mri-scan

Avatar m tn I had a MRI from the hospital and got a CD, which has a viewer and images. Dr. showed me the pancreatic tumors (about 15 cysts) on the computer screen. I tried it on my computer, but I could not see very clearly, I have two computer with the display resolution of 1440x900 and 1920x1080. Higher resolution showed better images, but still less quality than what I saw in the Dr's office. To see the better images, what do I need ? Better viewer software or better resolution display ?
Avatar f tn Hi all. I recently had a back mri scan with the use of contrast dye as I had a discectomy November 2018 . I paid for the scan image on cd but haven’t had the results yet. Obviously I’m not medically trained so have no idea what the images look like however I wondered if anyone know what the few blobs are on a image that are next to the spine? As they came back as a white glow.
89592 tn?1391274422 i think that you need a good MRI or CT scan as there is a lot of operator-dependency with ultrasonography
Avatar m tn The PA examined her and recommended a CT scan (she vomited once after the fall that was his reason for the CT scan) The CT scan came back with some questions (some white areas that the PA was unsure about) He recommended we see a neurologist look at the CT scan (neurologist not on site during visit to ER) We went the the Neurologist the next day and he review the scan from a CD disk we had been given at ER.
Avatar n tn You should be able to go to medical records and get a copy of the MRI (on CD) as well as a copy of the report after about 48 hours. Most labs in some states let you get copies too if you fill out a form. Just a thought.
Avatar m tn The expert report is in greek language where as CD containing scan is in english.
470162 tn?1285751713 If you want to upload your MRI pictures you have to have them on CD. I guess it all depends on where you had your MRI done at, on whether you have it on CD or film. Most places are trying to go to CD so if yours is on film you won't be able to do this. Typically MRI machines are 1.5T STRENGTH. Open MRI range from 0.5T to 0.7T STRENGTH. I'm not sure if it would be on your films or not. I would asked next time or I went to a website that told what strength it was.
Avatar f tn ) A magnetic resonance angiogram (MRA) is a type of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan that uses a magnetic field and pulses of radio wave energy to provide pictures of blood vessels inside the body. The radiologist may talk to you about the results of your MRA right after the test. Complete results are usually available for your doctor in 1 to 2 days. Magnetic resonance angiogram (MRA) Normal: The blood vessels look normal and the blood flow through them is not reduced or stopped.
667611 tn?1226005294 Yup, that's with and without contrast. I have the worst luck adding on MRIs to my scheduled MRI. I had a cervical MRI and thought - heck, I'll be there - just scan my head again. No go. The neuro thought it was 'too early' as I'd had an MRI six months prior. However, that's just my neuro. Feel free to ask yours and see if he'll throw another one in there.
Avatar n tn It's possible I may have sensorimotor polyneuropathy. I'm due to have an MRI scan in two weeks time, and am currently on 400mg of meds three times a day. I've heard that this kind of SP may be associated with diabetes, and wondered if it's inevitable I may be tested. My neurologist hasn't suggested it so far. Thanks for any help offered.
Avatar f tn Any way to tell? I have a cd with the MRI pictures on it at home. The CT scan was high resolution because they were looking for a problem with my superior semicircular canal, but that scan indicated the superior semicircular canal seems to be just fine.
907968 tn?1292622204 f I asked this question here or on a completely different site. I do remember that nobody knew the answer... I had a CT scan of the area between the brain and the inner ear. The Dr. showed me the results on his computer and showed me the problem I have. I'd like to get a copy of all this but don't know what application would be needed to view the scanns. Any idea's? Suggestions, Comments?
Avatar f tn Hi there, I'm just wondering did you ask for a copy of the CD from the MRI...as well as copies of the Radiologist report...you should do that if you haven't .. ask where you got it done for copies...OK... and let us know what they say...I'm curious as to what the Radiologist said about your brain MRI. keep track of all your symptoms and keep a timeline, incase you need to see the Neuro again, you can bring it with you.. call the Neuro if you have anything up .. OK..
1297805 tn?1276045905 Hi heather, It is hard not to read things into the tech's mannerisms, but everyone else is right - you can't know what it means. I've had a number of mri's now, and each time the tech has behaved differently. I've had chatty ones. I've had ones who see my mri and go silent. I can't tell you if any were pacing because I was in the mri and couldn't possibly see what the tech was doing. I've never had the benefit of overhead mirrors.
Avatar m tn i have the cd from the mri findings, because i am in the us.army, i move a lot, and im changing doctors. I am currently on several different kinds of medication including two for my seizures. My previous doctor just told me to wait and get a CT scan done in 3 months to see if its still there, should i try and get a different opinion?? thank you very much, and if it could be those things you mentioned , are those really bad? Thanks!!
Avatar f tn However, my X-Ray shows partical disease and loosening. I have spoken to a radioligist, and he said it would show up normal on a MRI or Cat Scan b/c there will be black showing up and it will not be detected on those images. He advised that only an Xray would show the true definition of my pain and problems. Is this correct?
Avatar f tn I have an early scan on the 3rd. any1 have a scan at 5 weeks 6 days and what did u see?
Avatar m tn two neurosurgeons and radiologist have looked all confused, just have to wait for next scan now, they said the first scan only finds the mass, the next will determine if its growing
1312898 tn?1314568133 My neuro looked at the images with me the same day I had the MRI done. I also requested a CD copy of the MRI, which the lab burned for me before I left. I can't imagine anyone moved enough where no images were able to be read. Did you get a copy of the radiologists report? Contact the lab that did the MRI and request that, see what it says.
Avatar f tn All hospitals that conduct MRI Scans have a radiologist do a report, this is a Dr who specializes in looking at your MRI scans and they have had extra training in this sort of thing. I just had a scan done (not MRI) but CT and I had to take my CD to my next appointment as my Urologist wanted to view the CD himself but he would still have the report and my neuro always looks at my pics as well. It would have to be reported on!! So try and get the report.
867582 tn?1311627397 So I need to find another radiologist (maybe one on the Internet who could just read views that I could send via the MRI CD) to give another opinion on my new MRI films - so I can walk into my neurologist's office with a radiology report that more accurately assesses what is present on the film.
738075 tn?1330575844 I had Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and yesterday, and he points me into his exam room and does a brief exam (my feet nearly kicked the mallet out of his hand), and orders another MRI of my T-Spine before I go on vacation. I'm wondering if that's going to show anything, since the last one didn't (12/08), and the symptom only started Sunday. Me and my big mouth!
Avatar m tn I would like to know if a pancoast tumor would show up on a cervicle spine mri? As you may have read in past post, that is my greatest fear. I had a clean ct scan in feb and started having "symptoms" in May. I was just wondering if I can absolutely eliminate that from my thought process, with a clean cervicle mri. I understand that nothing is absolute, but is it enough to put my mind at ease? Or should I fight for more test? I have a copy of the film on cd.
Avatar f tn just received my radiologists report a few days ago i am curious in his report he ruled some things out but did not mention any lesions only put as his impression mri evidence of multiple sclerosis
487889 tn?1232887189 I went to hospital records and got a copy of the written MRI report, but didn't actually see the 'film', and I'm not sure if my nuero. looked over them or just read the typed report?? How do I get a copy of the actual MRI disc?? And do most nuero's look at the disc themselves, or just go by the typed report?
