The largest of the "spots" was about 2cm and the others were smaller. Our familty doctor mentioned that due to the location of the "spots", they are not typically located in the areas that my wife has them, and of course didn't seem to alarmed of what had been found.

Avatar m tn Is Copaxone available in India? If so, I wonder how much the Copaxone would cost and how much you can you buy at one time and transfer it with you on a plane? You are right--health care costs are very, very expensive. I spend about $10,000/year on health care (which includes the insurance, medicines, doctor costs, etc.). Great thread!
Avatar m tn I'm sure the cost varies from one area to another, but we would have no way of knowing what the cost of this or any other medication would be for people in different locations. You would need to check the price with whoever would be dispensing that medication to you (pharmacist? clinic? doctor). Best wishes...

1218873 tn?1300091216 Over here in the UK, we generally don't know what the cost of tests and drugs are, as they are covered by the NHS. But over the past 12 months I have started to learn a bit of what thing cost, and it appears that even if you go private they are considerabley cheaper than in the US which to me dosen't seem quite right.
Avatar m tn Do you think a disease of the cornea could cause the temporary blindness symptoms? My friend had the X-ray and has just been told that he has a minor brain tumour. I just don't see how this would explain the eyes watering and burning symptoms (could be unrelated i guess) and why it would cause the blindness just some of the time (mainly in the mornings).

Avatar m tn I had an MRI of the brain back in May, to investigate various cognitive / neurological problems I've been experiencing since the start of 2009 (mild confusion, memory problems, muscle twitching, etc). Avatar n tn I got one implanted in Delhi at Escorts Hospital in 2008. A single lead ICD, Implantable Cardioverter-Defibrillator capable of pacing and defibrillator (I am not sure if a pacemaker has only one function i.e. pacing) cost me approx Rs 450000 (USD 10000) including surgery. More complicated ones could cost double. In India you can negotiate the cost with representatives of different ICD brands and get a good deal. There are many models of ICDs with different battery life.

Avatar m tn I agree with John, shoot for an MRI of the brain, even if the doctor tries to foist a CT scan on you.
