Avatar f tn Well, hot damn. That's about all I have to say. Well, maybe I'll say more. My MRI looks similar, but realize it's hard to tell bone differential on MRI. I'd wager my CT Scan will look quite the same. What the funk.
Avatar f tn I had an mri scan as my dr thinks i have ms, the photo's are on my profile and clearly show lots of white spots. However my dr said the scan was negitive, and was completely fine. Does anyone know what would cause the white spots on my mri, and how are the white spots from ms different?
5531927 tn?1445274919 Hello, I'm current waiting for a CT scan appointment as my MRI isn't until 7 months from now to rule out a suspected acoustic neuroma. I saw an ENT who confirmed high frequency hearing loss in my left ear. My symptoms have changed from just fullness in that ear to frequent headaches, very mild tinnitus, one pupil is bigger than the other, and I can hear my eyes move when the room is quiet. That last one doesn't appear to be a normal acoustic neuroma symptom.
567677 tn?1246767776 Is this diagnosis because no lesions have shown yet? My scan is not until June, which is on the same day I see the dr. But he reads the scan himself no radiologist. I think that is good. It will go straight to him no middle man. I am still confused about this diagnosis. Now there is probably no hope to get health insurance unless I can manage to go back to work. Bummer! Looks like this could be a long hard road. Let me know what you guys think about it.
Avatar n tn I had an mri done and it said that it was nonacute nonspecific microvascular changes with vasculitis and it also said there was a demylenating process. I don't remember the exact wording but I do remember those specific words in it. They are sending me to a neurologist but would not give a specific diagnosis. Can you please explain what vasculitis is and are there different demylenating diseases other than MS?
1415174 tn?1453243103 No the eye "UFO's"are a single bright little light, no flare that looks like a shooting star that either zigzags or shoots across the visual field. I get one about twice a day. I read that it may be normal and a floater. I hope so. As for the hyperreflexia, I assume you mean clonic? I looked that up and you have to have 5 or more bumps or ticks to have that and I have two which according to a neurology book and sites is normal.

Avatar n tn I had a brain mri scan for recurrent 'auras' thought to be due to migraine. The result of the scan came back normal except for a few spots of plaques. I am 50, is this normal? I am concerned that it is indicative of early degeneration associated with dementia.
Avatar n tn They can however, detect mental illness such as scitzophreneia which i know because i was diagnosed through an MRI. The only mental illness an MRI scan able detect is an actually different brain connections than that of a normal brain. Ive had one done for mental illess! Can you describe some of your symptoms, what you feel and how often yolou feel it? I know your question is based on needing to know where to get a private MRI scan, which i am unsure of!!

Avatar f tn I have recently had an MRI scan and the report has indicated that I have a L5/S1 circumferential disc bulge whih displaces the exiting L5 nerve roots bilaterally.. On the left this effaces the perineural fate and contacts the L5 nerve root. A neurosurgeon has apparently reviewed my scan and said there is no evidence of this disc bulge without even seeing me and suggested tertherd cord syndrome should be investigated..
Avatar f tn Hi, last year I had an MRI scan. I was having it as the Dr was looking to see if I had an AVM on the brain, I get a lot of headaches and have an AVM on my right forearm. When I went to see the Dr he told me my results, he said there is a malformation there but it isnt an AVM. He then pointed to the temporal lobes and said they are low. I should of asked him what that meant, but I never ask questions when Im there, I just say to myself I should of asked this and I should of asked that.
