Avatar m tn One of them said it is all due to ur anxiety ( Cause i do not have any bladder problems and dizziness, numbness tingling all is due to anxiety) but one said its Multiple Sclerosis+ anxiety. My MRI and EEG were clear. Currently i have high frequency of muscle tingling through out my body only when i am lying on bed plus i see double vision of any statement especially ( white in colour) on TV and laptop. Is it MS? Should I start taking Med for MS or just let it be and hope it will go away?
Avatar n tn Please go for EMG of muscles and MRI of brain and spine. There are some diseases that cause stiffness of muscles like Fibromyalgia, Multiple sclerosis and Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. Please consult a physician and neurologist for complete examination, diagnosis and treatment. Hope this helps you. Take care and regards!
Avatar f tn This could cause tingling, numbness in the lower limbs due to the nerve passing through the spinal canal. Consult your neurologist for a possibility of multiple sclerosis. Multiple sclerosis is a chronic demyelinating neurological disorder where the disease phase is characterized by active phase and remissions. It has multiple symptoms and signs and is a diagnosis of exclusion.
Avatar f tn It has multiple symptoms and signs and is a diagnosis of exclusion. The symptoms of multiple sclerosis are loss of balance, muscle spasms, numbness in any area, problems with walking and coordination, tremors in one or more arms and legs.
Avatar m tn Though twitching is sometimes a symptom of serious diseases such as spinal injury, muscular dystrophy, Lyme Disease, multiple sclerosis or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), it is much more often due to more benign causes (BFS, over-exertion, etc), and virtually everyone will experience some episodes of benign fasciculation during their lifetime. Do not self diagnose and let your neurologist diagnose your case, self diagnosis will lead you into depression. Take care!
Avatar m tn The other possible cause could be multiple sclerosis and is a diagnosis of exclusion. The symptoms of multiple sclerosis are loss of balance, muscle spasms, numbness in any area, problems with walking and coordination, tremors in one or more arms and legs.

Avatar n tn Neurological conditions such as multiple sclerosis (MS) and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) cannot be conclusive due to elevated CPK. Have patience and consult a neurologist and do not come to diagnosis yourself. As per as medication you can only take them with a prescription and you have to go for a neuroligist for this. Take care!

402504 tn?1241996524 I recieved paper work from my insurance company today about requested procedures. The title that reflects the doc's reason for needing procedures was "Suspected Multiple Sclerosis". Then came the list of denials. The head MRI was approved, but the MRA was denied because it didn't fit the diagnosis (what?). Thoracic and spinal MRI's are denied until a head MRI is suggestive of MS but not firmly diagnostic.
Avatar m tn Has your wife had an EMG/NCS test done by her neurologist? Her symptom is a common one for PLS (primary lateral sclerosis), or ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease). PLS is a variant of ALS and they are often misdiagnosed one for the other. PLS only has damage to the upper motor neurons, while ALS has damage to the upper as well as the lower motor neurons. Hope she finds an answer.
Avatar f tn Please take him to a pediatric neurologist to rule out Gullian Barre Syndrome, amyotropic lateral sclerosis, Lyme’s disease, polio and post-polio syndrome, multiple sclerosis, motor neuropathy, and spinal muscular atrophy. EMG, spinal tap, MRI of the cervical spine, nerve conduction velocity tests will be required to nail down the diagnosis along with detailed history. It will help if you can chart his disease progression systematically to help nail the diagnosis. Take care!
