The hospital had a new MRI machine since the last time and the doctor attributed these lesions to the new MRI. I have had increased symptoms of fatigue and in recent weeks a tingling along both of my legs, my feet hurt and I am having alot of back pain that sort of circles around. Should I start with my PCP to see if it is my back or go straight to my neurologist? I am on Copaxone, but I was off of the shots for 6 mos prior to this last MRI for insurance reasons.

I know a few people who were obviously experiencing type 2 diabetic related symptoms and had signs of peripheral neuropathy but because their bloods were still normal they didn't get diagnosed.

Many of us are in limbo and have symptoms like yours. Many have been trying to get an accurate dx for years. It's awful! You are in good company here. I doubt if any of us can say what the chances are that you have MS. There are so many things that mimic the disease. If you think your doctor has stopped looking, find a good neurologist. Read the health pages here and elsewhere, and don't give up on finding out what is wrong, whether it is MS or something else!

I have been diagnosed with HHV6, EBV, coxsackie B4, Post Osterial Tachycardia, Chlamydia Pnemonia, and CFS. My symptoms go on and on. Other medications are used (like the Solu-Medrol) during attacks, and to help with symptoms (like Provigil for fatigue). Hi Kyle, Thanks for the welcome and thanks too for your reply. Glad to know this neck/nerve thing isn't likely MS! To answer your question,I do have other symptoms, dating from about 20 years ago. Started with trembling hands in my 20s to not being able to run from a standstill in my 30s. Both issues resolved within several days. Currently, the left side of my face feels either cold (but isn't) or vaguely numb.

Hi there. These are plausible signs of multiple sclerosis and this needs a detailed examination by a neurologist and other causes of similar overlapping symptoms. The hyper intense lesions in the white matter are areas of demyelination which are peculiar to multiple sclerosis, cerebrospinal fluid also needs to be tested for cells, proteins and oligoclonal bands and electro physiological studies. These along with clinical signs and MRI quite likely point towards multiple sclerosis. Take care.

One of them said it is all due to ur anxiety ( Cause i do not have any bladder problems and dizziness, numbness tingling all is due to anxiety) but one said its Multiple Sclerosis+ anxiety. My MRI and EEG were clear. Currently i have high frequency of muscle tingling through out my body only when i am lying on bed plus i see double vision of any statement especially ( white in colour) on TV and laptop. Is it MS? Should I start taking Med for MS or just let it be and hope it will go away?

Hi, kak- I'm sorry to hear of your bf diagnosis. That in itself is scary enough for both of you and your family and friends. I don't know how much you know about MS so I encourage you to check out our Health Pages, as wobbly said. I assume that your bf is now on some meds for his MS, namely Disease Modifying Drugs (DMD)? If not, I urge him to get started on one of those asap. They do not cure MS but they have good results of slowing down the progression.
