Wow I wish I would have known this about the type of MRI machine.. I was put in a Mobile MRI they had due to someone else already being in the larger machine.. I have no idea what type it was but Im guessing now Im gonna need to have them redone..Its kinda sad.. I had 3 in one day...All on the mobile and all of my results were clean...yet they were highly suspicious of MS. Im very curious to find out now what that machine is capable of.

An angiography will be more diagnostic than than a MRI for a blood vessel clot. Also clots can be mobile—ie they may move from one place to another. This mobile clot is very dangerous as it can lodge in lung, brain, and heart. Yes, so all this can be connected.

m just curious what your thoughts are with these white spots on my brain MRI. I had the scan done at 9am and a NS appt at 10, which the Radiologist had already read my scans, the doctor only looked at them to see my cerebellum and post-surgery area, not MS... so I'm just looking for some insight..

It began as a sharp stabbing but has become a near constant ache over time. MRI and x-rays of my foot revealed nothing. NCV test also all appeared normal when checking for tarsal tunnel. It began affecting my low back/hip and legs about 6 months ago. I get sharp pains and some numbness around the area of my outer glutes/hamstrings. Spams in calf. Yes I hope we are going to have the answer soon. It took only a few days for my results to come. But we have a mobile MRI unit and it's not read at our hospital. So I guess it depend if it goes back soon to it's base hospital before it's well look in. I expect it to take anywhere for a week to a month before we have results!

I think this is normal, meaning you want it to be mobile. 6 wk size means it was looke to be the size of a 6 wk pregnancy. It may be that you have a larger uterus than normal, not that you were pregnant.

The only mental illness an MRI scan able detect is an actually different brain connections than that of a normal brain. Ive had one done for mental illess! my wife had a mri scan on her neck the result came back as follows mri on the C- spine showd minor degenerative changes with a normal spinal cord there disc lesion at C6/C7 which corrugates the postrior longitudinal ligament by the spinal cord .

Is it necessary to have more than one MRI scan done. I have only ever had the one scan, 15 yrs ago which was when I was given my official dx, despite having several episodes/relapses since. Initially told I had RRMS now being told I have SPMS with relapses.

I have recently had an MRI scan and the report has indicated that I have a L5/S1 circumferential disc bulge whih displaces the exiting L5 nerve roots bilaterally.. On the left this effaces the perineural fate and contacts the L5 nerve root. A neurosurgeon has apparently reviewed my scan and said there is no evidence of this disc bulge without even seeing me and suggested tertherd cord syndrome should be investigated..
