Common Questions and Answers about My diet analysis nutrition

Avatar f tn My vet had offered Hill Science Diet m/d for my overweight cat Isabella. Currently I am transitioning my cats the ones are not overweight from Iams to Blue Buffalo Wilderness ( based on ingredients- less carbs/more protein). I am a Nurse and am trying to go about Isabella's weight loss plan scientifically, and would like some feedback. My plan is to feed her 7oz of the Wilderness dry food and 3.
Avatar n tn I did know about the fish oils, and had taken them prior ot my pregnancy, but was taken off them when I got pregnant and just haven't been able to get my diet back to what it was pre-pregnancy. This is my goal for the end of the month. Get my life organized enough to go back to the diet I had, since the cooking I had to do was so time-consuming. I'll try the ginger and tumeric, since these are easy to do right away. And fish oil capsules.

Avatar n tn I did buy some vegetarian cheese sometimes. After I have been on this diet, I noticed that my energy levels dropped significantly. For about the same time ( 6 years) I have been running long distances while being on this diet. I started running 3-5 km a day, building up to 14 km a day. I was going running every day, shine or rain. My diet was very simple: vegetables, bread, rice (sometimes, lots of soya (!) products and loads of chocolate.
Avatar f tn I recently had a blood test and my fasting blood sugar went from 87 to 96, and my A1C rose from 5.8 to 5.9. I was shocked because my diet has not included simple carbs for the past 6 months. Can you give me some insight as to what may be driving up my fasting gluclose and A1C if I'm not eating high carb foods? I do not cheat on my diet and I exercise 3-4 days per week. I would be happy to adjust my diet again, but I'm at a loss as to what can be causing this. Thank you.
775467 tn?1236786771 I think though what I will do is skip breakfast (I did have a banana with my AM meds) and split my calories between lunch & dinner. Then I'll go to bed early so I won't get hungry for something to eat later. Usually anything eaten after dinner is eaten to feed boredom or anxiety, not because I'm hungry. so if I go to bed around 8pm...I think it will curb that late night binging. I am not able to control it on my own so by going to bed...hopefully it will nip it in the bud.
Avatar n tn After a few weeks of therapy and psycho analysis, my disease began to slow down and eventually stop. I used to love stress, the more the better but I had to give it up because it was wrecking my arteries. I now stick to no diet, but I still take statins. I eat LOTS of fat and sugar but my angiograms keep revealing no further growth to the disease.
Avatar n tn He said that this was a great sign to be occurring so soon and that my body was withdrawing from my prior toxic diet and detoxifying. He explained that this was the first step before my ugly skin rash could heal.Within a few more days, my stiffness and pain had lessened significantly. I couldn’t believe I felt so good, so fast. Within one month, the discoid (lupus-caused) skin rash had disappeared. I looked and felt radiant. Everyone commented on howgood I looked. My skin looked soft and smooth.
1144849 tn?1395458766 I had a poor diet, I was lacking proper nutrition and I feel that over time, my body had great difficulty breaking down certain vitamins and nutrients. After reading these many books, and this single chapter of this book in particular, I found my direction. First I had to correct what I was eating. I weighed 298 pounds. I could barley tie my own shoes. My thyroid was going nuts. I had pain in my thyroid, and some problems swallowing.
Avatar m tn My 5 year old daughter has always been a picky eater. Her diet consists of cereals, rice and beans, chicken nuggets, hot dogs (no bun), pizza, fruits, and sometimes bread. We supplement her diet with "Ensure" and give her vitamin gummies. We’ve made her try everything, but this is all she would eat. Over the past year though, even this list has shrunk. All she eats now in a typical day is a half cup of cereal, maybe two chicken nuggets, and 4 - 6 oz. of ensure; that's it!!
Avatar f tn ) It's the high inflammatory diet (high carbohydrates (grain and sugars) and excess consumption of omega-6 vegetable oils) and low fat diets that have heart disease written all over it. One of the biggest selling magazines in Australia published this article- "Eating Fat Helps Us Slim Down"... "Don't be afraid of fat Christine says fat can actually be good for us.
442658 tn?1563390091 i have a 4 year old female beagle who has been eating wood chunks, stealing used charcoal out of the grill and chomping it down, sticks, rocks, kleenex and grass she is fed a healthy diet and seems very healthy but i am worried about her eating these things and if they will hurt her digestive system...sometimes she gets coughing spells too...any information is appreciated...
475555 tn?1469307939 At long last, and with my excuses for taking so long, the FibroTC analyses of my liver that I had done last year are now posted in my photos. The first image is a short series of explanatory notes from Dr. Gomez, the physicist who developed the FibroTC program in Seville, Spain, and who very generously ran my CAT-scans through his program. Then follow two series of FibroTC analyses of the two CAT-scans I had done in Buenos Aires in 2008 at a private imaging facility.
Avatar n tn however, it could also be from my diet, or my weight, or my age, or a recent reinjury of a torn tendon in my ankle (but why both ankles, then?). The swelling goes down when I eat healthy and am active. In addition, the swelling started when I reinjured a torn tendon in my ankle. There could be lots of contributing factors, but I am still working on figuring out which it is for me. I am betting it is my weight and diet so am working on those before I blame donating plasma.
Avatar f tn Now we tried boiled chicken she can't keep it in her stomach (she either get diarrhea or vomiting) we tried lamb and carrot she had a massive diarrhea after it. Now I don't know what to do, my vet don't know what do either (We are at the Middle East or we have only one good clinic) her last CBC was a week ago everything was fine, we did culture exam and it was fine, we did stool analysis test and the result is today. I don't know what's wrong with my cat!! I'm so sad I don't know what to do.
