It was originally identified as staph and treated with Mupirocin and Clobetasol by my Dr. Unfortunately 2 weeks of use has done nothing. I haven't been able to see her again so I figured I'd post here. I have a feeling this could be fungal, but am not sure. As you can see in the pic, it is a red irritation and slightly raised. It has shown only minor response to both clobetasol and mupirocin. It has never itched.

will this cause worse scarring? I apply ointment onto it daily that contains mupirocin. how long should it take to heal?
I was prescribed Mupirocin for a non-healing nasal ulcer. I used it for about 2 days then woke up with a bad headache today from the get go. I've tried everything I can. I have taken Tylenol TWICE, Hydrocodone with Acetaminophen in it, nasal spray, a Breathe Right nasal strip (since I do have severe sinus problems.) NOTHING has worked or given any relief.
I recently called in a old prescription for mupirocin 2% ointment. My question is if I use it as directed will it help clear up these ugly bites? Summer is coming up and I don't want my legs to look bad this summer please help and let me know if the cream will work!

Me and my partner have been in a relationship for about 14-15 months now. After about a month into our relationship and sharing a bed together, we discovered we had Scabies (caught from a friend who stayed over and used our towels, bedding etc). My partner had a VERY bad reaction to it, and it was much more visible and clearly more irritating to him than me. We used at LEAST 10-15 applications of Permethrin 5% cream, all over, left for 12hrs at a time over a good few months...

Back in August I had a lesion in the same spot and tested negative. They gave me a shot and mupirocin to put on sore along with pills to take and it Went away just fine.. this time I did not get a shot but I did get mupirocin and a different set of pills but lesion is still there after almost two weeks.. any way that this is not herpes . At since I tested negative months ago for all std and tested negative again last week.
He gave me a steroid (nebulized) to decrease the internal swelling and I am about to start trying mupirocin (nebulized) for 3 weeks to see if that helps. Since there is confusion as to what this is, I made a somewhat risky decision and applied Mupirocin ointment USP, 2% to the remaining ulcers on my scrotum that had not yet healed. After an overnight application and two applications today, there is a dramatic difference. The sores have stopped weeping and are almost completely healed.

ve been using hibiclens twice a day, antibacterial wash twice a day, mupirocin in my nares twice a day, started hydrocortisone twice a day today and also a lotion with oats once a day from today. Does anyone have any other suggestions? Can a pretty bad case clear without antibiotics? They haven't done much for me in the past other then mess up my guy.
Topical antiseptic treatment and topical antibiotics such as mupirocin or neomycin containing ointment is very useful. If still the lumps persist then specific treatment like antibiotics, vit A supplements, corticosteroid injections, isotretinoin, antiandrogens and sometimes excision and drainage ,laser therapy and radiotherapy are found useful.

You can have your cats tested at vet to see if they are carriers. I rescued my oldest cat back in january i was in my first trimester, BD said he would clean her box, he never does. I got scoopable litter i scoop it out into a bag throw it away and wash hands really good. I got the kittens when they were 8 weeks old.
I dont think so but in my situation i was never allergic to cats and now that im pregnant its horrible my whole body starts to break outs so i had to get rid of them
Yeah my sister has two cats, she has twins and it's fine. Just make sure when baby is napping to close the door so the cat won't go in there. Cats like to sleep by their heads and it can suffocate them.
I have two cats, they were both inside. Pregnant women aren't suppose to change litter boxes and sometimes cats can be dangerous once the baby is born because they can tend to be really cuddly and cause suffocation or take the babies breath away. I gradually got my cats use to outside and they usually stay in our garage now, atleast until the baby's born and older.
