mixing ativan and gravol

i'm addicted to gravol really bad, i take 30 or more daily plus methadone at 50 mg and this is administered by my pharmacist, he doesn't know about my gravol addiction, i'm lost and don't know what to do

What happens if you mix Ativan with Valium?

I am currently prescribed both xanax and ativan. I took an ativan at 3:30 and my anxietyty hasn't subsided. How long should I wait ti take a xanax?

Was just going to ask u if his doctor knows about all this mixing.....it is dangerous!the Ativan mixed with alcohol can cause him to totally zonk out behind the wheel!As usual boogieman giving good advice...i support his comments!

m on lamictal, abilify, and ativan. Does anyone know the interactions mixing those with alcohol? Any help would be great thanks!

I wanted to say something about the xanax. I was prescribed Ativan (a longer-lasting and less-addictive benzo) and when I would go through withdrawals, I'd take more Ativan to help with the anxiety. THEN, when I stopped having to take the Ativan so much, I realized I was going through withdrawals from the Ativan, too. Horrible. So, yeah, I only take it as prescribed now. It scared me straight on that one. I think that was worse for me than the opiate withdrawal for some time.

ve been taking Synthroid (200 mg) for 13 years and I carry the generic Ativan around with me all the time, and take it when I get anxiety. I take it at least once or twice a month, sometimes more, sometimes less. I have the lowest dose of Ativan, sometimes I take two of them if I have to give a speech or address a large crowd. I find though that I still feel nervous.. just tired and nervous! LOL! They make me sleepy, but do take the edge off.

Hi I am knew to this forum, and i have been taking ativan for anxiety for a few months now, I started to take this because I was addicited to Vicodin. Now that I am clean i have horrible anxiety with occasional panic attacks. I just ordered some 5htp and wondered if anybody else has tried this and if they like it?

I also take a Valium at night with my dose of Ativan to help me sleep because I have been having problems staying durig the night. Is it ok to be mixing Ativan with Valium at night? The Valium dosage is 5mg and my mom wants me to take it at night becase she does not want me losing too much sleep. Also, is the Benadryl ok to take in between Ativan doses? I only take 25mg tablets as needed between doses to help keep that edgy feeling down. I am trying my best to leave the Ativan at 1.

actually the dr i had before this one the one thatput me on the klonopin (i was on ativan) told me to use ativan as needed..........so since a medical dr. told me this back in Jan,i thought untill my dr calls me it wont hurt.I have a friend that is on both talked to her tonight and she told me.

To night I too 4 ativans at night, and 3 Advil PM, and 3 Benadryls. I got geal drowsy and if i close my eyes I would see weird things. So its not working, I just don't understand how I feel fine just taking only one, but at night I wake my self up with jerks, and anxiety.

m on Lamictal, Seroquel, just got put on Wellbutrin(2 weeks not and so far no change, but it can take 6 weeks) , Trazadone and Ativan 2mgs/night

He may give a sleeping tablet at night and the benzos at morning and afternoon times. Depends on the benzo as was stated above. Klonopin which has about a 12 hour lasting cycle I would imagine would never be given with sleeping tablets. Just a guess though. Because of what might accumilate in your system over the course of a day. May be too much for your body. Or one may make the other more powerful. Play it safe my friend.

That would only be a concern with high doses, or mixing of Ativan and either alcohol or other sedating medications (usually also in high doses). It may help you to try taking it when someone else is around for the first time, so you can feel reassured. It also may help if the first time you take it, you take it when you're feeling only mildly to moderately anxious, versus waiting until your anxiety is very severe.

Does the pyshcologist know about the methadone? I don't know much about what he's taking, other than I've taken Prozac and Ativan at the same time. I do know that it can be dangerous combining drugs and I'm really paranoid about that since the Heath Ledger tragedy. I personally think the doctor needs to be talked to about it...

ativan is way weaker than xanax, im prescribed .5 mg. myself of ativan,and they will work,at least they do for me, as everyone is different.you can take up to 2mg a day so as long as you dont go over that youll be alright.but take it before you go somewhere or whatever triggers your attacks and during,obviously.but dont expect it to be like xanax.

I am in therapy and trying to process all of the reasons why i used/abused, etc,,,,, Well he started me on .5 Ativan twice a day, i called up and told him its not working, he told me to go up to 1. twice a day. DOes this drug need to get in your system for it to start working? I have been on xanax in the past and i felt that worked immediately, and i liked that i was able to take as needed, but with the Ativan i have to take it twice a day, I'm confused??

m thankful that you got replies from all these wonderful people on here. And please PLEASE no more mixing benzos and alcohol! Its just too much of a risk and your NOT just another statistic! You've got your whole life ahead of you and trust me, its definatley worth getting to the good parts! I'm only 25, but I'm happier and happier everyday, so I can just imagine what 40 will be like!

I am the process of withdrawing from dilaudid and codeine and am feeling really sick. Is it better to just ride it out or would Gravol help. Any input would be appreciated.

I got desperate on night, just lost my mind from 2 days straight with horrible pain and no sleep. On a 1-10 scale? 12! So, I took 60 mg of oxycodone and 40 mg of methadone, plus 1 mg of Ativan - all at once, instead of breaking doses up over the day. I slept great for the first time since the wreck - March 25, 2015! I even felt better today, and took nothing but my methadone and Ativan, until late in the afternoon. But, some people say I might not have woken up.

Absolutely talk to a doc. So often we just take pills to treat symptoms and it is SO important to discover what is actually causing these symptoms. I promise you will not go through withdrawal from Gravol. Who told you this? I have taken regular dosage of it (2 every 4 hours) for periods of time and then stopped when I no longer needed it and felt nothing. I've also been on IV Gravol in the hospital for up to 3 weeks, and stopped once the problem was fixed and again- no withdrawal.

Do they exacerbate nausea? Also, I'm wondering about Gravol Ginger. Any downside to using ginger root? I can't handle regular gravol. Too dopey.

You do need the Ativan and Zoloft, and know each day on the Zoloft you are closer to feeling better and it will help control your racing mind. I agree that therapy would be very beneficial for you. Getting to the root of your problem is always the best way to go. It is a vicious cycle created by worry which feeds our anxiety. Hopefully, your doctor can help you with this and ask to be referred to a therapist. Take care.

Ive taken gravol for almost a year on and off , the last 3 months i have been taking a large amount. I have taken 70 pills in the last 12 days. I realized i had an issue , and just didnt know how bad the withdrawls etc would be. i havent taken any gravol for 2 days now and plan to quit. I feel like absolute garbage right now. I cant eat , i can sleep , but all i want to do is sleep. which is very hard considering i have 2 children and work full time.
