and at the same time it should not be happening. i do have narcolepsy and the reason i add this is because i know this in itself has a lot of symptoms ie cataplexy sleep paralysis.

ok for the past week my left side of the face has been feeling somewhat weak.... meaning mostly from the bottom of my left eye to my left forhead...the rest of my face feels normal... im terrified to get the bells palsy again...last time i had bells palsy was 2yrs ago around this time...so I went to the er and they gave me perdisone 50mg and valacyclovir 1gm.. will this prevent me from getting bells palsy again?? And is there anything I can do before I get the bells palsy?

I began developing symptoms of narcolepsy in high school, however, due to a lack of understanding at the time, it was not diagnosed until I was 23. My grandfather on maternal side had Parkinson's as long as I can remember, and I recently learned of a history of Lupus on paternal side; including grandmother, two aunts and my father himself. As a child, I always remember my grandfather, with his tremors, being prone to falling asleep any time he sat down.

It very well may be though that the narcolepsy is secondary to the lupus and fibromyalgia. Meaning you will have the label "narcolepsy" but indeed it is caused by the lupus and/or fibromyalgia. That is my quick opinion without doing any sort of research.

I am diagnosis with narcolepsy and have had symptoms for 5 years now. I have been taking 500 mg. of nuvigil for over 2 years. Plus, 60 mg of adderall a day. My symptoms have slowed down a little, but I have to take 2 naps a day and not drive anywhere. I have sleep studies twice a year and it seems to get worse each time. Its very aggravating to me! It seems like something would help. I see a team of specialists at Vanderbilt, but I need something else, but what? Anyone have any suggestions?

Many song artist are looking for lyrics and will pay big money for them. (not the music side, just the lyrics). You could also invent a product as the U.S. is a very big consumer market. (Its not that complicated to do this) Just takes a simple idea. Also you seem to be lacking a spiritual self, Not religion, but a connection to the earth, the sky and all living things. i was wondering if i should be tested for narcolepsy, or if diagnosed with narcolepsy would they prescribe me to something similar to adderrall? if this were the case, being tested would not matter much if they would give me the same medications anyways. I just dont want to be misdiagnosed and on the wrong medication for the rest of my life.
