Common Questions and Answers about Miscarriage zealand

miscarriage

Avatar f tn Oh.
Avatar f tn I have recently had a miscarriage at 11 weeks and have not got a private medical aid, so went to a local state hospital. I under went a painful manual pelvic examination to be told that I had lost the baby, and then had a d and c with only a pain killer. (pethadine) Is this normal procedure, if you are unfortunate enough to not be able to afford a medical aid scheme in south africa? Is this what all women with no medical aid have to suffer because of they cannot afford a medical aid?
Avatar f tn Is there anyone in new zealand on this site. If so I have started a page on facebook for you to come and join if you would like. I am looking for people in new zealand as I am the only one that I know of. There are also other sites for other places like america and australia. All you need to do is join facebook and then search for New Zealand Chiari or if you are from else where just put where you are from then chiari. These are support groups as well and you can share your story.
Avatar f tn s syndrome, ds is chromosomal, in other words it happens during conception/division of the cells. However, amniocentises can cause miscarriage or put your pregnancy at risk. You have to discuss the risks with your OB to determine what your risk of miscarriage may be, and what your benefits of testing are.

Avatar n tn I sadly lost my baby boy, Leo at 35+5 weeks in December 2015. I was in hospital, just about to be induced when his heart rate went down and stopped. I had been in hospital for 2 days (baby was perfectly healthy when I went in) before we lost him. I was kept in due to having pre eclampsia, diabetes and an underactive thyroid. I found out on Friday that were expecting our second baby (roughly about 5/6 weeks). Although I'm exited, I'm also extremely nervous.
Avatar n tn ) thank you x

Avatar n tn Hi! I just moved to new Zealand, and dont know what to do about my contraception, I usually took pills but I'm running out of them and don't really know what to do or take here. Going to a doctor is going to be really expensive now, so I was thinking to start using the BASAL Thermomether system? Does anybody know something about it??

1219499 tn?1410749730 I fully agree I recently had a miscarriage, when I got pregnant my progesterone was really low, now I am using puregesterone cream from the herbal store so when I get pregnant again my body will be ready.
Avatar f tn Hi was wondering if anyone has advise, I have been diagnosed with a 5cm complex cyst. The report from u/s says that the solid part could be focal fatty or focal heamatoma . And to go back in 12 weeks to see if it is still constant and if it is it will most likely be a dermoid cyst rather then a focal haemorrhage. Now I'm going to new Zealand in 1 day for a week. I couldn't get into my regular doctor so went to see a random doctor that said I should postpone my trip.
Avatar f tn So where is everyone from? I think I'm the only one here that lives in New Zealand!

Avatar m tn I've had two beautiful children using donor sperm - and have just had an IUI using the same donor to try for our third child. I went to the clinic, went on a waiting list, then, when my time came, was given the folders of all the donors, their ethnicity, personality, medical history, traits, education and employment history, colour of eyes, complexion, hair, weight, height - everything! No photo supplied though.
