Avatar n tn hi, early repolarization can cause ST segment elevation. But so can damage from a previous heart attack. So, giving basic info always helps. In this case, age and gender especially. If you are in the category of "young, healthy male", then it is probably nothing wrong see: http://www.madsci.com/manu/ekg_st-t.

According to the doctor, he had at least 4 episode of heart attack in the middle of the night, his heart is only functioning at 20% now. He is now schedule for a second stent in one month times. 1355084 tn?1277316957 STEMI heart attacks refer to what is called a S - T elevation of the heart beats on an EKG or a stress test and it's considered a significant event. The question you need to ask your doctor is, are these stunned cells or killed cells, as Ed suggested. If they are stunned cells, exercise, diet and medications can revitalize them. Rehab is going to be very important, make sure your husband participates.
Avatar n tn no, hydrocodone is vicodin. Morphine sulfate is the active ingredient in morphine. If you are worried about a possible reaction to the medication, I would speak to your local pharmacists. I'm not sure if hydrocodone and morphine are in the same family of drugs. I know vicodin and percocet are in a similar family (due to codine), but morphine is much different. refer to this website. http://www.rxlist.com/duramorph-drug.
Avatar m tn Three months ago had 3rd acute MI (STEMI, inferolateral). Complicated PTCA with 2 overlapping bare metal stents to clear acute proximal thrombotic occlusion to RCA. Feasibility of stenting questioned by interventionist at outset (I was in cath lab for 2.5 hours...somehow he pulled it off). Angiogram showed several other stenoses of varying dimensions. Obviously pursuing aggressive risk factor mitigation. My primary concern is deterioration of saphenous grafts.
237039 tn?1264258057 I have been given Morphine in the hospitals during my heart attacks, and most recently was given Morphine quite frequently. I was told last April, the reason they were giving me Morphine at short intervals is because it "oxygenates" the heart. As long as I had the chest pains they were administering the Morphine at 30 minute intervals. I protested the frequent use, but was told it was for that reason I was being given that much.

Avatar m tn What would you considered a reasonable field treatment for trigeminal PVCs with borderline sinus bradycardia (64 - 56 bpm, systolic BP mid-70s, patient is pale, diaphoretic, and experiencing epigastric discomfort. I am a paramedic and with the constant changes in AHA recommendations, this area is very unclear. Currently our protocols do not mention symptomatic/unstable patients experiencing bigeminal or trigeminal PVCs.

654183 tn?1225309036 No one puts a drug in solution and then in a needle to squirt in their mouths. They could use an eyedropper to do that. You may need to wake fully up here if you wish to save your marriage. And you have legitimate concerns for health. I have already done a years worth of experimental chemo from the Mayo Clinic because of my carelessness. It is no joke. I would be glad to chat if you wish to PM me ---- unfortunately the bottom line seems to be that he needs to want to quit for himself.

784419 tn?1236261756 After running the gamut of pain medications in an effort to find some relief from the constant, chronic pain I endure from spondylolisthesis, I've been prescribed morphine tablets at 10 mgs per tab. Also I think that Morphine is a much stronger drug than Oxycodone. It is my opinion that Morphine controls pain on a much better level.....Thank's for your input. It's appreciated.
Avatar f tn Second - is this a short acting (SA) or is it a long acting (LA) Morphine? 60mgs of Morphine is one heck of a one time dose. I would not take it. There could be serious complications, especially if you your system is opiate naive. Don't take it.
Avatar f tn They gave me morphine when I went into preterm labour on monday and it was awful. It made me really dopey and spaced out and I could still feel the contractions but obviously not as painful. The dr said next time I can ask for a half dose if I'd prefer not to be so out of it.

I have been on fentanyl, embeda and opana, Right now I have a spacer in my right knee because the staph infection was so severe they could not put in a knee yet so I still have one more surgery to go. 11548417 tn?1506080564 My cardiologist says everything is stable and no need to worry. No restriction in sporting. I however have my doubts about the severity of my heart disease. Can anyone shed some extra light on my condition? In 2013 I was diagnosed LAD stenosis and moderate Mitral regurgitation. I had a stent placed in LAD for severe blockage (>90%). 1 week after stenting, I got an infarction (STEMI) due to in-stent stenosis which I survived with light heart muscle damage.
