Mobic for neck pain

Common Questions and Answers about Mobic for neck pain

mobic

Avatar n tn My provider told me I have a little of Osteo arthritis and has prescribed me Mobic for the pain. Now, since like a month ago, I have been feeling like big pulses on my legs, buttock, arms, neck, face, back and stomack at times. It does not last too long but, i do have then through out the whole day. It is somewhat worrying me. Does anyone know why this is happening or what lab test can I get done?
Avatar n tn ve also wrenched the left side of my neck twice in the past 6 weeks at work. No arm or shoulder pain, in fact only symptoms for prior surgeries were nerve pain in arm - never had neck pain! At no time did any doc tell me I had OA. I specifically asked this new doc if he saw any disc or bone spurs at that level and he said no. Lab work for RA was all negative. Has anyone had a similar experience???
518798 tn?1295212279 i actually had to be on mobic for a while. its generic name is meloxicam..its a nonsteriodal anti inflammitory. i am no longer taking it, but its good and works well.
Avatar f tn I'm not ready for another surgery. The pain is bad I have headaches every day. Had so many nerve block, occipital nerve blocks. On two pain meds Nucynta ER, Nucynta, neurontin, Mobic, Robaxin. Do you think I will need surgery again?
Avatar f tn I was on Mobic for a year or so and never had any issues besides stomach pain (which any NSAID's can cause) I get stomach pain with any NSAID's. Mobic wasn't really that affective for me but my insurance made me try practically every NSAID on the market before they would approve Celebrex. They denied Celebrex and even recommended a PPI (ulcer med) to take with the NSAID's because they didn't want to pay for Celebrex.
Avatar f tn I have chest pain more then two week. If I move my left harm and neck, that time my chest pain. some time i will feel nothing.some time deep breath also.
Avatar m tn My doctor wrote me a script for Mobic to help with some nerve pain. Im wondering if anyone knows if its similar to tramadol at all, Im hoping not, but anyone who has any helpful info please let me know. I cant start back on opiates again for the pain and Ive heard too many bad stories about tramadol to even consider it as an alternative. Also if anyone knows of anything that helps nerve pain, Im open for any suggestions. Hope everyone is well, thanks.
Avatar n tn This feeling is like a throbbing sensation, really deep dull pain then into pins and needle in the fingers. I am taking Mobic in the morning and Codalgin every 4 hrs to relieve the pain. It is significantly worse at night while I am try to sleep. I have had it for 2 months. Chiropractic treatment worked for a while (entrapped nerves in the scalene muscle).
Avatar n tn Mickey, I broke my neck in 1980. C4, C5, C6 and C7 are fused. C5-C7 are wired. I had a bone embedded in a nerve. It took me 2 years to recover. The things I have learned is that to build the muscles in the body are the most important thing to help prevent pain. Pain medication, muscle relaxers are a viscious cycle. A good chiropractor is a must, yes I get adjusted. I would recommend one who uses a thermal scan, that shows when there are trapped nerves.

Avatar m tn I am not a doctor but have disk degeneration in my neck and what can cause thumbs to lock, feel pin prick pain etc, is your c6 and c7 area in your neck causing you issues. With your head on that slight angle looking down, I would think it is more of a referred pain. If it was repetitive injury, then why didn't it take the other thumb long to play up. It's more likely disc inflammation in your neck at those levels because your head is now being held on both sides for long periods.
Avatar f tn This is a forum for people getting off of pain meds. If you are looking for a doctor that is more likely to give you stronger narcotics, then I don't think this is the place. Maybe join the pain mangement forum.
Avatar f tn Today a Doctor gave me a script for Mobic, for wrist pain that I have had for the past month from repative work,my Urate levels are at 52 just over limit.Im on Asprin and fluid tablets which can raise these levels. Avatar m tn I am taking mobic for chronic back pain, however i was recently prescribed vicodin to take in unison with the mobic. I need to know how dangerous if at all the combination of the two can be, and if i need to be aware of additional side effects?
Avatar f tn Couldnt move for a solid day until I got some muscle relaxers and Mobic. Tops of shoulders, ribs, base of neck, back, and abdomen after the other pains went away, it g Felt like my whole abdomen was sore and 10 lbs heavier than usual.
Avatar m tn a A guy who worked for me a few years back described the same pain when he was doin' his girl. We teased him for about two weeks as the pain he had continued. Finally his girl called in and said he was in hospital with pneumonia. It wasn't the usual kind as the fluid was building up in a huge sack surrounding his lung and heart. They stuck a hose in his side and drew a gallon of Lipton Tea looking stuff off overnight.

Avatar f tn I had a terrible headache for a couple of days but this pain is still going strong. Is this normal? How much longer will it last? Why would it irritate those nerves more than in the neck where I have so many problems? Thank you for your time. I would appreciate any help you can give me.
