If you are asthmatic or any other respiratory disorders, then morphine is a bad idea. It's better if you see a physician who would recommend the right pain killer.

I have been admitted into hospital every month for the past 4 months due to severe pain in my ovaries. They found a cyst each time that had ruptured, gave me some morphine and sent me off with painkillers. The most recent time i went in they found a cyst but on my right side, but the pain is still in my left. Yet again they sent me off with painkillers. I feel like no one is doing anything to help me, can i do anything about this as im worried its something serious!

you are taking alot of different medications, why not just get clean from one drug at a time, start with the morphine and once you are clean from them move onto another, i think it would be nearly impossible to detox from all of them at once. just a thought.

I am taking about 650mg of morphine a day plus 3 other painkillers on top & i've been told I need to come off it. I get the sweats every 4 hours now. I'm ratty, moody & not nice to be around without it how am I going to cope?

Imodium will help with the runs and will calm you some.I would take a nice long hot Epsom salt bath and wait about 1 hour and have my hubby rub my arms and legs down with muscle cream and then i would put icy hot sleeves on my knees and elbows and a heating pad behind my back and that helped some.Take a good multi vitamin and bananas are good too.Melatonin might help with sleep.I am sure other will come soon with more advice.You will be ok it will be tough for a few days but you will live.

I just switch my medical care to VA. They took me off Oxycotin 20mg, 2 morning 2 evening. Now I am on Morphine S04 30MG 1 morning 1 evening. My pain has increased. I am afraid to ask for more, because I don't want them to think I am an addict. Anyway, I went an had dental surgory, and told him I didn't need pain meds because I was already on Morphine. Let me tell you, I was in the worse pain in a long time. I had to call him and get some Hydrocodone, and that helped.

As for what type of pain meds, I was given moprphine and valium, and there were a few other meds as well....to help prevent blood clots, etc... I did have an issue with the morphine so it was changed to dilaudid for me and that worked much better and I didn't get sick from it.... My Drs were great in using pain meds to keep me from having pain....as I am sure urs will too.

I know I am rambling with no real premise or objectivity or question to this posting, I think I am just confused to whether or not I should try to remain on the prescribed dose of painkillers and look to alternatives for the depression and sexual downturn, i.e. testosterone injections, or if the painkillers are the root of all that troubles me right now.

but had to be weaned OFF the other painkillers (lortabs?) and gradually weaned ONTO the morphine...so i imagine the opposite would work, too, right? you might have to wean slightly OFF the morphine before you begin taking a little of the norcos....and then eventually wean off the norcos....it's all done for the sake of your body....a doctor did this with him....

But my pain was still in lower back, and sometimes running down my leg. I am very active doing yard work, building, and lifting. I got morphine scripts in May and June and I called in July to come in for refills and get drug test, They called me back and said the P.A. decided I was doing better as indicated in April and they send a script in for Codeine #3 taking 5 for 3 days, decreasing by a tablet a day every three days till gone. I was pissed.

Most recently my intern prescribed me low dose morphine ER. I also gave me horrible nausea and I was so weak that I had to lie still most of the day. Are there any other options that I could suggest to my doctor? My holistic md wanted my to try low dose naltrexone (LDN) back when we were just working on treating the hashi, but I've also read that it works well for Lyme, too. Anyone have any thoughts?

s so went to see new GP for an MOT and he has decided that we should try different painkillers to see if I can find one I'm ok with. I'm intollerant to morphine (i.e. it doesn't produce anaphyllactic shock but the side effects are horrendous). I also can't use tramodol, meptid, or codeine phosphate. I can tollerate 8/500 co-codamol but these no longer touch the pain due to prolonged use. I can't tollerate 30/500 co-codamol.

She was readmitted into the hospital again this month with horrible pain and was on morphine for a few days and was released with oral pain killers. The ultrasound this time showed fluid in her abdomen again but no cyst. The doctor thinks she might have had another cyst that burst. She is still feeling pain and is nauseous and has a really bad headache. My question is, how long does it take for the fluid to be reabsorbed?

I've posted here lately & found needed help from people who understand what i'm feeling. I don't know what to write but feel I need to talk. My head is all over the place & I feel really rough. I've hardly slept the last 4 or 5 nights & I feel really light headed at the moment. My kids are asleep upstairs & my wife is in london for an awards ceremony for work & she's staying over.

In between the hydro and morphine I took no break. Now I decided if I take 3 tabs a day and get off the morphine and taper off the hydro I might make it without a lot of pain. This may not seem like much of an addiction but to me, I have no business with the morphine and the year of 8 hydros a day. So it changed my way of life. I have pancreas trouble and there is no doctor to help. I am open to any and all suggestions.

I am currently off work sick with a few chronic issues (the reasons I started the co codamol in the first place) but as the years have went on, my pain has gotten worse and 2 painkillers just did not cut it. I used to be pretty athletic, still swim (without kicking now) about 1250 yards every other day and, until this hip pain, walked about 3 miles on the nonswim days.( 5 days/week) I'm 5 5 128-130 lbs. I'm young. The pain has been getting worse. I can walk no more than about 100 feet without intense pain. I've left messages with my nurse practioner per doctors proto-call but they have not returned calls. My internist says to trust the oncologist.

Can I take endone whilst I am pregnant, I'm having severe back pains and I chronic migraine and I just want to take one to slightly relieve it?

i am detoxing of painkillers which i was shooting this is only the seconed day and i have things i need to do i was shooting up morphine hydro anything just in the last couple weekes i did harion i want to take some tramacet wich is a pain killer not sure what kind or even a couple perks to help me get through what i need to do but i am worried that it will just prolong the withdraw or even restart it what should i do??

Did you stop painkillers suddenly? Are you having withdrawal symptoms? Other than that, no way to tell why you're feeling like that. If you're having withdrawal we'll support you on here. Good luck.
