I am having some severe side effects concerning short term memory loss, irritability, and fatigue. My question is will any of the medications i was subscribed or taken in combination have symptons of severe memory loss?
I am having the same issue with NGU. tested for everything- negative. did the same- azitro, doxy, shot of rocephin, flagyl. don't know what else to do. thinking of trying moxi but heard it has side effects. i want to get diagnosed with a pcr test for any mycoplasma but my doctor doesn't offer it. i've been feeling sick for months, im sure its something to do with a bacteria because it happened immediately after unprotected oral sex. let me know what happens with you.

Recently I went for a checkup and my doctor gave me Metformin for weight loss (It suddently went up to 99 kg though I was at 85 before and was following a strict diet plan). I don't have diabetes and I haven't been diagnosed with PCOS, and I think Metformin is generally used for these two issues. So I'm concened whether I should really be Metformin. About a month ago, I had an itch in my urethra (penis) and there was a foul smelling discharge but no pus like symptoms. As I am currently situated in China and am not too confident of the Chinese hospitals, I visited an International Medical Center where the doctor diagnosed a Chlamydia infection. There was only a urine sample test done and I was prescribed Ofloxacin. My itch and discharge cleared up after I was done with the medication, 4 x 100 mg tablets, 2 times daily for 5 days.
I was on PPIs for 3 months and was taking 20 mg 2x a day, it gave me a whole bunch of side effects , the worst being severe stomach pain. I always felt like I didnt need to be on them. I find that people with high HCL tend to be bigger/fatter, Im thin.

hey there, badgerMR. to be honest, i took metronidazol just one day after i took my azythromicine (i know, shouldn't self-diagnose), but I took them anyway. and it did not help. I know there's an alternative which is tinidazol but I'm just saying I did take antibiotics against MG myself and it did not help the symptom...
doxycycline, azithromycin and moxifloxacin. The first two failed to clear my infection and now I have two days that I finished the moxifloxacin 400 mg( 10 days treatment) clearing my symptoms. My question is, Is it possible for the bacteria to reoccur after the moxifloxacin treatment? And if yes what other option are there?
you really have done yourself a disservice with your self treating and all this antibiotic use :( You've caused yourself side effects from them as well as now you've set yourself up majorly for yeast issues too. also odds are you've disrupted your gi flora now too which just sets you up for more issues down the line :( If you saw all the issues I see every day from antibiotic overuse, you'd never take another one again without a confirmed infection!
You missed the most important measure. The heart rate. A blood pressure measurement without a heartrate is meaningless. A drop to 58/47 is unacceptable. There are also "missing pieces" in the reasons why the various meds are prescribed. I think Gabapentin is a medication with many side effects that is overprescribed, but that's an opinion of one. I can see no reason for prescribing Gabapenton for numb hands.
A recent study was done to show that Myco was only erradicated by 85% of those on the Azithro regiment described, however Avelox ( Moxifloxacin) killed Myco in all cases. Routine is to try described Azithro regimen first and if symtoms still exist Moxifloxacin. Why? I guess so that Myco doesn't become Moxifloxacin resistant. Save the bugs, kill the patient kind of thing. I say take the 400mg a day X 10 day regiment of Moxifloxacin and help yourself.

The sex drive is good to know. Citalopram also gave me that side effect. I am glad the Wellbutrin did not make you gain weight. I wonder how long until it is out of my system. The doctor said if i quit cold turkey on Citalopram, it can cause bad side effects. That's why I am taking half a pill of it. I know you are not a doctor, or maybe you are, but how long until you think the Citalopram is out of my system? Thanks!
