Avatar n tn g some places allow for a transfer of up to five days. In short, I wish to know what differences in In Vitro Fertilization procedure increase chances of conception? Are there any jurisdictions that have proven to be more successful in getting couple to conceive via IVF? Any thoughts or info on these issues are very much appreciated. Thanks.
Avatar f tn Since you have been unable to conceive since last 5 years the other treatment options for you are intrauterine insemination, in which the man´s previously capacitated sperm are introduced in the woman’s uterus during ovulation. Other options are in vitro fertilization, in vitro fertilization with intracytoplasmic sperm injection insemination and/or IVF and ICSI may need to be considered. Discuss your concerns with your attending doctor and keep me posted. Take care and regards!
Avatar f tn It is used in cases with moderate teratozoospermia.Other options in vitro fertilization, in vitro fertilization with intracytoplasmic sperm injection .Patients suffering from this condition should take essential amino acids like L-Carnitine and antioxidants. You can discuss with your doctor about IVF and ICSI.Do seek the opinion of an experienced infertility expert. I hope it helps. Best luck and regards!
Avatar m tn In order to get sufficient eggs for the in vitro fertilization process, a woman is injected with medications using one of several IVF medications to help develop multiple egg development, the eggs are developed in fluid filled sacs called follicles, measured by ultrasound, and hormone levels, the gently retrived from the follicle wall, Your friend in theory should be able to do this, she will require testing, as to how well her remaining ovary is functioning, As you likely know its possible for
20822278 tn?1523714349 In some women with fertility problems, semen is placed manually during in vitro fertilization procedures. Somehow, the semen has to get inside of the woman. While it only takes one sperm to actually fertilize the egg, it takes millions of sperm to breakdown the corona (barrier) on the outside of the egg. So, if there is no penetration and ejaculation, it is difficult to get enough sperm to the egg, for fertilization to occur.
Avatar f tn Have a tubal re-anastomosis (which is a major surgery and usually not covered by insurance) or in vitro fertilization--you would probably be an excellent candidate--but again, cost is often an issue. A reproductive endocrinologist could help you decide which is the best route for you to take. Good luck!
Avatar f tn My husband and I are considering In Vitro Fertilization. My husband has a recipricol translocation between chromosomes 11 & 22. Basically, that means that chromosome 11 & 22 have switched places. Thus, putting us at a high risk of having children with abnormalities and miscarriages. I have had 2 miscarriages so far and no successful pregnancies. We have been trying for about 2 years. I am currently on my first round of clomid.
Avatar n tn HI, I AM 39 YRS OLD AND AM GETTING READY FOR IN VITRO FERTILIZATION 1ST TIME, MY DR.
Avatar n tn Tubal reconstruction is an option, as is in-vitro fertilization, and also adoption. The reason I mention the latter is that tubal reconstruction and in-vitro cannot guarantee you a girl.
318269 tn?1241350235 I use the dollar tree tests and they have always been accurate for me so I would say congrats!!!!! The ones Ive used this pregnancy it seems to take a minute or 2 for the second line to appear. I would say the one last night if you would have given it more time was probably pos. The one from today as long as it came up within the time frame is deffinitly pos. I have never gotten any evap lines from them but ive read on other boards that they are prone to evap lines after the time limit.
5875562 tn?1410898886 Other options are in vitro fertilization, in vitro fertilization with intracytoplasmic sperm injection . This is merely an advice and not a substitute for clinical examination. For more queries and suggestions it is suggested to seek the opinion of an experienced infertility expert. I hope it helps. Best luck and regards!
Avatar m tn Why do you need a semen sample? Are you trying to determine if your semen is viable, or do you possibly want to use it for in-vitro fertilization to have a baby? If so, that can be done, but again, I think semen would need to be medically extracted for that purpose...
Avatar f tn Antioxidants protect sperm from damage from free radicals, which can affect their motility and ability to fertilize an egg. If a couple is undergoing fertility treatment, poor results during in-vitro fertilization have also been reported when the male partner smokes." Hope this helps!
Avatar f tn You would need to speak to a fertility specialist about that. I'm sure you could always try in vitro fertilization (IVF). They'd take eggs from your ovaries and your partner's sperm and them put the embryo(s) into your uterus. It's expensive. And if you don't have eggs on your own, you'd have to find an egg donor.
Avatar n tn - Preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD) also called preimplantation testing is used to detect genetic changes in embryos that were created using assisted reproductive techniques such as in-vitro fertilization. In-vitro fertilization involves removing egg cells from a woman's ovaries and fertilizing them with sperm cells outside the body. To perform preimplantation testing, a small number of cells are taken from these embryos and tested for certain genetic changes.
1416390 tn?1333901604 IVF is in-vitro fertilization, which means, fertilization of the egg in the petri dish rather than in the human body. (In vitro means "in glass.") By all definitions, you're doing IVF. It's immaterial in that definition whether you produced the egg or someone else did. Incidentally, especially if you chose a donor that looks like you, your child will look like you.
Avatar n tn You won't be able to get pregnant naturally. You'll need to do IVF (in vitro fertilization) in order to conceive. I lost one tube due to ectopic and because my other tube appears to be blocked as well I was told by many drs that is my only option.
Avatar f tn Hello my wife and I are going to do In Vitro Fertilization and was wondering if there is any grants for it or any help to pay for this. Thanks for you time.
Avatar f tn Hence it is advisable to discuss it in detail with your doctor. You can also go in for in vitro fertilization in which the egg is retrieved from your tubes, fertilized and grown outside the body and then reimplanted in your uterus. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps.
