Avatar f tn I have worked hard to pay attention and still drop things. Sometimes I drop things when I'm not paying attention. It's when I'm trying really hard and drop things. Mostly a problem with small things. I tried to use a screwdriver to screw something together. That's the only thing I was doing. It had my full attention and I dropped the screw and screwdriver (each randomly) so many times I had to stop and go cry. My husband kept telling me he would do it but I was determined.
Avatar f tn It can be frustrating when it happens when i was first having my attack of TM i was dropping things in my right hand. even though i'm having all problems with my left side. Like you it felt like i had normal strentgh in my hand but just kept dropping things or they just slipped out. My left hand does get really itchy like you on the inside of my skin rather than the outside of it and it seems to be quiet regular.
Avatar f tn But yes, even though there are people diagnosed with MS, they CAN and DO have symptoms that are not caused by their MS, but mimic MS symptoms. If that sounds confusing...it is, but it's the best way I can describe it. It's always dangerous to blame everything that happens to us on MS. You could have another disorder that overlaps into MS symptoms. I am sorry that I cannot be more clear cut.
Avatar m tn 2nd consultant i saw i mentioned that my symptoms were exactly the same as MS. He said i didnt have this and that i had a dysfunctional neuro disorder, and because my symptoms had improved, he said if i fell ill again that i needed to see a neuropsychologist because he thought it was in my head.
495035 tn?1221753092 It is very hard or early to tell if this can be MS as the symptoms can be very non-specific. Other causes can be primary nerve problems other than MS, such as micronutrient deficiency (vitamin B, calcium, etc) or nerve problems caused by stress. I suggest that you take this to your doctor especially if the symptoms seem progressive and involving other areas of your body as well. Regards.
Avatar f tn The things dropping sound like things I've heard of happening to women who have experienced many (or just difficult) pregnancies. Have your docs suggested that MS is a factor in these things? Bladder control, yes, but the rest sounds to me as though it could well be from other causes. As I said somewhere else this morning, I'm no doctor. Just offering thoughts.
Avatar f tn ve been getting almost week long migraines every month along with a lot of other things like; clumsiness, running into things, dropping things, knocking stuff off tables, falling down the stairs, ringing in my ears, forgetfulness, stumbling over words, misreading words, forgeting words, extreme fatigue, and leg pains. Im sure I'm forgetting some other stuff. Im not sure what is wrong I guess it could be anything.
Avatar f tn I am wondering what I can possibly gain from this appt. Could this be MS? I am aware that such symptoms can be anything else as well. I am scared and it isn't going away. Thanks!
293157 tn?1285873439 Hi everyone, I noticed when I got the results of a blood test, that my WBCs are dropping they are still in the "normal" range...but notice since a year ago...they are heading down...all the WBC ones...the RBC seems fine and the Placlets?? are fine... I wonder what it means.. I know it mean you could have an infection...but for this long of a period. Or is it common for them to steadily drop...?? any ideas I would appreciate...and I know this isn't to do with MS...??
Avatar f tn Thank you for responding... I think I am really just having a hard time accepting that I have MS. For a long time I didn't know if the things I thought I was feeling (ie the tingling hands) was real or just in my imagination because the sensations are sporatic and just odd.
Avatar f tn I had a few symptoms of MS a few years ago. Lightheaded, dropping things, balance was off. tingling in right thumb. My mother was diagnosed with MS approx. 4 years ago. Anyway, I read that 7% of people with Pars Planitis develope MS. SHould I request an MRI from my Dr. or am I being paranoid? THanks for any help.
8969979 tn?1400905436 Thank you for reading, I'm taking 50,000iu once weekly for the next three months. I go do my first MRI to check for MS. I was wondering though could my low Vitamin D be the cause of all my symptoms. But I hadn't read anywhere that Low vitamin D causes tingling in hands and feet (10 months), burning sensation, memory problems, crawling sensation, dizziness, clumsiness, and dropping things. And I hadn't had any crazy MS attack like i read about others having. Just confused!!
