Avatar f tn Of course it is. Low impact exercise is recommended throughout your pregnancy. Just don't try to push yourself to go further than you can realistically go. Your body won't try to expell your baby.
Avatar n tn I have had a small glass twice during my pregnancy. The dr had no problem with it as long as is wasnt much and wasnt on a regular basis. They said it can also be good for you but not if you reach a point where you are affected in any way.
Avatar f tn Im 5 weeks pregnant. . Is it safe to have sex with my husband? we had sex a week after ovulation (when we had sex to conceive) and there was spotting so we didn't since...

Avatar n tn You can sleep on right side as well . You can try doing it now though to get used to it . Later on in pregnancy if you wake up on your back just roll over baby is ok . He or she will most likely make you uncomfortable before anything bad happens your body will signal a response to you most likely . 335728 tn?1331414412 I asked the nurse at the MS Society about lesion counting and how that effects whether a patient receives DMD's or not. The answer I got was "The lesions that are on your MRI have obviously not changed or your disease would have been deemed as active.
Avatar n tn I have had increasing problems with lower back and hip pain. My Orthopaedic surgeon has ordered and MRI of my lumbar spine and hips which he wrote a precription for me to do in my home town, as his clinic is about 2 hours away. He has specified that nothing higher than a Tessla 1.5 MRI be used. I have contacted the 2 most well known Diagnostic/ Imaging places here in my home town.
Avatar f tn Not trying to be rude, your gf cannot get pregnant that way. You would have to actually penetrate with your penis. And for safety measures, wear condoms. even if she is just giving you a hand job or a **. You need to be safe from diseases.
Avatar m tn Some people have raised questions about the safety of exposure to strong magnetic fields, too, unrelated to radiation such as we experience with x-rays & the like. However, from all I've read, the overwhelming consensus is that MRIs are perfectly safe -- until you get the bill, at least.
Avatar f tn however in general, all things being equal, an MRI is preferred as having less risk. The MRI machines are rated in Tesla units a "T3" machine can do anything a CT scan can do. All x-ray radiation is dangerous, however this is a risk-benefit situation. There is no doubt that the CT scan saves many lives.
Avatar f tn A metal object subjected to an MRI will cause the hairclip to heat up. There should be no internal damage. Any injury would be the same as if a hot metal object were to be placed adjacent to your scalp. In addition the MRI will not provide a clear image. They should not charge you for another. It won't get worse. Internal damage comes from metal implants or shrapnel. The fault lies in the operator, whose failure to insure you had no metal anywhere is inexcuseable.
3093770 tn?1389739126 For us pre-transplant patients they measure our creatinine before each MRI to make sure our kidneys are functioning well enough before we receive an MRI with Gadolinium. For us with liver cancer it is critical that out cancer is monitored every 3 months with MRI and contrast as that is the best way to diagnosis hepatocellular carcinoma tumors. Avatar f tn I dont know... It might depend on the gun... But I could be totally wrong. What I do know is that early on in your pregnancy you're most prone to losing the baby so the most important time to take precautions is now. Definitely check with a doctor...
5840725 tn?1376960433 id say it was safe, google cheeses to avoid during pregnancy then look at the ingredients in your sauce but id say its safe i eat cheddar all the time
Avatar f tn You cannot go in the MRI area that is marked by safety signs, that is, you cannot be in the room with the machine or down at that end of the hallway. But now, as far as I know, if the machine is not on, you can be in the general area, but since there's no way of knowing that, just steer clear of those signs they put up.
Avatar n tn THE MICROWAVE is NOT dangerous! You can stand in front of it safely! It has a magnetic field which traps the micro waves inside the micro! Properly used, a microwave oven is extremely safe.

Avatar f tn I have had 2 brain MRI in past. I found something on the last one I am concerned with. Report said all good, but I take the disk and go through each one carefully. I have ask 2 doctors to look at my MRI with me and give me their opinion, but was turned down by both? I have a past history of optic neuritis (2003), meningitis (2005); falling all the time; involuntary muscle spasms & numb extremities. Plus more!
Avatar f tn 5 mg of Paxil CR for about 3 years, I had the blues after my last baby and she will be 4 this year and I also got diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. I continually fight with myself over getting off of it but it does so much for me that I dont want to. My question is will it harm me in any way for staying on it? I dont want to cause any more problems for myself by staying on it but evidently I lack serotonin and the paxil replaces it. Any info that you might give me would be greatly appreciated.
Avatar n tn During an MRI does the technician performing the MRI stay with the patient or in an observatory room with intercom the entire time should the MRI need to be terminated for some reason.
Avatar n tn I agree with the above poster. Your Dr knows best. I do know several people that have had stents and heart attacks and tmany of their Drs have said if you can walk up 2 flights of stairs briskly and not be out of breath then sex is safe. Do check with your Dr first though.
