Frequently the forms of methylphenidate work better for ADHD Hyperactive while the dextroamphetamines work better for the Inattentive. Which is your son? i have been prescribed adderall before, but the only downfall for me is the comedown. I get all jittery and generally just feel bad.. my friend who is prescribed recommended me dexedrine, he says because it is pure dextroamphetamine and that there are no salts that the comedown isn't as harsh, is this true? i really wanna try this stuff out for my adhd, so how would i go about telling my doctor i would like to try it so i dont end up sounding like i just want drugs?

I have been put on Modafinil for my sleeping issues and it makes my birth control less effective according to my neurologist and pharmacist. Is there any way I can find out how MUCH less? I've noticed a lot of exacerbated ADHD symptoms by taking SSRI medications. SSRI medicines are hard to manage when I have severe hyperactivity and inattentiveness with ADHD, yet the SSRI seems to help in other areas that I mentioned. I have spoken to my psychiatrist about this a couple times, and he told me to try and time the doses between Dexedrine and Lexapro so I don't have too much Lexapro before trying to study, and try not to have too much Dexedrine close to bed.

The truth is the chemistry in all of our brains vary. There is no remedy or cure that is garunteed results for everyone. I have tried Concerta the come downs were terrible. I took Vyvanse and I just didn't find myself concerned or interested in anything. I took Dexedrine and it's a miracle drug. I'm on Dexedrine Spansules for ADD this is the same as Adderall except its a tad stronger. Your Addderall is formulated to be taken as one dose in the morning the peak plasma half life is 8 to 9 hours oppsed to 2 to 3 with immediate release formulations. So take full dose at 8 am and your sleeping pills will then work better.

Hi. I need some help figuring out how Modafinil works. I basically have something which seems like Insomnia but it isn't. I believe I suffer from Delayed Sleep Phase Syndrome. I have had it since I was 15, I am 25 now. The problem is that, I can't maintain a proper schedule. I can never sleep at a particular time everyday. It keeps moving as every day passes by. For example, right now I am sleeping at around 9 AM everyday and then I am getting up at around 5 PM.

Adderall is much more effective than Concerta IMO. But as much easier to abuse, party on, stay up on... it's not as harsh as any of the extended release meds using Ritalin. I was on Dexedrine for 2 years, and I was absolutely abusing that. I'd say that's the one to really watch out for... I got 180 10 mg Spansules a month, and found a way to run out usually with 5 to 10 days left.

You might be confusing Dexedrine with Dexatrim and Dexatrim is a dietary supplement to decrease appetite with no stimulating effects like the stimulants we're talking about. You are right about the drugs being in the same family, they are all psychostimulants mainly composed of amphetamine and/or dextroamphetamine, levoamphetamine,and other stuff like that...

Over the last 6 weeks I’ve been having some digestion problems… lose bowels movements… lots of gas ect…. (I am also prescribed 20 mg of Dexedrine). The tightness seems to get worse after taking the Dexedrine as well and the Dexdrine has also causes me some digestive problems.