4936507 tn?1365361667 There are 4 things which effect MS symptoms heat, fatigue, inflammation, and nerve damage. With heat and fatigue the symptoms can last as long as you are hot or tired hours or even a day or two. Once you cool down or rest these symptoms will disappear. With inflammation symptoms can last days, weeks, or months. Once the inflammation dies down the symptoms go away. Steroids are sometimes used when inflammation is really bad. This is what a relapse is. With nerve damage symptoms are permanent.
Avatar n tn Hello all, I have just had a mri done for MS and it's come back clear. The only thing noted was an isolated hyperintense focus was seen deep in the white matter of frontal lobe. The appearance not of ms. I asked doctor what this meant and he couldn't advise? Does any one have any suggestions? I'm so over symptoms of dropping things, tremors, and balance issues.. It slowly getting worse I'm 41.
Avatar f tn I was a suspect for Peripheral Neuropathy and Raynauds and now MS. PN was ruled out with an EMG. I have a contrast MRI next week. I am so worried that I am going to make things worse for myself with the side effects of contrast. Right now I am always cold and have constant pins and needles all over my body with occasional blood rushes. I heard there is no definite diagnosis for MS. Is this true?
Avatar f tn Then, this past July all those same symptoms came back but also a bunch of other symptoms like dropping things, running into stationary things, foot not working when trying to brake while driving :/ (just to name a few) then come November the disappeared again except for this time the back pain stayed (but not as sever).
Avatar f tn The symptoms you describe could be neurological in nature, but they could also be caused by other things. MS is a diagnosis of exclusion - the doctors have to eliminate every other possibility and then see what's left. If MS is still a possibility, then it will be added to the list of suspects. Working through a dx of MS is not for the faint or weak, either. Keep your sense of humor - it will come in handy.
Avatar f tn For about 9 week I have been experiencing severe facial pain, pressure in the left side of my head, occasional numbness in my arms, legs and face (and very occasional tremors), occasional stabbing pains in my arms and legs, occasional stiffness in my legs (mostly ankles - so I can barely walk), hard time concentrating, dropping things, tinitus, night sweats, increased urination (both these have been written off due to my age - now 45 ) and way more.
Avatar n tn It does sound like you are having some symptoms consistent with MS, but the problem with this is MS has many mimics and there are many tests to be done to rule them out. We have some great health pages that explain many things about MS and it's symptoms. Just click on the health page icon in the upper right hand corner. One thing we've learned on this forum is, no one knows our bodies better than we do.
398059 tn?1447945633 I have been gluten free since last fall and it has made a huge difference with my MS symptoms. But, in the same breath, still love to have pizza and treats like brownies and cookies. I have tried much of what is out there. More then happy to share if you want any suggestions to try to save some of the money we went thru trying things that came out a big blah or yuck. Good luck with everything... Keep posting and let us know how everyone is doing!
Avatar f tn Do you have more symptoms during your menstrual cycle? I seem to notice a bit more numbness and find myself dropping things during this time. I wonder if it is because my body temperature seems higher at that time. I was just wondering since I have been dropping things all day! Have a great 4th everyone!
Avatar f tn I keep losing grip in my hands and dropping things- mainly plates! I am a mum to an 8 year old and luckily have a brilliant husband who has taken on all responsibility! My doctor says I have a headache that will ' go away eventually'. He just doesn't seem to get my concern and I don't know where to turn. Please does anyone have any advice.
Avatar f tn tingling in legs and arms, drop foot (tripping a lot), hands dropping things, chordination problems (running into door frames or other objects due to not being able to perceive acurate distance)、foot not working while driving. My MRI last year was negative (im scheduled for more in a couple of weeks) I do have a lot of symptoms that are common to both MS and fibro but also lack some of the main symptoms found in both.
