763362 tn?1236624790 I have been referred to Physio and had an initial assesment where the consultant said that it looks like Degenerative Disc Disease, he said the only way to determine this better is by having an MRI scan, on going back to my G.P.
Avatar m tn ve had X-rays before, and while they do show a lot, I was so surprised when years after I had tore up my foot somehow and X-ray said I was fine, I had a scan done of that same area as part of a body scan, and do you know they found fractures in my feet!!! No wonder it hurt so much!!!

She started treating me, sending c... for all kinds of ct scans, mri ect .....they would come back neg one month and positive with some kind of cyst. Anyway, she encouraged me to have a laproroscopy. I came out of surgery 6 hrs later. I had to have a bowel recetion ]n, my intestiness were cut and recectioned. That was two years ago. I started having pain on my pck. area.
Avatar n tn Regarding that pressure like pain at the back of your head, how is your blood pressure? This can be a manifestation of hypertension. Pain in this area can also be due to stress (work, school, domestic problems, etc). I suggest you continue your accupuncture sessions, have your blood pressure monitored (3-4x weekly) and take a break from stressful activities. I hope you get rid of that annoying pain soon! Regards...

Avatar n tn The possibility of brain tumor seems very less although it can only be ruled out completely by a MRI or CT scan of brain. I suggest you get these done at the earliest.
Avatar n tn The result of the scan came back normal except for a few spots of plaques. I am 50, is this normal? I am concerned that it is indicative of early degeneration associated with dementia.
Avatar f tn I suggest you let your physicians know your concerns. The results of your scans will be able to define the most probable cause of the problem.
Avatar m tn The next day I was in total agony with pain radiating down my legs, and pain located in both the lower and middle of my back. I went to hospital and had an MRI scan which showed a degenerated L4-L5 disc and bulging disc at L5-S1 with no neural compromise. The pain continued and I was referred to an orthopaedic surgeon, with my appointment taking several months for me to be seen. In September I was sent for another MRI scan due to continued pain and weakness/numbness in both feet and toes.

900662 tn?1469390305 The techs have been very good at using pillows or cushions under my knees/legs during MRI scans to help relieve back stress. The scan time seemed different depending on where I had it done. I wonder if the newer machines can scan faster. I've had cervical and lumbar MRI but no thoracic MRI yet. Since the thoracic spine is the longest segment it would make sense that it would require more time to complete. Spinal MRI does use contrast if ordered, except for the lumbar region.
13766472 tn?1431393364 I have been having horrible headaches on the side of my head and bottom of the back of my skull. This is why the scan was done.
Avatar n tn Good luck. We can help many more people with these problems now than say 10 years ago.
Avatar n tn My husband was diagnosed with a 4x3cm cyst on the back of his brain when they were performing a MRI on his upper back. He has had a constant headache for 3 months, vomiting in the middle of the night, tingling in his arms and hands, upper back pain and lower back pain. He has a herniated disk in his L4, L5 and his pain has gotten progressively worse. He thought he had more herniated disks in the top of the back but there aren't any.
