Hi, Thank you for your question. For persistent headaches, possibilities like migrainous, cluster, tension, pinched nerve in cervical spine and refractive errors that need to be evaluated thoroughly with the help of a neurologist here. Migraine like headache can be throbbing, one sided of face & head and preceded by aura (starts with blurred vision). Cluster headache may appear as burning, explosive in nature and tear appears from eyes.
ve had on again, off again tingling in the right side of my face and and in both hands and feet (though more prominent in right side). I had an MRI with contrast of my head about 2 months ago and my Neurologist said it was clean.
I also have considerable fatigue, brain fog and some cognitive issues. All of this kicked off about 6 month ago after a severe case of strep throat. I've been looking into post viral fatigue and Lyme, but I want to feel confident about the negative MS diagnosis.

Where to start, approx 4 years ago i was sitting at my friends home when suddenly I experienced what I can only describe as the most horrific pain in the right side of my face, from the side of my nose across my check bone and radiating through my ear, it lasted approx 4/5 seconds, it felt like a burning electric shock, (I was frozen with the impact and sheer force that this pain hit my face, I would of certainly fallen to my knees If I were not already sitting at this time!
W/a/J is right about contrast. I just meant, get whatever type of scan the doctor orders. But yeah, if they're looking for a cause of dizziness or hearing loss with an MRI, contrast IS needed.
December 26th I have gone for MRI Scan about my spine problem, before me one women took MRI Scan test for brain and later I took the test however I have noticed some blood in my middle finger, I don’t know where it was came to and I have noticed small pimple in my face with blood.
Just now I came to know that she was infected with HIV positive. I don’t know whether she is bleeding blood or not.
How was the CT scan? Do you still have headaches and numbness in your face? Headache is a common result of head injury and it might persist for months or years following even mild head trauma. However, the frequency and severity of the headache usually diminishes with the passage of time. If it has been 17 years, the cause may be attributed to other issues that need to be evaluated further. Take care and hope to hear from you soon. Best regards.
I woke up this morning and noticed immediately that it felt like I had on a pair of tight sunglasses on the left side of my face. This is the best way that I can explain the way that the numbness feels. My left ear is completely numbness as well as all along behind it. I can also tell that my left side of my face is numb but it isn't as bad as from my ear back. Has anyone ever had this just happen out of the blue? Can you tell me what it might be?
I went for an MRI of brain it showed a posible kink in blood vessel then they had me come back and did a coranary artery brain scan of neck and head. It showed nothing wrong no kinks no nothing. Are MRi's acurate? I have had this weird sensation on left side of head for 2.5 months. it's so annoying. iT's like a pressure feeling. Seems like it stemming from base of skull on left side. My jaws are tight too plus I get a twinge of pain in left side of tempe mostly when bending down.
They performed a CT scan on her and some blood tests, all of which turned out to be normal. Today she had other blood test done (EBvirus, Herpes Zoster) but the results are not in yet. The only thing that is a little "abnormal" for her, is that her hemoglobin was over 15. She also has Rheumatoid Arthritis.
Does anyone know of a condition, or a treatment for symptoms like these ones? Thank you!
I was punched on the left side of my face about 3 wks ago while trying to apprehend an offender. It's still very tender and numb under the eye, on the cheek, the left side of my nose, upper lip and upper gum on the left. I went straight to the hospital from the incident and was given a cold-pack because my eye was really red and swollen. The dr's prognosis was "facial contusion" & I was given ibuprofen & that's it.
I am not having any other symptoms than my left temple/eye/cheek has sensitive/tender skin, my eye hurts when I close it and I sometimes get a dull/aching pain from the back of the left side of my head all the way to the point of my left cheek bone. I do feel a little disoriented at times, I kept waking up the night before last not really realizing what was going on and feeling like something was weird in the room... but nothing was different other than my closet door being left open.

This began in November whilst at work, stressful morning sudden left arm pain high blood pressure, I thought heart attack ECG normal, hospital thought stroke pain in leg and arm side of face fluctuating sensations memory problems. CT scan Heart scan Mri scan head normal. Off about five months simptoms seemed to improve although still weakness left side loss of feeling in parts of body.
After a head injury in 99, I had pins and needles on my face and headaches, still have the headaches and face pain now. I was told it is migraine. However, I had a brain MRI and discovered I'd had a stroke and an MRA confirmed where an artery was dissected. I did not get the proper treatment at the ER, and I think it was because of my age and no obvious outside trauma.
I first saw an ENT that was convinced that I had Menieres disease.

At 3-4 the canal Diameter is11-12mm w/small amount of CSF around the cord. At 4-5AP diameter of 9mm and mild flattening of the cord. At 5-6 canal is only 10 mm with only a trace of CSF anterior to the cord and none to the posterior. At 6-7thereis mild central narrowing of the canal and Diameter is 11 mm. I get a crunchy type sound when I move my head/neck in any direction. I was having unbearable headaches until prescribed2.5mg Valium twice daily.
