Avatar f tn I can not take oxycodone with acetemetaphine due to head aches and the oxycodone pill form gives me the bad mood changes. What about the oxycodone capsule? I have to go to the doctors in a couple of hours and think I may ask her about the capsules but I'd like to hear some input.
Avatar m tn For reasons beyond my understanding our body builds antigens to this drug we may have taken for years - an allergic reaction begins. It can be in the form of a rash, hives or other SX (symptoms). If not recognized the allergic reaction can become severe. I don't know if that is what is happening to you. It's many of allergies initially presented. Don't mess around my friend in pain - contact your prescribing physician. Let him/her determine where to from here.
11116547 tn?1415690651 They gave it to me in pill form at the hospital after surgery and then sent me home with a few prescriptions. I went home with an antibiotic to try to keep from getting an infection, lortab, and percocet for pain management, as well as strong ibuprofen.
1808595 tn?1316359530 They're not going to give you morphine in the hospital!!! If you go to an inpatient detox, they'll give you things to help ease withdrawals and they'll monitor your blood pressure and make sure you're hydrated, but no one is going to give you IV narcotics or narcotics in pill form. It doesn't solve the problem. You need to decide what you're going to do and make a plan. YOu can go inpatient to detox; you can go CT at home, or you can taper at home.
654183 tn?1225309036 No one puts a drug in solution and then in a needle to squirt in their mouths. They could use an eyedropper to do that. You may need to wake fully up here if you wish to save your marriage. And you have legitimate concerns for health. I have already done a years worth of experimental chemo from the Mayo Clinic because of my carelessness. It is no joke. I would be glad to chat if you wish to PM me ---- unfortunately the bottom line seems to be that he needs to want to quit for himself.
Avatar m tn I recently started having extreme back pain had a MRI and I could not believe how bad my back is l4 and l5 is sitting on my nerve of s1 I have been taking MS Contin 60 milligrams for 5 years now from an accident in the surgery room. I take percocet 7.5 - 325 and it does not touch my pain. I called my doctor and he suggested ibuprofen 800. I took one when I was in extreme pain level 10 and my pain was gone within an hour completely gone.
Avatar n tn yes im trying to quit its just that they say that morphine lastes longer and it is alot cheaper as i have no choice
Avatar m tn So it sounds like yoiu are on a form of MS Contin, or ER Morphine Sulphate 60mg Qam and prescribed Dilaudid/Hydromorphone-the short acting breakthrough pain med, every 4 hours throughout the day. Usually what doctors prescribed is a standing dose of the long acting med and use the breakthrough medication as a "prn" or as needed med. In other works every 4 hours as needed. I just responded to your other post, so you'll get my full speal there.
Avatar f tn Yeah I have written a birth plan this time and in capitals I wrote no morphine lol not only is it hideous and highly contagious but they bloody hurt haha not a fun time.
Avatar f tn I feel like I need to take them less often but as for pharmacies they buy whatever is the cheapest and if you think about it if there R 70% of a drug and one pill and 80% in and another pill of course the colored ones are going to be cheaper because there is less of the actual medicine in the colored pill not necessarily although by color but in my case is an ex yes that's how it was explained to me the colored ones have a lower percentage .
1535353 tn?1292709086 Hi Skittles, I too am a young woman who has spine issues around L5 & S1. I had decompression surgery almost 5 years ago which was unsuccessful & have since been on SEVERAL different pain meds. I had heard from 1 doctor the option of a morphine pump, but when I mentioned it to another they claimed they don't offer that. I'm in Ontario Canada though so I would imagine it's quite different there. I'm currently on Fentanyl & am terrified by it.
Avatar f tn Actually, that is Morphine that she is taking... MScontin is the generic form of Morphine Sulfate.
Avatar m tn Thank you for the response. I ended up going to the ER and was diagnosed with Gastroenteritis. I had Eosinophillic Gastroenteritis when I was younger and this was very similar. Both the ER doctor and my pain doctor didn't think this was related to the medication, but I think it played a role as I've never been ill enough to force me into the ER.
7598782 tn?1392903245 s getting better relief from Voltaren in pill form now than she was from the Morphine. The gel form is really effective, as well. Hope that this helps.
4184816 tn?1350780940 After counting my pills the doctor asked me to continue with the Morphine and come back in in two weeks. I was glad the count was right on after the nurse replaced the pills in the bottle but mortified that they mistrusted me! So, I am still taking these pills that do not work and will go back in in two weeks.
Avatar f tn who has me on 30mg of morphine and 10mg of oxy. I still am in considerable pain. I go back in three weeks to have him re-evaluate my pain. I am not sure what they can do,, but I hope it gets better than this.