Avatar n tn i wonder if its a digestive problem, maybe the food isn't digesting properly and its making my body overload while i'm in a flat lying down position as for my diet, i eat absolutely nothing with sugar..i learned to stay away from sugar..i eat lots of flax, raw veggies, whole grain breads, little meat, peanut butter and drink lots of water maybe its nerves i don't know..
Avatar m tn I would guess TMAU2 and PATM seems to fall in somewhere. Here’s why I think so. Coffee is considered a good nutrition for the liver but coffee is known to irritate the gut. Doctors recommend people with bad livers to drink a lot of coffee. It’s not known specifically why, but some people think it has something to do with a number of proteins that coffee contains. These proteins seem to irritate the gut lining, in other wordings, it’s bad for the gut especially genetic susceptible people.
Avatar n tn Yes the Special K diet does work. If you dont like Special K, you can always substitute a low calorie cereal. I found the trick to eat a lot of LOW calorie cereal that fills you up (ie Special K or Mini wheats). Adding fruit spices each bowl up differently. Drink lots of water. Once you start drinking all your water, you stop retaining as much, and you lose a couple pounds of water weight, which can be great to get you motivated.
Avatar f tn Your story breaks my heart as I lost my 14-year-old dog, Chica, to this exact disease on January 4. The vomiting is so awful to watch in the end as it just goes on and on and on... There are many anti emetic meds to try. Has your vet not prescribed anything? Reglan (metoclopromadine) is a very cheap medication, unfortunately, it is also metabolized in the kidneys, so a too high dose results in toxic levels in the blood.
Avatar n tn This is not psychological! When I lay on my bed I can feel my heartbeat all over my body. It makes my body "twitch" for lack of a better term. I can actually make my bed MOVE slightly back and forth when lying on it. I've been tested for high blood pressure multiple times and almost always have a normal reading. I have other symptoms. It feels like my body is a big balloon that is over-filled and about ready to burst. I have constant slight pressure in my head.
Avatar m tn I have lived with it for years, but much of BPD as an illness is still beyond my level of analysis and the sophistication of my understanding—and it will remain so. My interest in the medical and scientific aspects of BPD, in spite of appearances to the contrary, are limited. 5.1.
Avatar n tn I have a male golden retriever, he is 11 years old and I'm extremely worried. My dog hasn't been eating properly for the past few weeks, he refuses to eat his normal food so we've been cooking him rice/eggs/meat/liver etc. Then after a while he doesn't eat himself unless we feed him by hands..and now he doesn't eat at all. Though he does eat some type of snacks. Now, he doesn't seem to have the energy to get up. He would try to get up but his legs seems to be weak or something.
429155 tn?1205676864 00 I got all the tablets I had, over 300, put them all in a bag and returned them to the chemist, and that was the start of my journey into the bowels of HELL!!!!! Below you will find my journey to reality ( Please remember I was suffering greatly when writing, so at times it may seem a bit emotional........And it was. MY JOURNEY THROUGH WITHDRAWAL. Thursday 4pm. Last of the Oxy ( This is how I will refer to the drug from now on.) Nauseaus through the night. Friday 6am.
Avatar f tn I think you can do a huge amount with diet to get his values down and his quality of life and life expectancy up. Have a read of my articles here: and just in case you are feeding anything that would be even slightly toxic (which would harm the kidneys even more): http://www.infobarrel.
184674 tn?1360864093 I adopted the absolute sweetest and most loving cat last month from the local animal shelter. My family and I love him to death, especially my two boys, ages 7 and 22 months. He's an orange and white male tabby, and I've been told he's probably half, or at least part, mang coon because he has six toes on each foot and he's about 20 lbs, or close to it, I'd guess. But there is one thing about him that is just horrible. He STINKS.
Avatar m tn I have been referred to a gastroenterologist who done an endoscopy which came back negative. Noone can shed any light if this is a seperate issue or related to my urological problems. My bowels arent moving without laxatives, despite having high fibre intake. My urologist had dismissed these saying things will settle down, but six weeks after the operation im in unbearable pain, could it be prostatis?
948349 tn?1294383837 One thing I know, is I have never tried taking dairy out of my diet... and dairy has ALWAYS been a part of my diet. I like milk, cheese... yummy for me. But I may try taking that out of my diet to see what happens. Well that's all I can say for now. Any more comments are appreciated. When I first posted I was like OMG I CURED MY ACNE!!! LOL but it hasn't gone away 100%, but it's not very noticeable at all now on my back. So I still see a vast improvement.
Avatar n tn I first would like to point out that I LOVE my son and I am only trying to get answers to help him. I don't want to discipline him if it is not within his control. Also, please don't criticize me for having 5 kids and not being able to handle one. I have always loved kids and always wanted a large family. All of my children are well loved, get attention and discipline, and in general, we receive compliments on them all the time about their behavior.
Avatar f tn why are they stateing that gluten free can eliminate specifically "thyroid antibodies"???
1977159 tn?1326104770 No medication yet - most doctors to date have discarded my concern that there is something more serious and put the issue down to my age (40) and possibly lack of proper nutrition. My concern was latergy, constipation, headaches, dry hair, chipping nails, and weight gain, As such, I decided to go to a nutritionist, to make sure I am taking the right food stuffs. Following a 2 month detox session, I still did not lose weight - and nutritionist recommended a Hair Mineral Analysis.
