Mri scan nursing responsibilities

Common Questions and Answers about Mri scan nursing responsibilities

mri-scan

Avatar f tn It sounds like they suspect inflammationn in the lung. You should request an MRI rather than a cat. The MRI is far less dangerous and shows up everything you might want to see. The CAT, which uses x-ray radiation, is an obsolete machine. The "snow storm" could be mucus or fluid, or remnants of an infection. Pain and shortness of breath are consistent with such a problem.
Avatar n tn I've had strange sensations for the past two months. I have an MRI scheduled for next week, although my GP said she didn't expect much to come of it. I am still feeling very anxious about the possibility of MS. I am a 38 yo woman. About two months ago, I had a horrible virus/sinus infection/bronchitis. Right around that same time, I noticed a slight tingling on the right side of my face. My GP said it was related to the sinus infection and that antibiotics should take cake of it.
Avatar f tn I had initially fractured my ankle and developed Avascular Necrosis in talar area of ankle. My surgeon has conducted several x-rays and I have had MRI, CT scan, and bone scan. Conclusion - pain related to hardware. He refuses to remove the 2 screws however. It has been confirmed by diagnostics that fusion is 100 percent complete too. I have gone to 2 other surgeons; one refuses to go behind another surgeon; the other is disinterested it seems to help me too.
Avatar n tn I had a brain mri scan for recurrent 'auras' thought to be due to migraine. The result of the scan came back normal except for a few spots of plaques. I am 50, is this normal? I am concerned that it is indicative of early degeneration associated with dementia.
Avatar n tn They can however, detect mental illness such as scitzophreneia which i know because i was diagnosed through an MRI. The only mental illness an MRI scan able detect is an actually different brain connections than that of a normal brain. Ive had one done for mental illess! Can you describe some of your symptoms, what you feel and how often yolou feel it? I know your question is based on needing to know where to get a private MRI scan, which i am unsure of!!

Avatar f tn Is it necessary to have more than one MRI scan done. I have only ever had the one scan, 15 yrs ago which was when I was given my official dx, despite having several episodes/relapses since. Initially told I had RRMS now being told I have SPMS with relapses.
763362 tn?1236624790 I have been referred to Physio and had an initial assesment where the consultant said that it looks like Degenerative Disc Disease, he said the only way to determine this better is by having an MRI scan, on going back to my G.P.

Avatar f tn I have recently had an MRI scan and the report has indicated that I have a L5/S1 circumferential disc bulge whih displaces the exiting L5 nerve roots bilaterally.. On the left this effaces the perineural fate and contacts the L5 nerve root. A neurosurgeon has apparently reviewed my scan and said there is no evidence of this disc bulge without even seeing me and suggested tertherd cord syndrome should be investigated..
Avatar f tn Hi, last year I had an MRI scan. I was having it as the Dr was looking to see if I had an AVM on the brain, I get a lot of headaches and have an AVM on my right forearm. When I went to see the Dr he told me my results, he said there is a malformation there but it isnt an AVM. He then pointed to the temporal lobes and said they are low. I should of asked him what that meant, but I never ask questions when Im there, I just say to myself I should of asked this and I should of asked that.
Avatar f tn i had an mri scan and was told i had a right A1 segment hypoplastic. what does this mean please?
Avatar m tn will an mri scan make my blocked eustation tubes worse ?
Avatar m tn My problem is the MRI and CT scan did not show anything, no lesions, nothing. Now I have to wait for GP to come back from vacation, in about a month. Then what? To past other tests. I have also back problems at L4-L5 and S1 regions. Fractured a Vertabra, I think is D6, during a seizure. Now those regions are really painfull at times, especially before my numbness in my right leg and arm starts its thing. It's just that I am tired and have no answers to what's going on with my body.
Avatar f tn There are other tests you could and should have....and related conditions that should be ruled out....a CINE MRI to check CSF flow...a MRI of the complete spine...cervical ,thoracic, and lumbar in addition to a brain MRI. Then rule out Syringomyelia, ICP (which you had done) POTS, tethered cord, and Ehlers-Danlos. Sleep apnea..... As for the "normal" tests....get copies of ALL the reports...some Drs do not know what to look for with this condition....
