write to me for the address. Michele, the Moderator, is an R. N. and she can usually help with interpretation of reports. Of course, I'm not a doctor and neither is she. Visit Lab Tests Online at http://www.labtestsonline.org/understanding/analytes/cbc/glance.

Avatar f tn You need to see a physician Sleep Specialist. 1.You could have sleep apnea and would be ''cured'' by using a CPAP machine when you sleep. 2.You could have a form of narcolepsy which could also be diagnosed by a Sleep Specialist. 3. You could have another type of a rare daytime sleepiness disorder named IH (Idiopathic Hypersomnia) which usually appears in your age group and older.
Avatar f tn The second group on Yahoo is EDSers. ***@**** The group is a smaller group of people but if you type a problem you will get someone that has been or is going through the same thing you are rather quickly. EDS is not as rare as was once believed to be. Now about 1 in 5000 people have this disorder compared to when I was diagnosed (in the 70's) it was about 1 in 20,000 people. My older sister and my daughter both have EDS.
Avatar f tn I was diagnosed with narcolepsy approx. 5 yrs. ago. I haven't gone for another sleep study since, nor has my doctor seem to ever remember that I have narcolepsy. I am his only patient with narcolepsy, and if I ever end up in his office, it seems like he always forgets that I have narcolepsy. I don't believe he has a good understanding of this. Any suggestions. I am in the process of trying to switch my doctor, but in the meanwhile, I have been more tired lately than usual.
Avatar m tn why not make your own online group and try to organize people? you can make a user group here on medhelp or yahoo groups are also useful for it.
1704625 tn?1310708761 Hello, everyone, I am fairly new to medhelp, and the sleep disorders community. I have narcolepsy, and was diagnosed about 4 years ago, or close to that. I was wondering if anybody else who has been diagnosed is still in denial after that long, questioning....maybe it's something else?! I can't believe I have narcolepsy.
Avatar n tn perhaps there may be some in your area. Oh - by the way, if you do read the Yahoo support group discussions, I tried their suggestion re: EMU oil, and it was AWFUL for me. My gyne said no, no, nooooo. Good luck, and even though this disease is awful, you're not alone with it. Here's to the best -- and let us know if you find something that works for you.
Avatar f tn I take it as drug theropy for Narcolepsy. I was diagnosed about 3-4 yrs ago. Since being on the Vyvanse it has helped me tramendously. Might be something to look into. Is is possible these sleepy episodes were going on for a longer period of time but possibly you though it was due to another reason? My biggest trigger is the car. As soon as I get into a car basically my eyes go shut and am extreamly tired.
