Mri scan your arm

Common Questions and Answers about Mri scan your arm

Avatar n tn I had a brain mri scan for recurrent 'auras' thought to be due to migraine. The result of the scan came back normal except for a few spots of plaques. I am 50, is this normal? I am concerned that it is indicative of early degeneration associated with dementia.
Avatar n tn I understand these should be avoided while pregnant, but what if they are medically necessary? Has anyone gotten an MRI or Cat Scan while pregnant? What was the outcome, did it have an affect on your baby? Was it worth it? I have been experiencing agonizing pain in my left shoulder, neck, and arm, that sometimes radiates to my chest, making it hard to breathe. I am having a really hard time sleeping, and even functioning, and my quality of life has gone down because of it.

Would a bone metastases have been revealed on the MRI of my arm and shoulder? Should I ask for a bone scan? Avatar f tn I had many tests performed at that time, all of which returned normal, including MRI scan of the brain. After a couple of weeks the paralysis in my face went away but I still suffer on occasion from weakness in my left arm. Recently, after spending a wonderful day out, I developed paralysis in the right side of my face, as well as slurred speech, but no other symptoms. Again, I was admitted to the hospital overnight where they started me on Plavix.

Avatar f tn I have just got a MRI of my brain done and the report came back saying they found a 'solitary high signal intensity focus in the left centrum semi ocale measuring 0.3mm and most likely to me a small glyotic focus. I have been having problems with numbness in my right arm as well as left when laying down or even something simple like holding a phone to my ear. Each arm has it different times they go numb and also having focus issues with my eyes.
Avatar n tn Please let me know what you think makes sense as a possible diagnosis. I will see about getting a bone scan. Again, thank you for your consideration.

Avatar f tn Thank you for your reply, I was first told it was a rota cuff then a frozen shoulder then neuropathic pain then a shoulder impingement.......I had a mri scan but all that came back was mild tendonitis mild arthritis and evidence of 2 small bursa , my GP and pain clinic doctor said that the result of my scan does not warrant the amount of pain I am in. I have an appointment in oct to see a shoulder specialist hopefully he will help me.
Avatar n tn Thank you for your posts. I have thought about getting an mri of the brain but after getting a ct scan and a cervical MRI I am thining about getting the back issue resolved first. My pupils being different sizes did not start until this disc issue starting causing me pain do I have to believe it is related. I also believe the spasms and twitching in my legs are either caused the the nerve issues in my neck or by anxiety.
Avatar f tn I know your post was nearly 2 years ago. But I am researching Cervical Hemangiomas. I just got the results of a cervical MRI that I had done last Friday (7/9/10). The results were: a 3mm hemangioma on my C3 and C4. Also Osteophyte Complex, small disc bulge @ C4 and C5 and they confirmed I have cervical disc disease w/ pinching of the nerves @ C5 and C6. My concern is that the physician's asst who called me w/ the results told me that a hemangioma was a "bruise".
Avatar m tn Most beneficial is either a CT scan or a MRI scan. Your PCP will determine which scan will be the better diagnostic tool based on his clinical examination. It is also possible, as ChronicPain suggests that you actually injured the anatomy in your cervical spine. Again there are too many possibilities to "guess" which injury may have occurred when you pushed that vehicle. Please let us know how you are doing.
Avatar m tn 30 PM they cnducted the MRI. The following morning, he felt a little better however his speach was still slurred and he was complaining about sharp pins and needles in his right arm, right hand and his right foot. He had feeling in those extremities but had no control and he couldn't walk. :Ater that day, the neurologist came in after reading the MRI. The MRI showed no signs of a stroke and no damage to the brain.
Avatar n tn This yr they finally did an MRI that showed no tears or such. She has swelling of her arm, turns purples, get cool, throbs & piercing pains. It seems it has more to do with nerves from thpain she is having, but the swelling, coolness & purple color point a different way. We go to a Neuloogist next week & Orthopedic dr has called for a Venogram CT Scan.
Avatar m tn s clinical examination and investigations like MRI or CT Scan. In addition, these symptoms are presented with anxiety and panic disorder as well that has to be evaluated thoroughly with the doctor as well. Hope this helps.
4084741 tn?1350808485 What are "non-specific" black spots on brain from a MRI scan mean? I do have my MRI disc but unsure how to post it here if that wld help. I finally got diagnosed with migraines with aura last year after a MRI scan without contrast. The neurologist spent a few mins lookin at them before my visit and that's what he told me. He wasn't very communicative nor helpful. He did want to do more tests but I moved back home to Texas.
Avatar f tn Concerned with this unfamiliar sensation, I decided to go to see my GP about the symptoms. I was sent for a CT scan, ultra-sound scan and finally a MRI scan....the results were that I had a pinched nerve also with mild arithirits in the discs. MRI Cervical Spine says Torticollis to left. C5/C6 degeneration There is reversal of the normal cervical lordosis. Vertebral body height and intervertebral disc space height is maintained. There is loss of hydration in all of discs from C2/C3 to C6/C7.
