Avatar n tn Hello. Have they mentioned the region where the cyst is formed? These changes on the MRI suggest injury during or around the time of birth. By 'injury', I mean lack of blood supply. It could depend upon the cause of the premature birth. Can you mention here why she was born premature?
Avatar m tn I had a bad auto accident in Nov and after x-rays and CTon my neck A MRI was recomended. My family doc put me off work and told me not to put myself in any position to slip and fall ao hit in the head. The MRI results show the following. APdiameter of the canal at 2-3 is only 11mm. There is a reversal of normal Lordosis. moderate narrowing of the CSF space around the cord and all levels 2-7 have moderate canal narrowing along with foramina narrowing.
Avatar m tn You need to go for an X-ray and Scan and if required MRI to diagnose your neck problem. The pain might also be due to some other problem, Eg infection, Tuberculosis etc. A visit to an orthopaedician will help in diagnosing if you have any problem with the neck muscles. We advise you to follow up with a Physician for proper diagnosis. Take care!
Avatar m tn i would definitely get your head checked. if the CT scan does not show anything, and you still feel strange, request an MRI. sometimes CT scans don't show what the MRI does. this was the case for my brain injury. the CT scan showed nothing, but the MRI i had later showed a clear injury to the brain. take care!

Ever since, I've had migraines, severe neck pain, bad vision, and the last year has developed into extreme back pain, upper and lower, my hip feels like it will fall out of its socket and has been hurting so badly that I cant lie on my right side anymore and my shoulder on right side also severely painful.

Avatar n tn The neck pain subsided over about ten days but now I am suffering from some other sensations which I still feel are directly related to the neck injury as I have not felt normal since it occurred- I have numbness in my left hand as well as some weakness of the arm, occaisionally I have numbness in my left foot, my lip has also gone numb on occaision, and the most prominent feature is that my vision is spotty with the sensation that I have just hyperventilated (i.e. lack of oxygen sensation).

Avatar f tn Look these up look at the symptoms maybe even at the diagrams of what it looks like, then mention them to your Dr. he will probably do a brain and neck scan to see if this is the issue. I hope ive helped if you need anything please feel free to ask!
Avatar n tn s something you should begin worrying about--but you may have needed more than a neck brace following your accident. If you suffered any kind of neck injury or trauma to the head, your head should be looked at immediately, and usually having an MRI with contrast is the way to go. Keep us posted and please get this taken care of as soon as possible!
Avatar f tn Headaches after a brain injury can also be due to concussion, and normally CT and MRI are normal. However, yes, MRI should be done to rule out brain injury as the cause. Stress due to concussion and brain injury can also be the cause. Also get your blood pressure checked. Take care!

Avatar f tn My wife entered the hospital on March 23, 2009 after an accidental fall down the stairs on March 22, 2009. She was in pain and I called the nurses hotline and they told me to call an ambulance as she was complaining about head, neck and back pain. When we got to the hospital she waited for several hours. Eventually she had an x-ray and the initial doctor said there were no broken bones and released her from the hospital with some narcotics for pain.
Avatar f tn Let me clarify why VA won't help me with the brain lesion. I have an unrelated service-connected neck injury and they can only treat the service-connected problems.
Avatar n tn i HAVE A BULDGING DISC IN MY NECK AND THE MRI SHOWED WHITE SPOTS ON MY SHOULDER IN DIFFERENT PLACES. wHAT ARE THESE?
471949 tn?1236904026 Get a c-spine MRI. I was in a car accident 15 years ago, walked around w/pain and got therapy, etc... and finally found out that I had a broken neck! I got a fusion from C2-C6. It is important to look further if you are still having pain, because it can mean the difference between a good result and not. Keep me posted.
Avatar f tn Could his body have been protecting the injury by making his neck stiff and could he possibly be in danger now since he has had that shot of lidocaine to free up his neck? We are flying across the country in 2 days for a funeral, should I have any concerns about the flight?
Avatar n tn Hello, Pain in the neck can be related to the traumatic brain injury. Moreover, the MRI is confirming the diagnosis. Skull fractures, especially at the base of the skull, can cause cranial nerve injuries that result in compressive cranial neuropathies. Try taking over the counter pain killers like brufen, Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs, muscle relaxants etc. Further therapy includes injection therapy for treatment of neck pain and physical therapy.
Avatar m tn I had head bump on road wile playing 3 moths ago. i had CT/MRI scan and both are negative. from past 2 weeks I am not getting sleep in the nights . feels me very depress and stress and anxiety. i went to see doctor and gave me sleeping pills and didnot not help. then went to emergency and they gave another sleeping pill which works first day ( might be i did not sleep before 10 days). from next day again same issue not getting sleep even taking sleeping pills.
Avatar m tn These symptoms are suggestive of a cervical disc degeneration or prolapsed, cervical spondylolisthesis, or old trauma to the neck. You need a neurologist to examine you in detail and a cervical MRI SCAN to confirm or rule out these conditions. If confirmed, diagnosis would include pain killers, physiotherapy, epidural steroid injections under fluoroscopy. Decompressive surgery is the last resort. Hope this helps. Take care.
Avatar f tn I decided to have a CT scan of my chest done, which showed thickening of the brachio cervical artery. An MRI showed thickening of my carotid artery "consistent with Fibromuscular Dysplasia" and several lesions in the frontal part of my brain consistent with small vessel disease. I felt okay before this accident - no circulation or memory problems. Can there be a connection or am I just unlucky that my body seems to be falling to bits all at the same time....?
Avatar f tn The Doctors don,t seem to want to send me for a MRI scan, but keep increasing my tablets without any real examination,eg. blood pressure checks etc.I am due to see the Neurologist again in a few weeks but I am finding it hard to cope with the pain,I am aloud to take Ibuprofen with the Pregabalin tablets prescribed. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!
