Common Questions and Answers about Mobic symptoms

mobic

Avatar m tn The proximity of your mobic intake and the symptoms may point out to a possible adverse drug reaction. Adverse drug experiences can come in many forms and not just with the rashes. We cannot also discount the possibility that the burning sensation can be an impinged nerve as you have a history before a bulging disk. I suggest you take this to your doctor. You may also want to hold mobic for a while and see if the symptoms would stop.
Avatar n tn Did these symptoms begin whe you started taking the Mobic? If so, you should probably stop taking them and consult your doctor. You should see your doctor either way.
518798 tn?1295212279 i actually had to be on mobic for a while. its generic name is meloxicam..its a nonsteriodal anti inflammitory. i am no longer taking it, but its good and works well.
Avatar n tn Does anyone know if mobic is addictive? My doctor switched me to them today from loratab. I am glad because the loratab really is addictive and I would rather not have my body relying on anything. I have been on the loratab for a little over a year now and I feel like crap if I miss a day and go without it. Not only am I in pain (because of female problems and my back) but I feel like I have the flu. How long will I feel that way without it? since I switch my meds today.
1311475 tn?1274198780 I should not be in withdrawal since I have tapered myself down to the 60 mg and have been at that dose for quite some time. I was given an NSAID called Mobic to reduce the pain from withdrawal symptoms but have other side effects from that, like withdrawal symptoms when I take it, I for one did not see any of these symptoms that I'm having as a side effect on the drugs information pamphlet or research that I've done on the medication.
Avatar m tn My doctor wrote me a script for Mobic to help with some nerve pain. Im wondering if anyone knows if its similar to tramadol at all, Im hoping not, but anyone who has any helpful info please let me know. I cant start back on opiates again for the pain and Ive heard too many bad stories about tramadol to even consider it as an alternative. Also if anyone knows of anything that helps nerve pain, Im open for any suggestions. Hope everyone is well, thanks.
Avatar n tn hd mri mild cervical spine spondlosis with left paracentral disc protrusion at c-5-6.. Main symptoms to date radiating pain in shoulder into elbow. Had an EMG done 30 June 2010.. Findings: Consistent with mild axonopathy of the left lower c4-c-5 cervical nerve roots. THe electrical findings in any left upper extremity muscles makes it impossible to isolate radiculopathy to one specific level.. I have had 18 pt visits (traction now up to 32 lbs..
Avatar f tn If so, why? It sounds as if your symptoms are making your life unmanageable, and all you are given is Mobic, an nsaid with a bad side effect profile, and Neurontin? For MS, nsaids rarely work, except to help with pain caused only secondarily. For instance, if you favor one leg, the other may get overworked, with sore muscles or worse symptoms, but there's nothing really happening with it that helping the ailing leg wouldn't fix.
Avatar f tn Today a Doctor gave me a script for Mobic, for wrist pain that I have had for the past month from repative work,my Urate levels are at 52 just over limit.Im on Asprin and fluid tablets which can raise these levels. A specialist doctor I saw says it is gout I don't believe it is...I'm unsure about taking the Mobic though for my wrist ??
Avatar n tn husband was just switched from mobic to gabapentin for nueropathy symptoms he suffers from, he now is having extremely low glucose readings some don't even register on his meter. We need to know if it could be interaction between it and other meds he takes. Currently he takes humilin N&R, levoxyl, prevacid, and mild dose aspirin.
Avatar m tn Yes you can take Mobic with a narcotic pain med. Mobic is a NSAID, and has the same risks as other NSAIDS. In high doses it can cause some kidney issues, the vicodin has tylenol in it and can cause some liver issues in high doses. But they are safe to take together. Typically what you want to watch for is multiple NSAIDS, or Multiple meds with tylenol.
Avatar n tn I feel like i need to find the cause of my pain not treat the symptoms... Please Help!! Any ideas what could be wrong? How to help?
Avatar f tn Is there any reason for all my symptoms? Are they side effects from the drugs? Is there anything else I could be doing - not doing? I would like to golf and enjoy the summer without constant pain, swelling and tender hands.
