Avatar f tn Depending on the severity of the pain and the quality of it, ketorolac might or might not help. Ketorolac is an NSAID, which means that it's in the same category of drug as ibuprofen, but it's much stronger. These types of drugs are especially useful if there's any swelling going on. If you're in severe, severe pain, ketorolac might not be enough. It's also important to remember that you should only take it for 5 days at a time (max!
Avatar m tn I'm on Lotemax / Pred Forte and also on Ketorolac (generic brand of a perscription that I forget) which is an anti-inflamatory. I have access to Lotepred; is that the same as the Ketorolac, (anti-inflamatory)? Or, is Lotepred the same as Zymar (anti-biotic)? I'm trying to avoid renewing my perscription of Ketorolac for 8 more days.
Avatar f tn d done a bit of homework and used big words like aqueous humor (he he he) and let him know I knew what signs to be wary of if one should develop the closed angle type of glaucoma. I'm so goofy. I rattled off the red eyes, the fixed, mid-sized pupil which doesn't respond to light, etc. He seemed impressed that I had at least tried, and even shook my hand. Jaw Drop! :) Anyway, he gave me a bit of disturbing news just as I was walking out the door.
Avatar m tn The doctor has prescribed two types of eye drops to be administered 4 times a day. They are ketorolac tromethamine and prednisolone acetate. Will my vision recover or is this just stopping further loss? I use to have better than 20/20 and am praying I will get it back.
1402969 tn?1324690560 t take a pill pain so it has made me think of when I was in basic training and they had given me a shot in the butt for the pain. It didnt make me feel any different but boy did it help with the pain. I am wondering if anyone has heard of it? I am not sure if they use it in private medicane or not. Thanks!
Avatar f tn After surgery, I started the Ketorolac and the prednisolone drops. Surgery was late Wednesday, took drops once, then on Friday morning, I awakened to a rash on both forearms that itch like mad and are on fire. While the Ketorolac burns/stings quite a bit each time I use it, I do not have any known allergies to NSAIDs other than naproxene, which makes me nausea, stomach pain, and vomiting. I have never taken a steroid before for anything.

Avatar n tn My 8 year old son was hospitalized 9 days ago. Severe cramping of the lower right abdominal cavity. Low grade fever. Took him to the hospital where it was confirmed he had appendicitis and underwent a successful laparoscopic appendectomy the following day. Released the day after (Sunday). Pain continued but not as severe and we just thought it was pain associated with the appendectomy however his fever began to rise and the pain intensified. By Tuesday evening we were back in the hospital.

Avatar f tn I went to a eye doc, he gave me two eye drops. One carboxy methyl cellulose sodium 1% for dryness of my eye and another Gatifloxacin & ketorolac tromethamine eye drop for treatment. The doc told me something entered inside my eye.
Avatar f tn I went to my pcp (as my infectious disease doc was out this week) and she gave me 100 mg IV solumedrol and increased my valtrex to 1 G two times daily. I am also talking Tylenol and ketorolac around the clock with minor relief. Could this be something else? It doesn’t seem to fit the description of type two herpes in throat. Even my infectious disease doc was a little confused. And if this is herpes what can I do!?! It’s non stop and I’ve been out of work a ton cause of it . Thanks!
Avatar n tn Hi...I am on numerous meds...heart(tachycardia arrythmia)-ATENOLOL; High Cholesterol-CRESTOR; Hernia-PRAVACHOL; Fibromyalgia & Osteo-Arthrytis-KETOROLAC; water retention-LASIX; Sinus-FLONASE; Dysrythmia-ATIVAN. I have also been on EFFEXOR for 5 years for severe depression. My dosage has been increased twice in the past month--I now take 187.5 mg...I woke up at about 12 midnight last Sunday and I have no recall of the past 4 days; however, I apparently withdrew $7000.
Avatar m tn Normally the anxiety resolves itself within a few weeks but this time it has persisted and continues on. Could it be caused by the morphine? This is my thought but the pharmacist said he didn't think it was. Also my doctor is suggesting 8 tylenol a day to replace the morphine. I am so skeptical of it being adequate though I know I can manage less than the 60 mg of morphine now. What are your thoughts?
Avatar n tn he diagnosed candidiasis he prescribed clyndamicine which made the infection go away but i kept having a burning and stinging sensation in my testicles, perine, and glans, i went to see my doctor again he prescribed me metronidazole thinking that it might be trichomoniasis, i took the meds for over 20 days with no result, after that i got tested again but this time he did cultures for both urine and urethral fluids, the result showed a bacteria, Enterobacter sp, he prescribed me ciprofloxacyn, w
Avatar n tn I am not sure what the circumstances are that surround your situation, but I do know that strokes are caused by a blood clot or a brain bleed. My mom just had 2 strokes and they actually gave her a morphine pump for her head because it hurt so bad. I do not think they would have done that if there was a chance it would cause more strokes. Keep doing your research though, I guess you never know!
1751415 tn?1315069443 Hello! I wanted to thank you for the information on Morphine. I neglected to mention that it was not the hospice nurse but the nurse from the nursing home. We will mention this. I know that they use a Fentanyl (hope I'm spelling it correctly) patch and morphine by mouth. They were giving him the patch with Vicodin but I guess because his pain was increasing they switched to Morphine. We are due to have a conference this week. Again, thank you!
Avatar f tn I would be on the safe side and go get checked out. Morphine is a really strong drug especially if your pregnant.hope it all turns out good.
Avatar f tn Still have four more herniated discs from degenerate disc and also stenosis. Lots of pain but 150mg Morphine a day does the trick. Willing to give antidepressant a try......
Avatar m tn Morphine is a terrible one to quit ct....and I doubt that the Doc would want to prescribe enough Norco's to do the job...make certain the taper is long and slow....nausea and vomiting are solid w/d symptoms. Stay well hydrated unless you like your fluid I.V. - most of the MS prescribed outpatient these days is MSContin - morphine sulfate continuos release.
Avatar f tn He was very nice and helpful. He gave me morphine extended release 30mg tables and I need to take those 3x a day. I asked him about pregnancy and this medication. He said that there is always a chance of compilations. He said he has seen several patients that have gotten pregnant on this medication, some have tapered off of it and some continued to stay in this medication.
