I am not on Cellcept which is Mycophenolate Mofetil 1g morning and 1g night. This is a fantastic immunposuppressant. Basically what I am telling you is that at any time your body cannot any longer tolerate one drug, there is always another waiting. The one I am on now is more 'pure' in other words there are less chemicals in in to effect the liver.
It might be worth a mention if you are uncertain but many people are able to tolerate your medication for many years.
Also, I have IgA nephropathy and have been on low dose immunosuppressant (mycophenolate mofetil 250 mg twice daily) for the past 1.5 years.
4 days ago, I noticed a little bump in on my labia minora. and I thought maybe it was a boil and tried to break it. It is now pus filled and looks like a zit. its just the one. One of the goodies which comes along for some of us Lupus patients is Lupus Nephritis. Some of us are also on certain meds which cause kidney damage or deficiancy not related to Lupus Nephritis. Right now your kidneys are OK. Repeating it in three months maybe because you are on cerain meds or in the process of you being tested for Lupus your doctor would like to keep a close watch on your kidneys particularly if you are having what is known as a Lupus Flare.

High calcium can be seen with SLE due to either the immune system targeting the parathyroid glands (extremely rare) or more commonly due to kidney problems.
Usually this test is done to monitor response to management of autoimmune disease. C4 and other complements are low in lupus and high in rheumatoid arthritis and certain cancers. Decreased component activity is also seen in nephritis, cirrhosis, bacterial infections, malnutrition, hereditary angioedema, and hepatitis.

I am on 750 urso three times a day now.. I am 52. I am now on Cellcept (mycophenolate Mofetil) 1g twice daily. This is because the other meds like Azathioprine and Mercaptopurine disagreed with me intensely and I turned a beautiful shade of butterscotch and was oh so ill. This new drug has less chemicals in and suits me very well, in fact I walked 6 miles in Jordan as opposed to not even being able to get out of bed.
The fact that you have a kidney cyst strongly suggests that you might also have nephritis from a kidney infection. Because of your other signs/symptoms this could be a systemic infection. Sometimes these are difficult to pin down, and most physicians essentially give up trying to find a cause, if an immediate cause can't be found.
If the symptoms persist then pls get other possibilities ruled out.The other possibilities are interstitial cystitis, interstitial nephritis,lupus,hypercalcemia,hyperthyroidism,hypopituitarism,hypoaldosteronism,hypokalemia,renal glycosuria,Addison’s disease and polycythemia.Pls consult a urologist and get these possibilities ruled out.I hope that helps. I am being successfully treated for a rare autoimmune condition with 15 mg prednisone and 1 gr mycophenolate daily. Although mycophenolate use involves a risk of opportunistic HSV infections, I was not warned about this.
I recently had sex WITH A CONDOM with a partner whose status for HSV infection is unknown. Within about a day, I had developed numerous lesions. These spread rapidly and my doctor said they had an appearance consistent with HSV.

I agree that you should always check on other suppliments. I only take cod liver oil tablets as a supplement with my meds.
Just a thought though, if you ever feel unwell on your meds, please do not be afraid to challenge your doc. I took mine as instructed and became so ill.

The best thing that I have found that boost the immune system is an herb called "Cats Claw". We first discovered it when my nephew had nephritis for 5 years. He was on constant antibiotic because of the constant infection. They just weren't offering him any hope as far as this thing coming to an end. I felt directed by God to buy cats claw for him. The infection went away and the blood too. That's been 7 or 8 years ago and he's still doing good.
