Mupirocin ointment for dogs

Common Questions and Answers about Mupirocin ointment for dogs

Avatar f tn Well she had a surgery about 6 months ago and we received mupirocin ointment for it. I was curious to find out if the mupirocin ointment would have any affect on her sores? I know it's to fight infection and bacterial growth but I was hoping it would alleviate her pain and sooth her raw hot spot. Thanks in advance!
Avatar m tn also the day i noticed it i had slept the previous night naked, i have dogs with fleas..could it just have been a bug bite or wart?? this another wart or something else? This discussion is related to Fleshy bumps in pubic area?.
Avatar n tn Till then, topical antibiotics such as mupirocin or neomycin containing ointment are also useful. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
Avatar m tn Hello, Me and my partner have been in a relationship for about 14-15 months now. After about a month into our relationship and sharing a bed together, we discovered we had Scabies (caught from a friend who stayed over and used our towels, bedding etc). My partner had a VERY bad reaction to it, and it was much more visible and clearly more irritating to him than me. We used at LEAST 10-15 applications of Permethrin 5% cream, all over, left for 12hrs at a time over a good few months...
Avatar f tn I have had nice results using either Mupirocin antibiotic ointment twice daily or TrizChlor antibacterial spray once daily on affected skin in combination with oral antibiotics, and you can talk to your dermatologist about topical antimicrobial therapy if it is not already being performed.
Avatar n tn This 3 year ordeal has left me suicidal. Thank goodness for my dogs or I might not be here. Will I ever get better and how much permanent damage have I suffered? When I read some of these posts of people going on like this for 20 years it makes me so sad.
Avatar m tn always uncomfortable, wondering if it is cancer, very embarrassing, anyway, back to MRSA, I just dabbed a small amount of mupirocin 2% ointment prescribed by PCP, and it is gone!!!!! not sure for how long, but I am so happy I'm not the nose picker anymore, hopefully they do not come back, but if they do, I will use the ointment.......
408312 tn?1202062473 I do remember a week ago eating some very seasoned wheat crackers and it swelling and burning my lips... But it has only gotten worse. I have tried antibiotic ointment (mupirocin 2%) as the Dr prescribed for the cracks in the corners of my eyes and lips. I've tried taking my oral Zovirax.... I've tried my steroid cream (aclovate) and plain old carmex. Nothing has helped and they still sting and throb.
Avatar n tn It's a little scarier this time because the abscess in the right nostril is so painful and now I have a headache, swollen gland in the left side of my neck, the roof of my mouth on the left side, burning and pain on my let cheek and lip and I have been on Bactrim for about 3 days and applying ointment to the sore. I keep thinking since it's Sunday I want to go to the hospital and get checked but I'll feel like a jerk if there is nothing they can do.
Avatar f tn looking substance called keratin. They may occur anywhere on body but scalp, ears, back, face, and upper arm, are common sites for sebaceous cysts. A cutaneous horn is a conical projection above the surface of the skin that resembles a miniature horn. Cutaneous horns usually are asymptomatic. But sometimes they can become inflamed and cause pain. I suggest you to get an evaluation done from a dermatologist to confirm the diagnosis.
Avatar n tn I started using cotton gloves when I drive my car at work because I discovered that the steering wheel really irritates my hands. They crack and are very painful. I use Mupirocin Ointment for cracked areas and then a bandaid which I am probably allergic to also, who knows. I've considered doing some sort of detox to see if that is what my body needs but it's hard to work and do this since I'm on the road all the time.
Avatar n tn For a while they cleared up (for about a week), but then started coming back. I decided to try using some Mupirocin, on the idea that it may be bacterial in nature. I found tube of Bactroban that my ex-girlfriend left behind (which had never been opened - must have been a spare tube or something). The doctor had prescribed it to her when she got a rash on her skin and it worked really great. Anyway, I gave it a shot.
Avatar m tn Thought I was going crazy!!!Ended up see new female she took one look and said Mersa same as staph.Rx. for me MUPIROCIN OINTMENT 2%.Just got ointment out this year and it already feels 100% better.Must be something in the air.The spelling is right on the ointment I double checked.I am located in high humidity area, are any of you?
Avatar n tn I have a perscription for an antibiotic, which I need to take 3x per day for 14 days, and an ointment to put on the area daily. She suggested that I clean the area twice a day with peroxide, put on the ointment, apply a warm water compress, and then bandage. The procedure and medications totaled about $200, without any insurance. Money that was WELL spent in my mind. Thanks so much for all of your help. I am so happy that this process is almost done with! Take care!
Avatar n tn Ok, so I've been putting up with on again, off again itching for months on my labia, near my vaginal opening. Never "diagnosed" with HPV but I did get rid of a suspected wart this past year. Can you have a bacterial infection without discharge? It drives me CRAZY sometimes, the only thing that calms it is gold bond ointment, which is minty and refreshing but I'd like no itch. No "rash" that I can see, unless I give in and scratch.
Avatar f tn Thanks for the post, I've had this problem for going on 6 years now and I've tried everything. I rinse with saline no less than three times a day and use a steroid spray Nasonex at night, my ENT advised me to use Mucinex to help thin the mucus. It helps but every four months like clockwork, the smell is out of control. It never completely goes away but when it's bad I have to actually stay away from people.
Avatar m tn It sounds like a whole lot of misery for you. for the itchy skin, did you try QUELL lotion (over the counter item)--maybe scabies. Or cortizone cream? For the things crawling out your anus (maybe pinworms). ask your doctor for a prescription for Vermox or Mebendazole(by Rx only). In general, just google MORGELLONS SYNDROME or Morgellons disease and see if it fits you. I do not think you are imagining what you are feeling.
Avatar n tn I take Lipator, vitamin D, and use a estrogen patch for hot flashes and night sweats, (I'm 56 years old). I have two small dogs. I have had adult acne since I was in my twenties. Have had eczema on my hands and feet, on and off, since my twenties. Have been under extreme stress lately due to being laid-off and my husband's prostate cancer. My race is a mixture of Hebrew, English, and American Indian. Let me know, maybe we can figure out this condition!
1397648 tn?1288146526 I actually hallucinated on them and they lingered for days. I did talk to others that have had surgery and they didn't have the same reaction , so it may be just me. I had essentially 2 nurses taking care of me in my room, one for general house keeping and care and the other a cardiac nurse. Both were professional and caring to the max. I also, being a single guy, developed a crush on my nurse in the OR, but I'll save that story for my buddys.
