Avatar n tn Hypertension and hypotension need to be checked. An MRI brain is warranted to rule out any intracranial lesion particularly aneurysm and MRI spine for ruling out cervical spondylosis and degenerative disc disease. Temporal tendinitis mimics migraines including TMJ pain temporal headaches, tooth sensitivity, neck and shoulder pain. Treatment includes injecting local anesthetics and other medicines, moist heat muscle relaxants and NSAIDs along with physiotherapy.
Avatar f tn I have had mri & ct scan with dye and nothing is wrong, I am still experiencing a weird sensation in my head its a on and off presure. Its on the right side of my head it will come and go anytime of the day it feels like i dont have enough oxygen going to my brain, its like someone is pushing on that spot of my brain. I dont know what is going on I do have pressure in my nose on and off. If anyone has any ideas it would help so i can suggest something to my doctor.
Avatar f tn Of these the brain related causes may have been ruled out by MRI/CT scan etc. Please discuss with doctor regarding other causes. Hope this helps. Take care! Avatar m tn s but they said no when she was admitted to the hospital in Jan and did every test in the book and could not find anything at all! She did have a neurology consult and they did MRI, MRA, doppler on Carotids, Echo, EKG, CT, you name it they did it!! The symptoms seem to go away for a few months and have now returned with a vengence! She fell a week ago and now they are more pronounced. Her family doctor has ordered a follow up ct for the fall and referred her to a neurologist. ANy ideas?

3109057 tn?1341701952 Hi, I'm a 31 year old mom of three little ones and I've been having some symptoms consistent with MS. For at least the last four weeks I've had tingling and numbness in my toes and feet, especially when I'm working out hard, and I've been feeling dizzy, foggy, off balance, and very tired. I chalked most of that up to being a mom until I saw my doctor on Monday about the tingling and numbness in my feet. She thought I might have a slipped disk and ordered an x-ray.
Avatar f tn Did a cardio cath and found nothing. Primary sent me to a Neurology Dr who read CT scan wanted to do a MRI. MRI showed 1 cm meningioma in the left frontal lobe without significant mass effect or associated edema. Ventricular size remains normal linits. Also scattered T2 hyperintensities within the periventricular deep white matter of both hemispheres. this is a nonspecific finding, can be seen as sequelea of chronic miscrovascular insult, hypertension, diabetes.
1474329 tn?1287007837 m going to pass out and die, a heat sensation that accompanies this pressure in my head, pain going down the back of my head, down my neck, and all the way down the center of my back. Abnormal head CT, supposidly normal MRI (getting a second opinion), abnormal EMG but normal EEG. Normal and abnormal blood work.
Avatar n tn When the ER did a scan the ENT saw something and wanted a dedicated scan of my sinuses and well that brings me to the MRI of my brain. SO... (sorry of the long but brief start) It states that I have a nonenhancing pineal gland lesion measuring 4 mm demonstrates low signal on T1 high signal on T2 weighted images remains stable.
Avatar m tn Consult a neurologist for a detailed clinical examination, audiogram, auditory brain stem response and CT/MRI as deemed relevant by the otolaryngologist. Therapy would be guided by the diagnosis. Take care.
Avatar f tn ll be fine. But honestly the only way to know for sure is to scan (preferably mri if you are under 65). The chance it's a brain tumour is low, but only a scan can say for sure.
Avatar f tn Venous contamination may mean a point of weakness or give way and needs immediate attention. MRI brain presents normal myelin as hypointense to gray matter on T2 weighted images and hyperintense on T1 weighted images. Diseases which reduce the myelin content like demyelinating diseases, the white matter takes up more water which delays T1 and T2 relaxation times, hence more signal on T2weighted and less on T1 weighted images.
Avatar f tn I had an MRI , and there is an increase of white matter located in the brain. Could you let me know what causes, and a cure if needed.
Avatar n tn Hello I'm a 29yo female with many problems. Just had an MRI of brain and neorologist wont get back with me on the results. Heres a break down of what they read.... moderate amount of white matter signal abnormalty. Bilateral subcortical and deep areas signal abnormaity, these areas demonstrate increased T2 and Flair pulse sequence. ......Cerebellar tonsils lie at the level of the foramen magnum. its been almost 2 weeks and doc still hasnt called to explain..
Avatar f tn my husband has had fibromyalgia for 29 years, in the last 3 months he has bad headaches on the top of his headache. They never go away. We have had mri, scan etc. was hoping someone knew if fibro causes headaches.
Avatar n tn A complete neurological examination and imaging studies such as MRI or CT scan may also be indicated. Take care and do keep us posted.
Avatar m tn Dear doctors, I am studying neurology and I have recently come across of an online pictures of a person’s brain scan. A few of my colleagues and I have been debating on these scan results but have conflicting opinions in determining what we think is wrong with this particular brain? From examination of these pictures, we would very much appreciate your opinion and comments on the diagnosis and probable health of this individual. Avatar f tn Can you please explain my MRI of the brain done with and without contrast please: On T2 weighted and FLAIR sequences, there are multiple subcentimeter round ovoid foci of high signal in the right frontal lobe periventricular white matter, in addition to several subcentimeter lesions in the periventricular and subcortical white matter in the left frontal lobe and the subcortical white matter in the posterior right frontal lobe.
Avatar n tn The preferred scan is neither an x-ray, MRI not a CT, but a dye-contrast MRA. In addition an MRI should be performed to rule out hairline fracture of the cervical vertebrae. You need to go to an emergency room immediately. That means now. You have two medical problems. The first was the initial cause of the fainting. The second is to rule out the possibility of a subdural hematoma secondary to the fall.
Avatar f tn HI...did u have an MRI?...an xray will only show changes to the bone...u need to see what happened to the soft tissues in that area. An injury/trauma like this can cause a slow developing issue called syringomyelia...do talk to ur dr about doing an MRI to rule these issues out for u and to get to the bottom of ur problem.
