Avatar m tn For past few years every month a time comes when i suffer from inappetance, nausea followed by breast tenderness and swollen lymph node around my breast, subscapula and right inguinal area. Finally there is a dull pain in area just above right side of my pelvis , frequent urination and a thick mucus discharge comes out of my genitalia in large volume with some abdominal discomfort. Its like pseudopregnancy except for that im a virgin. I happend to run so many test like ultrasound and fnac etc.
675329 tn?1297288378 I also learned that most ovarian cancer STARTS in the Fallopian tubes. With that in mind, I would recommend anybody done with kids, and having abdominal surgery, to have their tubes removed. At least talk to your doctor about it.
Avatar f tn Hi.. First of all i would like to thank this forum to all the girls here sharing their story,I have few post here I am here again, still searching for the answer and still worried I don't want to think that i have a ''OVARIAN CANCER''no one like to have cancer, I have MRI SCAN & BLOOD TEST yesterday, my next apointment is Jan.16.. still have lots of pain nearly 2 months still waiting for 2 weeks to meet my Dr. my last period Dec.
Avatar m tn ve had two open-heart surgeries. I had a 7% chance of dying in the first one and a 33% chance of dying in the second one. I knew, going in, especially for the second one, that it wasn't any sure thing that I was going to live through it. My attitude was, I was going to give myself my best chance for life by having the surgery, and if I didn't make it, then at least I would had done everything I could. I went into it scared but peaceful, if that makes any sense.
Avatar f tn It depends on which form of supraventricular tachycardia someone suffer from, and more important, if someones heart is healthy or not. A healthy heart can usually tolerate supraventricular tachycardia without problems, and usually even ventricular arrhythmias without problems. An unhealthy heart can get problems with a rapid heart rhythm, through different mechanisms.
Avatar f tn The ovarian cysts need further evaluation regarding their size and nature. Many of the cysts in young women respond to birth control pills or regress spontaneously. Hence it would be best to consult a gynaecologist for an evaluation. The answer is based on information provided. Exact advice is not possible without a proper examination and investigations. You are requested to consult your Doctor. Take care and keep us posted.
Avatar f tn I hear you on the bladder and bowel issues! I've had them since my hysterectomy too. I don't have painful sex but I have no libido so no sex happening. I would think that ovarian cysts could exacerbate bladder and bowel issues. Not sure about painful sex. If you've had that since your hysterectomy, then cysts are not likely the cause. That would be more apt to be a vaginal cuff problem, a too short vagina, vaginal atrophy, or endometriosis (if you have that).
Avatar n tn I've had a few ovarian cysts in the past 7 years. I was just wondering if they can affect my chances of getting pregnant?
Avatar f tn I have found all kinds of info regarding increased mortality rate of 172% after a bilateral oophorectomy before the age of 45. I am 39. I read about surgically induced menopause. Again, only regarding bilateral. Any info or experiences would be greatly appreciated.
2042958 tn?1329985977 Women can take supplementary iodine to ward off breast and ovarian cysts and cancer. You might want to find out if you are deficient in iodine.
Avatar f tn I don't think so because the new report didn't mentioned any of that except that some cysts in ovary.... I guess its pcod!!
Avatar n tn Up to 14% of women that have gone through menopause get cysts. There is a wide range of normal for size of ovaries. Ovarian cancer is hard to predict and size of ovaries is not used to do so. But what prompted this question? Are you having issues with your ovaries? Or did you have a concerning exam?
Avatar m tn If the doctor thought that she had cancer he would have dealt with the burst cyst in a more speedy manner. Over 95% of all cysts are benign. Do take a look at the health pages (top right) for more info on types of cysts, etc. I'm sure all will work out for her.
Avatar f tn My Gyne appointment was just this monday and he mention that i might have endometriosis aside from the darn ovarian cyst too. The ca 125 i had was 104 instead of the normal less than 21 so my Gyne called then said we needed to do surgery asap!!! Freaked the crap outta me since this is my first real surgery. Mine is scheduled on aug 13. Do you have a lap schedule yet?
Avatar f tn I personally don't know of any in the Philippines. NDRF (dysautonomia research site) mentions Japan and Taiwan as far as Asia goes. Because you mention episodes, I wonder if any of the doctors you saw tested you for pheochromocytoma? It's a rare tumor, usually found on an adrenal gland, that can episodically give off large amounts of catecholamine(s), which can cause high blood pressure, tachycardia, headache, sweating, etc.. Tachycardia itself can make a person short of breath.
Avatar f tn They can form anywhere in the body. Ovarian cysts (sists) form in or on the ovaries. The most common type of ovarian cyst is a functional cyst. Functional cysts often form during the menstrual cycle. The two types are: Follicle cysts. These cysts form when the sac doesn't break open to release the egg. Then the sac keeps growing. This type of cyst most often goes away in 1 to 3 months. Corpus luteum cysts. These cysts form if the sac doesn't dissolve.
4309115 tn?1357606283 Another kidney disease called membranous nephropathy (MN) SKIN LESIONS Porphyria cutanea tarda (PCT) is the most common form of the porphyrias, a group of diseases characterized by defects in one or more of the enzymes involved in the production of heme. ..... In a large case–control study of 34,204 veterans, lichen planus, vitiligo and PCT are the skin disorders that have been found to have significant association with HCV infection (9).
1872158 tn?1320302628 There are some solutions to it, doctors say for females the cysts occur because of our monthly cycle, its never too late to take birth control which is one of the solutions to cysts but it all depends on the person. Cysts can be harmless unless the are reacurring, when it reacures often, you might be at risk for ovarian cancer. Only do the operation IF NECASSARY!!! The medication the doctor is offering would possibly help but if there are a lot of side effects I suggest not taking it.
Avatar f tn After these years, today I went again, to another doctor, because of the same problem and result is almost the same. I have Ovarian Cyst of sized 3,9 cm diameter on the right one, and 5,2 cm on the left one. (I don't know if it recurred or never even disappeared). Endometrium 6mm. Results of my blood test will be ready in a week and I'm a bit nervous about it so please, if you can, give me your suggestions/answers on these questions: 1.
Avatar m tn And who knows, there are probably more besides. Talk to the doctor, not all cysts (even ovarian cysts) form from too much estrogen, or anything of the sort.
Avatar f tn I am on birth control to help regulate my period (Camila progestin- only) so I can start TTC in the next couple of months. I looked up this pill and it said the pill can cause ovarian cysts. Should I ask to be switched? Thanks for answering!
Avatar n tn Removing a cyst can result in miscarriage. Most of the time they go away on there own.
408163 tn?1242949501 98% of all ovarian cysts are benign but can cause all the concerns you are having. If the cysts are growing in size and do not disappear as most do monthly, then you might possibly benefit from a scope to remove them and let the doctor have a good look around to see just what is involved in there. Not because I think you have cancer but an gyn/onocologist might be the best for that second opinion. Good Luck and keep us posted. We do care.
Avatar f tn I have anechoic cyst in left ovary, the size is 4.1 cm.Doctor said it's possible to undergo for surgery. Doctor suggested me, need to wait for 2 months. Is it possible to get back normal condition? IS the cyst will get shrink from this size? How should I prevent to make grower? This discussion is related to anechoic cyst.
Avatar m tn My daughter, age 15, had to be rushed to the ER about 4 weeks ago for severe abdominal pain. After hours of tests and ultrasounds, they finally came across a complex cyst 4.5 cm in diameter. The GYN put her on birth control and the unbearable pain seemed to be getting better until yesterday. I know it's not likely, but what are the odds of ovarian cancer in teen? Being a complex cyst really worries me.
