I did and got ousted. All of a sudden the writing I had been doing for months was no longer any good, and that is the 'reason' they gave for ousting me. My co-workers were great, it was just the bosses.
431151 tn?1204124882 I recomend that. I was diagnosed with Narcolepsy...without a question...I guess I have the coolest disorder there is. That is the way I see it. J/K. If that is what they find, or if it is sleep apnea (which I know many who have) the treatments that are out there are great. They help. you can find somthing that will work for you. I agree with the Suri123. avoid caffine, and exercise. It really does help. I was diagnosed when I was 18, and I am 29 now. Sleep study is best option.

But in 2010, that number jumped to 5.3 per 100,000, which represents a 17-fold increase. Similarly, research compiled by Markku Partinen of the Helsinki Sleep Clinic and Hanna Nohynek of the National Institute for Health and Welfare in Finland, both of which were also involved in the new research, has determined a link between Pandemrix and narcolepsy.
446829 tn?1212425523 Let's put it this way, Everything is related. If you have a bulging disc, then you have a pinched nerve. If the nerve is pinched it sends a message to the muscle to tighten up. Therefore you end up with a tension headache. If you are uptight, your muscles tighten and cause it. If you have a pinched nerve, same thing. It is a shame you have had to suffer so much. Work place injuries are the worst. They can victimize you over and over.
Avatar f tn He is not able to tolerate the Narcolepsy medication. throat clossed, tongue swale, stomach blew up, stayed in toilet. Can some tell me what to claim and how to show the severity?
Avatar f tn 25% of the Population lacks whatever dna you need to process this toxin. Unfortunately the medical community mostly is in the dark about this. I found the leak myself once o realized my symptoms were SO much improved a few hours outside my residence.
Avatar m tn HI Zilian, you seem to be having good sleep if you are following the same cycle all the days. You need to say if are having sleep in day time also. How many hours you used to sleep early and what was your routine.
Avatar m tn I would describe the pain as deep (feels like it is in the bone), sharp/stabbing (Severity a 7-9 on a scale of 10 - where 10 is excruciating pain) and short in duration (lasts 3-10 seconds). It occurs frequently throughout my day and randomly in different places on my body (i.e. ribs, shoulder, upper and lower arms, fingers, upper and lower legs and sometimes my head). I'm also always fatigued, sleepy and low energy, but I keep myself moving and motivated.

398920 tn?1218779347 //www.emedicine.com/neuro/topic522.htm It would be better to consult a sleep specialist and get a sleep test done before you chose to take any drug. Keep updating your thoughts. Take care.
Avatar n tn I was diagnosed with CFIDS in 1994. Narcolepsy in 2005. I get basically no stage 4 or Rem sleep at night. Its no wonder why our mind and muscles can't heal themselves. I can go into almost instant dreaming during day (MSLT naps). I haven't been able to get anyone to help me figure out how to correct my sleep cycle. If you get any ideas, let me know. (I am on meds to help sleep and keep me awake at the right times, but it hasn't helped the sleep cycles.
Avatar f tn Although the pt has RLS and PLMS, the arousal associated with these do not likely explain EDS- given a short overall sleep and REM latency, consider narcolepsy clinically. I had 156 arousals, 110 spontaneous, the rest due to limb movement. I also spent most of my sleep time in sleep stages 1 and 2, whith REM episodes scattered randomly. I had no time in stage 3, and when I had REM sleep it was from wake to REM with no progression through the other cycles.

Avatar f tn I WAS DIAGNOSED 35 YRS AGO . . . I'VE BEEN TAKING 40MG OF CITALOPRAM IN THE AM ... AND 1 MG OF CLONAZEPAM AT NIGHT TO HELP WITH SLEEP ALONG WITH 10MG OF MELATONIN.
Avatar f tn Hello, Lifestyle treatment of narcolepsy includes taking three or more scheduled naps throughout the day. Patients should also avoid heavy meals and alcohol, which can interfere with sleep. Drugs which have been used for narcolepsy are Modafinil (Provigil) or Armodafinil. You should try the lifestyle measures first before going in for medicines.
10452875 tn?1436484351 I also work in retail & the standard is killer in the back. Stocking anything heavy may make it worse. If the merchandise is light & ca fit on a cart that is higher so you dont have to bend, then the moving around may actually help your back. But if not, I would ask your DR for a note & give it to the manager above yours. Explain that you have already spoke with him about it.
Avatar f tn Patients do not get abnormal amounts of night sleep rather they have problems waking up in the morning and staying awake during the day. The causes can be genetic, brain damage or medical disorders such as clinical depression, uremia and fibromyalgia. Sometimes hypersomnia may be due to other sleep disorders such as narcolepsy, sleep apnea, and restless leg syndrome. Your symptoms may be linked to depression. You should consult a psychologist for a complete medical and psychological workup.
Avatar f tn You also do not want to lose your job and you must worry about your flat and your child. So whenevr you see this allow yourself to let go of the times you hesitated in doing anything. You were smart in asking for help. I also want you then to let go of the times you almost gave in or entertaoned doing it and had to tell convince yourself that you may not be an unreliable provider for your child. How does the boss feel about you and/or treat you? How long have you worked for him?
