Condition of your daughter I know ,I first expressed my sympathy for her unfortunate, your daughter's condition is advanced lung cancer, currently no good way is to treat her cancer , I agree with your adviced the doctor, cortisol treatment advanced cancer is very limited.
My mom has stage 4 non small cell lung cancer, she has tried multiple chemos and non of them are working so she has decided to stop treatment. But she is having severe pain in her hip from the cancer spreading. She cant walk without support. The doctor has gave her morphine pills and hydrocdine and non help with the pain. Has anyone had the same pain and if so what help your pain. Trying to find something to ease the pain for her.
Death is not often a pleasant experience, especially death from lung cancer. There is nothing to blame yourself for. Your husband's death was inevitable, and chances are that no medication could have reduced his suffering at the end.
Please forget your guilt and move on into your grieving. Again, I am sorry for your loss, but from what you report, there is nothing else you could have done.

1 cm spiculated lesion in the right lower lobe abutting the right hemidiaphragm. The morphology of the lesion is suspicious for primary lung carcinoma". This is what it is in a report.
We went to see a doctor and he gave us 3 options: 1.wait and observe, 2. biopsy, 3. remove it. We decided to have a biopsy done.
I am trying to be positive but I am not coping with this well. Could it be something from the surgery(liver transplant, 2 recent hernia surgeries) like scar tissue or fluid?
I don't know about lung cancer, but I see posts from time to time about some universal cure. It seems to me that biomimicry would also have a chance to gain the status of a universal remedy if research on its effects on the body is developed. I don't want to get into conspiracy theories, but I've been hearing cancer cure announcements for 20 years, and our treatment approaches haven't changed. Another thing that greatly helps being considered for a lung transplant, is having a very good doctor, that helps push for the possible transplant. Mother had an excellent pulmonary specialist, that helped my Mother, get her foot in the door, of being seen by the transplant team. I wish with all my heart, that my answers were what you wanted and needed to hear. Once again, you are a wonderful person, to want to do this for your Aunt.
However, adrenal involvement is commonplace for lung cancer and some centers would not evaluate further. If the size of the lung involvement is amenable to surgery then this would raise some doubt that the disease may not yet be metastatic. An imaging study like an MRI could raise further doubts and a biopsy of the adrenal could be done to make sure it is not really stage 4.
You can begin by searching pub med for the association of silica exposure and lung cancer. There are numerous components to "coal dust."

Increased density in a chest xray usually presents with white, or increased whiteness of the lung fields. This may suggest lung disease, not necessarily cancer and may need to be evaluated further. Ideally, x-ray results are compared from any previous chest x-rays to help monitor any changes in the lung. A repeat x-ray after a few weeks will help determine any changes. Hope this helps. Hi. Whatever type of lung cancer your mother has (whether small cell or non small cell variety), she is in an advanced stage because of the brain metastases (was this documented by CT scan?) and what I assume to be metastases to lymph nodes behind the ears (post-auricular nodes). The primary treatment for brain metastases coming from the lungs is still radiotherapy.
t work left it week and went back doctor gave more antibiotics which seem of work in frist week I did cought up a bit of blood any way the 2 sent me for x ray which they sent for ct scan had phone call the found something on my left lung I do stuffer from copd and asthma which I had from child ive going in next week for a biopsy really worried as don't know if I do all again
t even know if it is oral or genital. Can HSV-1 affect lungs considering the history of TB? Is it lung cancer? I am getting scared when I read about the link between TB and lung cancer and to make that worse I have HSV-1 on top of that.
I read somewhere that HSV-1 affects lungs for immunocompromised people like who have HIV. Do the people who were treated for TB come under immunocompromised categoty? If my immune system is so weak then why didn't HSV-1 show any symptoms to me?
This nodule can be a form of early-stage cancer. If your doctor is suggesting for the operation you must go for it. As your doc can suggest you the best for your life as per his experience.

Hello I am a caretaker. My client was diagnose with lung cancer stage IV. It has already spread to the spine, both lungs and the lymph system. Doctors triede Tarceva for 3 weeks but her body had a very bad reaction. For the spine they did radiotherapy. But since she was diagnose 3 months ago she has lost aalmost her voice. she is using oxygen for the major part of the day but doctors don't wan't to talk about time. no more medes will be given and she was reffer to hospice....
