I've been taking antibiotics from a uti. Now the uti pain has disappeared but I've been really itchy in my downstairs area. I've almost rubbed myself raw down there. I've never had a yeast infection before, but I've been told its possible to contract one while taking antibiotics, and it's even more common when your pregnant...

A couple weeks prior to this, I noticed the begining symptoms of a yeast infection that I thought was just vaginal dryness. I treated it with Vagisil and the symptoms went away. Did I possibly miss the symptoms of a yeast infection that could have caused my misscarriage? After the miscarriage happened, my husband and I did not wait for my first cycle and had intercourse. I went to the Dr. this past Friday and I had another yeast infection. I am treating it now with Monistat 7.

I've had bacteria vaginosis on and off for a couple years now. My doctor said it most likely will keep coming back. But I am 29 weeks pregnant and I went into the doctors cause I couldn't tell if it was a yeast infection or BV. My doctor still hasn't called me back to tell me what it is. Could BV harm my baby this far along?

Boric acid doesn't even sound safe to take internally or externally. Boric Acid is a toxin used to kill rodents. I have heard of one home remedy for boric acid, and that is for ear aches...and that doesn't even sound safe to me. Only your OB can tell you what is safe to treat your yeast infection. I know Monistat is safe to use. Please don't ever try to self diagnose or treat yourself during pregnancy, it's not worth the consequences to your baby.

Argh, you've been through the ringer. So, antibiotics are often responsible for yeast infections. You had to take the antibiotic for your BV so a yeast infection is no surprise. Doctors should tell women this! Same with cipro. I don't think I've ever taken that without getting a yeast infection. The urinary tract infection is likely unrelated to the BV. So, most women get UTI's from . . . don't get grossed out . . . but small bits of fecal matter entering the urethra.

I have a yeast infection and then started having diarrhea with cramping that feels like im gonna start my period. No blood yet but it feels like its trying to start. Im 8 weeks tomo so it would be about time for my period. Is my body confused or a miscarriage? My mom bled a bit each month for 4 months while preggo wigh me so idk? Agree with everything in the above post!!! It is a good idea to eat yogurt because the probiotics in it neutralize your ph in your "area" so that the yeast can't grow. I always eat yogurt when I am on antibiotics and if I don't I always get a yeast infection. Also wearing cotton underwear is the best thing because it is breathable. Not yeast infection like at all it hit like a ton of bricks about half an hour after I took the medication.

Could it be a false positive or could I still be pregnant? Did any of you had vaginal yeast infection during first trimester? My doctor perscribed me terconazole. When I got the medication inside of the package it said do not use during first trimester. I researched online and it says that some birth defects can occur.. I spoke with the nurse who said that there is not really anything safer than this medicine and leaving issue untreated can cause miscarriage (if infection gets to the uterus). I really don't know what is best deciduous here.

Yeah the cramps are normal and your body changed during pregnancy sometimes women just end up smelling funky down there. If you're worried id go to quick care or your primary dr and test for yeast infection. I've never heard of Bv causing a miscarriage though. best advice anyone gave me as a ftm is to stay off google. Does more harm than good.

Everything was fine, heard the heartbeat (159). I asked the doctor to check for Vaginal Bacteria or Yeast Infection, (I noticed different discharge few days before the doc. appointment), and she took a pap and looked under the microscope and told me that I do have yeast infection. She gave prescription, and told me not to worry. I am sitting at work now, and cant stop worried what if something can happen?????

Miley hun you are freaking yourself out. Just take a breather. If your Dr wasnt too concered then theres nothing to worry about. Get the cream and you should be good. Never look up stuff on the internet because it will scare you.

its common got the cream and it went away but if you dont get it treated it can cause premature labour or a miscarriage in 2nsd trimester!! and then after that got a yeast infection from the antibiotics lol lol fmlt got to docs!!
