Avatar m tn Is that the ideal dosage or is it higher? I figure at my weight of 85 kg I was getting 1.76 mcg per kg. Now I am being dose reduced to a little over 1.05 mcg per kg (the guideline for adverse event neutropenia). There's really nothing I can do, just obsessing about the reduction. I am going to have two injections at that level before I see the doc again and hopefully go back to full dose. These will be week 8 and week 9 injections. I know it's not good especially this early.

1626068 tn?1303760162 5 * 2.7889 Weight (minimum) = 51.6 kg 24.9 = weight / (1.67)^2 weight = 24.9 * 2.7889 Weight (maximum) = 69.44 kg So the healthy weight range for someone with 1.67 m is between 51.6 to 69.44 kg. I hope this helps.

Avatar m tn When I started treatment I was 95 kg. I remember reading that the chances of SVR are better if you weigh 85 kg or less. Now, nearing the end of my 13th week, my weight is down to about 85 kg (as of this morning). I wonder if the weight loss help my chances of SVR? I'm on a 24 week treatment so I have another 10 weeks to go. Also, is the weight loss during treatment good for my health even if I don't attain SVR?

Avatar f tn You can ask the vet on Tuesday what would be an ideal weight for her. You can also ask if she needs to be tested for thyroid disease. It goes without saying that treats have to be included in the dog's total daily calories. You may be able to reserve a portion of her daily kibble to feed throughout the day as treats. For that matter, it's alright if she has to "work" for every kibble she gets, and you can give her the whole ration in the form of training treats.
Avatar f tn Hi there and thanks so much for posting this question! Yes I can hear your frustration as you know it is a combination between healthy nutrition and physical exercise the most effective approach. Now lets talk first about exercise: Are you exercising too hard? You have to remember that when you exercise too hard you may be burning muscle and not fat so although you are burning calories you may replenish them after staying with high levels of fat.
Avatar f tn But in a few years - I may try all of these. My weight seems to have leveled off. Not losing any more weight, I uped my carb intake, was practically eating no carbs. I will wait to see what my nex A1c is ... Thaks so much for your input ... I have never heard of LADA type diabetes.

Avatar f tn I know there are several people here who can't seem to put weight on. I stay sick to my stomach a lot, also. I would think that would make me lose weight. I don't know. I am starting to get very concerned about it. That is probably one of the last things for me to be "worried" about, but I have a fear of being overweight like my mother and sister. I want to be as healthy as I can at the time. Thanks y'all for your support.
Avatar f tn 8 for WEIGHT LOSS 1.0 is what I use for pets almost at ideal weight or at ideal weight that have a tendancy to gain weight. Now you can see why every manufacturer over estimates pet food quantities to feed. 1. they want to sell pet food, but 2. it's dependent on the pet and their ideal weight as opposed to their current weight. Go online to find the kcal/cup or can/pouch in the foods you feed. Most dry foods have 4-500 kcal/cup.
Avatar f tn The ideal aim should be to lose about half kg per week or two kg in a month. Some can effortlessly lose about 3 kg in a month. Too fast weight loss can cause rebound weight gain. Also, it can cause other problems such as loose skin, flabs at unwanted places etc. Apart from losing weight, you need to tone up the body. A combination of aerobic, strength training and stretches works best. Many people find it difficult to fit an exercise regimen into their lives.

Avatar f tn I'm not very good at metrics so I converted 56 kg and come up with between 120-129 lb. That's not ideal but I've seen a lot more weight stacked onto a 5' body. You don't mention your body make up; eg: you say you have really big thighs. Are the muscular, a bit flabby, or littered with cellulite? You also didn't mention your age. Losing weight and/or contouring your body is really not that difficult but it does take time.
Avatar f tn a quick answer for extra calories: olive oil, which might lower LDL and raise HDL. You should look at the ratio of HDL to LDL instead of LDL alone. Did you know that roughly 50% of people who have heart attacks have normal LDL levels? Eating a lot of carbs might raise triglycerides, which can be as bad as LDL. Carbs can also raise blood glucose and insulin levels. So you might concentrate on low glycemic carbs. Nothing is hardly ever simple. Is LDL bad?
Avatar n tn 6 mg/kg so researchers have attempted to find some kind of range but I don't hear much about that. My doc had a weight range of 111-141 for 800 mg so I got 800. By being at the bottom of that range, it seems a lower dose could work for me. Not a lot of research to back up the lower dose though. Although I think the IDEAL study had something to say about that. Thanks!
443968 tn?1288616289 I guess that age matter too and also when I became pregnant I was already over my ideal body weight, I was weighting 145 when I my ideal body weight is 125-130. To become pregnant I had to have series of infertility treatment for about 4 and half years, so I was taking a lot of hormones and having to inject them too for a long time, so this made me gain weight too, that is why I was already over when I became preggo, and the first 4 months of my pregnancy I was kept on hormone injections too.
1139187 tn?1355710247 1.6 to 1.8 mcg per kg ideal body weight. It gives this range for most women: 100 to 150 mcg Most men: 125 to 200 mcg Then it states those with severe hypoT require more medication. It also states that a person can receive full replacement dose to start treatment if they're under 60 years old. According to the site's recommendation (written by thyroid specialists), my dose should be 125 - 137 mcg. I am now on 162 mcg.
Avatar f tn I'm concerned because I have a lot of difficulty losing weight and had finally managed to get back into my clothes after gaining weight 3 years ago. I'm facing menopause and the weight battle will only get tougher. I'm scared to death. I think my clothes are already getting tighter... Thanks for any responses.