Avatar n tn My brother, 2yrs older, has had bypasses, has a pace maker-diffibular, and his heart functions at only 20%. My doctor put me on Mobic, and Flexeril for pain from a bad fall a few months ago-no xrays, etc. He had me stop Mobic for a week, saying to resume after chest pains stop. I think that helped but I resumed it about 1wk ago, and the chest pains seem worse and more frequent. I just stopped the Mobic again today, to see if that helps. I am concerned it could be a prelude to a heart attack.
168348 tn?1379357075 Hi, I ask this question because both a member on the Arthritis Community, and myself have seen a corelation between taking NSAID for arthritis and depletion of Vit D ... is this just coincidence or is there a possible connection?
176838 tn?1211460374 He thinks I might have sleep apnea which would account for some of my symptoms but not all. I have some of the pressure points for fibromyalgia but not a full 11. He thinks I might have arthritis & ordered mobic for me; I haven't taken it yet as I'm waiting to hear back from him about how my migraine medicine (which I take almost daily) would interact with the mobic. In doing research on the internet I'm kind of puzzled as to the type of arthritis I could have.
1044813 tn?1370494406 Sure, we can add Mobic/Meloxicam to the Pain Tracker for you. In the meantime, please use NSAIDs, since meloxicam is a type of NSAID and this is already available on the tracker.
Avatar n tn Hi there- have had a swollen finger for about four days- no injury. been taking mobic and tylenol arthritis . not much improvement. went to dr. today and he prescribed me prednisione. but my bp was high and that was kind of upsetting. can an arthritic flare, if thats what it is, make your bp jump? thanks.
Avatar f tn I have type 1 diabetes and sometime wonder if I get confused with my body trying to release the acidity build up in my blood (DKS symptoms) or if I am really having a hard time breathing. I took the methochline challenge test yesterday and my readings were wonderful (well over 100% before and after). I did have some difficulties during the test, but I suppose nothing like someone who is truly ashmatic. The nurse said that I did wonderfully through all 6 steps of the mehocholine inhalations.
Avatar n tn Even with Mobic, I found myself still needing Advil. Have now stopped Mobic and am using Advil and tylenol as needed. Per PC, I do have an appt. with a Rheumy for a 2nd opinion in June, but to be honest I am not hopeful that this doc will know how to read an xray......
Avatar f tn Hi... I was diagnosed with ostearthritis & fibromyalgia a few years ago...and have been taking mobic since then, which has worked. About a month ago, the mobic didn't seem to be working as well.. my hands were hurting a lot at work... so I went back to my dr & he changed my medicine to relafen for the osteoarthritis & lyrica for the fibromyalgia. Although the lyrica seems to work, I'm not liking the side effects, puffy hands & feet & eye twitching...
Avatar m tn ve been prescribed Meloxicam/Mobic for the pain and inflamation. The data sheet that came with the prescription details some pretty nasty potential side effects. I normally don't have too much trouble with meds but this stuff is potent. What have been your experiences with this med? I'm also on Paxil, 10mgs per day, and Methlyne, 15mgs per day, for the depression and anxiety problems. Thx in advance for all your replys. Thom.
Avatar f tn I was just prescribed mobic and I just wondered if it's afdictive
Avatar m tn however there was no sprain by right or left side or any symptoms, it is just when I shoot the ball and my foot stretch down. I kept playing football and since then also visited 5 doctors and had 10 physiotherapy sessions. MRI showed 1st degree ligament injury. I've had two rest periods with overall 4 months length and taken lots of anti-inflammatory drugs and NSAIDs. But after my first shoot the pain recurred.
493368 tn?1209757681 Mobic 15mgs has worked very well for my severe ankle tibial tendonitis and moderate arthritis coupled with physical therapy which helped restore my range of motion which was 60% lost at the time of therapy. However, the tendonitis can not be helped any furthe (I wear orthotics _ high top sneakrs and a splint brace to sleep at night) The mobic helps the arthritis alot for me & I've been on it 1.5yrs with normal blood labs.
3122657 tn?1357432602 But if you have real joint pain you may need to ask your Dr. about anti inflammatory drugs. One is called mobic generic for (???). Dr. Mayo (yes the real mayo!!!) had me on it. I quit taking it because its not good for the heart. My hearts in good shape & I want to keep it like that!!!! But that would definitely be for a Dr. to decide. And yourself of course. I will say---they do work!!! Let me know if it lifts on its own or what???
