Avatar n tn MRI DONE, MRI READING NORMAL. PAIN ONLY ON THE FOOT. BETWEEN START OF TOES AND ANKLE. PAIN WHEN I WALK, STEP DOWN AFTER SITTING OR LYING DOWN.
Avatar m tn I can lie on my left side as long as I have a pillow between my legs, and even then I need to move my legs every few seconds/minutes (depending on the severity of the pain). I have had CT scan of back, MRI of back, xrays of hip, knee, foot, ultrasound of groin.. all came back normal. This started when I was masturbating and felt a dull pain in my right groin.
Avatar m tn Ater that day, the neurologist came in after reading the MRI. The MRI showed no signs of a stroke and no damage to the brain. The nuerologist simply said he had symptoms of a stroke but the MRI didn't conclusively show anything. He simply said they would treat it as a stroke because he didn;t have any answers as to what was really going on. Lather that night, my dad stated that the pins and needles were getting worse in his hand and feet as well as up his right arm.
Avatar f tn Hi PLEASE HELP I have had a lump on the ball of my foot. My doctor has no idea what it is. It's sore.
Avatar n tn Not sure where you live - I am in the US and I haven't had any problems getting copies of tests, MRI scans etc. Whenever I have an MRI, I am given the disc right then to take to my neuro's office. My neuro is sent the written report of the MRI results. When I see my neuro for follow up, I bring the MRI disc. He looks at it then, and reviews it with me. I only get a copy of the radiologists report if I ask for it. Sorry you are feeling stressed out.
Avatar f tn Hi---I am a registered nurse and have recently been experiencing very sharp pain in my left foot....the top left side. I went to an orthopedist that specializes in feet and an mri was done and it showed nothing abnormal. This is the most painful condition that I have ever had. I am on my feet for twelve hour shifts and sometimes the pain keeps me awake at night. The next morning I wake up and my foot feels swollen and I have trouble walking.
Avatar n tn Hello, I have been reading the various emails submitted by folks with cuboid stess fracture and I certainly do appreciate the sharing of stories. I have been in pain of the left foot for about a month now, but do not remember when I "hurt" it. I finally went to the foot doctor today (7/8/09) and the doctor took Xrays and found nothing. But, he did locate the "pain" and said it may be a cuboid stress fracture.
Avatar f tn I went to a doctor and she told me my foot is fine. Since then my foot sometimes hurt. A year ago I hurt my foot again. Now everytime I exercise my foot turns blue (on the outer side) and it hurts alot on the outer side. I went for a X-ray , CT scan, MRI but all of them showed nothing. I have visited 2 diffrent Orthopedist and not one of them could figure out what was wrong.

Avatar f tn Not sure why you posted on the MS Forum, unless it was your mention of MRI. However, MS is a disease of the central nervous system, which is the brain and spinal cord. Some MSers do have foot problems, but due to demyelinated nerves, and not fractures or marrow edema. This is really not the place to ask, but I see that MedHelp does have an Orthopedic forum, so you might try there. Good luck.
Avatar f tn also right sided pain and burning sensations in foot and arm . this is ruining my life iv had a ct scan of brain and am scared to death of going to my mri scan next month ..can anybody help me ?
470162 tn?1285751713 Hello Sweetie! Thank you for sharing your story with us. A good medicine for burning pain would be Neurontin. I really hate to hear another say if you control the stress and anxiety your symptoms will disappear. We know our bodies best, there is another post here somewhere on how woman are more quickly dismissed with stress and anxiety by Dr's. It really angers me when Dr's are quick to dismiss it as such. I am sorry they are pulling that **** with you.
Avatar m tn MY PODIATRIST HAS ORDERED A CAT SCAN OF MY FOOT TO RULE OUT BONE INFECTION. I AM CONCERNED ABOUT REPORTS OF DELAYED CANCERS DUE TO EXCESSIVE RADIATION. CAN THE SAME DIAGNOSIS BE OBTAINED USING MRI? ARE THERE ANY RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH MRI? I HAVE HEARD REPORTS THAT CONTRAST SENSITIVITY DYE GADOLINIUM CAN CAUSE SERIOUS KIDNEY DAMAGE.
Avatar f tn It began as a sharp stabbing but has become a near constant ache over time. MRI and x-rays of my foot revealed nothing. NCV test also all appeared normal when checking for tarsal tunnel. It began affecting my low back/hip and legs about 6 months ago. I get sharp pains and some numbness around the area of my outer glutes/hamstrings. Spams in calf. Lateral outside foot pain is sometimes stabbing sometimes aching.
Avatar m tn hi, my husband aged 36 yrs, had mild numbness on his foot constantly for many days, he had an mri scan done, in that report some thing related to T2 flair images, but the doctor says that it is nowhere related to the numbness in foot, but it should be furthur examined by CT scan, i m just copying the data on the report, and doctor advised to take Neurontin - 300 mg tablets daily is it advisable to take this medicine, and plz let me know whether it is considered as serious disorder There is a sm
Avatar f tn Six months later I was diagnosed with fractures in both heels and have been in two casts, crutches and another walking boot. I am still in pain! I just had an MRI that shows Marrow Edema in four bones of my foot. What does this mean? I do not see the Dr. again for two weeks! I can't be on my feet for any length of time with suffering excruciating pain!

927832 tn?1244145547 The doctors just called it a bone scan, although it could have been an MRI of some sort. I don't know if its MS or not, it would seem like after a year and a half it would have progressed or I would have seen a variety of symptoms. The reason i even suspect that it could be be MS is this post: I've had MS for 22 years and over the last 5 my right knee has locked up and my right foot turns outward. I also have foot drop in the leg.
Avatar f tn Hello, can anyone come up with some suggestions of what is wrong with my foot, its baffling my rheumatologist and orthopaedic surgeon. Basically, I've had high levels of pain in my foot for several years, at least eight. I've reported this to GPs, gone to casualty but always told there was absolutely nothing wrong with it and to go away. The pain is on the top of my foot (not underneath) in the middle bone and running into my toe.
506621 tn?1214350225 When you go get your MRI next week, tell those radiology people that you want a copy of the report of that MRI sent to you and/or to your personal family physician. I think you should also endeavor to locate the report from the very first CT scan you had that showed specific disk bulging and also have it sent to you and/or your personal family physician.
Avatar f tn It could also be stress fractures of the bones of the foot. You will need MRI of the whole foot, X-rays of the foot, EMG and nerve conduction studies for a confirmed diagnosis. Take care! The medical advice given should not be considered a substitute for medical care provided by a doctor who can examine you. The advice may not be completely correct for you as the doctor cannot examine you and does not know your complete medical history.
