mri-scan

Avatar n tn All test came back normal. Now my question is, should I be content with the results of the CT scan? My PCP is sending me to Neurologist to check things out.
Avatar m tn The next day I was in total agony with pain radiating down my legs, and pain located in both the lower and middle of my back. I went to hospital and had an MRI scan which showed a degenerated L4-L5 disc and bulging disc at L5-S1 with no neural compromise. The pain continued and I was referred to an orthopaedic surgeon, with my appointment taking several months for me to be seen. In September I was sent for another MRI scan due to continued pain and weakness/numbness in both feet and toes.

This is a never ending comedown. THROBBING in my head wont stop... I feel different... not the same. Avatar n tn The result of the scan came back normal except for a few spots of plaques. I am 50, is this normal? I am concerned that it is indicative of early degeneration associated with dementia.
Avatar f tn I figured it was because the test was for my ears and nerve endings. The second MRI was the first week of January, and the MRI center called me the next day to inform me that I needed to come back because the doctor reading the images would not issue a report without further images. I went back Friday. I asked the gentlemen who was assisting me where they were focusing this time.
Avatar f tn Degenerative spinal disorders are a group of conditions that involve a loss of normal structure and function in the spine. This is caused by a variety of issues such as aging, infection, tumors, muscle strains, or arthritis. Spinal stenosis, or narrowing of the spinal canal, is a condition potentially more serious than degenerative disc disease - the spine and nerves may be significantly compressed causing both back pain and pain that radiates to other parts of the body.
Avatar f tn Hi all. I recently had a back mri scan with the use of contrast dye as I had a discectomy November 2018 . I paid for the scan image on cd but haven’t had the results yet. Obviously I’m not medically trained so have no idea what the images look like however I wondered if anyone know what the few blobs are on a image that are next to the spine? As they came back as a white glow.
Avatar m tn Burning sensation and other radiating leg pain are normally due to an impingement of the sciatic nerve in the lower back, and would usually show up on an MRI scan. A disc prolapse being the most usual. But as the sciatic nerve is the longest in the body it can be impinged anywhere along it's length, the piriformis muscle area being an alternative to lower back impingement. Check it out on google.
601516 tn?1224884637 my pcp finally got an mri of the spine yesterday but did it without contrast. by the time i got home from the scan the office called and said it was normal. i was in tears. only the day before i was ready to go to the hospital because of the terrible pain in my back. i decided to wait for the scan to show the problem. i just knew it would. what on earth? now, i had a ct scan in january that found an ovarian cyst...that scan was done with contrast. i got the records out last night.
Avatar f tn I had a CT SCAN December 2012 and MRI March 2013 both came back normal. My neurologist diagnosed it as chronic tension headaches and were prescribe Topamax that I stopped taking about a year ago. I am very scared something is wrong because I am having nagging headaches starting at the back and working its way behind my eyes. I don't know if its anxiety/stress or if its really something wrong. Should I go get another Ct Scan or MRI? My doctor tells me Im ok its from anxiety and sleep apnea.
Avatar n tn I know your question is based on needing to know where to get a private MRI scan, which i am unsure of!! Maybe try finding some in your local directory? Best of luck!!!!
Avatar f tn The further course of management can be decided thereafter. Let your neurosurgeon examine you with your MRI scan report for best assurance. Take care.
Avatar n tn The possibility of brain tumor seems very less although it can only be ruled out completely by a MRI or CT scan of brain. I suggest you get these done at the earliest.
763362 tn?1236624790 I have been referred to Physio and had an initial assesment where the consultant said that it looks like Degenerative Disc Disease, he said the only way to determine this better is by having an MRI scan, on going back to my G.P.
Avatar f tn I am a 33 year old woman and have been having stomach pain for the past 6 months. I have been to the ER twice. My last visit was in June but this time my pain was also in my right side mid to lower back area. The pain radiates into my ribs and runs up the side of my spine. The ER doctor gave me pain meds and told me to have a MRI of the Thoracic Spine without contrast. I did this and my doctor informed me that the results were "ABNORMAL".
Avatar f tn the doc we saw had the mri results in front of him . it is a oestoma and the evidence of the old stroke present. and small lessions on brain . he said my doc would call and talk with me. well this am she did and she said there were cyst present and could i come in to discuss all the findings and how to proceed. i did not tell her her college told me the results because i didnt want to and at the same time i dont want to sound stupid when i ask the question are lesions and cyst the same ?
Avatar f tn I'm waiting for an MRI, I did get a CT scan back in November for my head and neck which came back normal. However I didn't have as much issues then as I do now, just the vertigo.
Avatar m tn ve had X-rays before, and while they do show a lot, I was so surprised when years after I had tore up my foot somehow and X-ray said I was fine, I had a scan done of that same area as part of a body scan, and do you know they found fractures in my feet!!! No wonder it hurt so much!!!
Avatar m tn There is a reversal of normal Lordosis. moderate narrowing of the CSF space around the cord and all levels 2-7 have moderate canal narrowing along with foramina narrowing. At 3-4 the canal Diameter is11-12mm w/small amount of CSF around the cord. At 4-5AP diameter of 9mm and mild flattening of the cord. At 5-6 canal is only 10 mm with only a trace of CSF anterior to the cord and none to the posterior. At 6-7thereis mild central narrowing of the canal and Diameter is 11 mm.
Avatar n tn Now I have query, I have consulted the doctors, after taking MRI scan they may doubt there could be Enjury in C5-C6 of a normal cervical spine. They suggested to take CT scan. and hinted me I may required to go for surgery. 1)Did this surgery will be very critical? 2)Some thing dangerous? 3) how many days it will take to cure?
Avatar f tn Hello. How likely is it if my MRI came back normal that something will be found in a CTA scan of my brain? It's been about 4 weeks of dealing with a headache that just won't go away fully. My primary care physician wasn't very helpful and just dismissed it, saying it was just my anxiety acting up. She finally referred me to a neurologist, but I couldn't get an appointment for another month and a half. I was going to go crazy if I had to wait that long.
Avatar n tn Examination revealed some tenderness over the lumber spine and right sacro-iliac joint with stiffness on flexing forward, SLR 60degrees bilaterally and normal power in both legs. MRI scan did not image SI joints. I am concerned at the chronicity of his symptoms despite normal bloods.' Adding to this, I've started to notice some mild 'numbness' around the scrotal area although it's not effecting normal functionality!
Avatar f tn My most recent MRI report said said my pituitary appears somewhat plump, but still probably within normal limits for a person of my age.
