Avatar n tn Haha, creeepyy lol jk jk!! Oh, it was a pretty big difference. I'm used to the "normal"pains. So when it felt like different pains I just knew. It made labor pains seem like nothing though, so that's a plus.
Avatar f tn You can't have a miscarriage at 23 weeks. Its called pre term labor then. Call your doctor if your having pains or bleeding. She'll tell you if you need to go to er. I went into preterm labor and they kept me in the hospital for athe last month and a half if my first pregnancy. They will give you shots to stop the labor and some other medicine in an iv. You'll be on bed rest till the baby comes.

Avatar f tn I've had scoliosis since I was 12 and I am also 32 weeks pregnant. So close OMG!!! Ha. But my question is for those who have non-pregnancy related back pains before. How do you know the difference between your "normal" back pains vs back labor pains? Worried I'll miss the signs. FTM.
7822537 tn?1398276712 How soon can you get it? I have been have sharp pains in my lower back and someone told me it could be back labor but I'm only 11 weeks.
Avatar f tn I miscarried and a symptom the doctor told me to look for was back pains (bad pains) or shoulder pains. And two days before my miscarriage I had a fever and shoulder and back pains. I was only 8 weeks though. If it continues or gets worse you might want to call your doctor.
Avatar f tn I'm 29 weeks pregnant with a baby girl and I'm super excited. I had a son 10 1/2 years ago. I was induced and had an epidural but recall it being extremely painful. In January of this year I also had a miscarriage at about 11 weeks pregnant. I had mild to moderate cramping for a few days then severe cramping for under an hour before I passed the miscarriage. It was very pain but extremely emotional.
Avatar f tn IM 19 wks going on 20 and having lower back pains and uncomfortable pains in the lower abdomen just scared does anyone know what this could be? Or why these pains are happening?
Avatar f tn I asked my doctor about how a short cervix would affect pregnancy and labor vs a normal or long one and was told there really wasn't any issues either way. A cervix is a cervix. Is there a more defining term for this out of curiosity?
Avatar f tn More pain in your back is considered back labor but there are many other signs to confirm real labor too such as losing your mucous plug, bloody show, timing of contractions, etc.
Avatar f tn ( ive never had labor pains before because my first was by csection any body know whats going on or are these just braxton hicks?

Avatar f tn Oh wow. I'm so sorry. I didn't experience labor with my first, the second was a miscarriage. I didn't go through any pain whatsoever it was quick and easy.
Avatar n tn When I miscarried I bleed for a whole week straight and day I passed baby I had labor pains but I was no more than 6 weeks pregnant. Hope everything is okay with you and your baby.
Avatar f tn Due to a pretty term labor and miscarriage I had to have one I'm now 28 weeks thanks to having the cerclage. Usually If you have a short or incompetent cervix doctor will recommend. With my last two pregnancies my membrane's ruptured causing me to go into labor.
Avatar f tn Got out and the labor pains started coming every three minutes. I got to the hospital just in time. THAT labor was four hours from start to finish. Say what you will, but I believe warm water help with labor.
7913021 tn?1418048620 When you take castor oil, I know you can start getting contractions if your baby is ready & everyone swears that It will put you into labor! My Question is, can you tell a difference between contractions vs. Stomach/bowel cramps? Because it obviously might make you have diarrhea but can you tell the difference between the two kinds of pain???
Avatar f tn What advice do yall have about natural births? What do yu think about natural birth vs having an epidural ?
7758733 tn?1402589420 What were some differences in your pregnancy, those who have had a boy and a girl. Any nnoticeable differences, aches/pains, your hunger, cravings, labor?? Just curious (: I'm so ready to find out the gender, hopefully Tuesday!
Avatar f tn So I can only tell you what I've experienced. Braxton Hicks are contractions, but they are typically painless. This is not always the case though! Mine, at times, were painful. However they are random, you can't time them, and they stay basically the same pain level. Then there are just contractions, which I feel are more painful. Like they grab you and stop you from what you're doing. They last about 45 seconds and will slowly get worse. Then they randomly stop.
505857 tn?1329681517 My first pregnancy ended in miscarriage (at six weeks) and I had sharp pains and cramps along with spotting. We went to the ER where I miscarried. It's definitely not something to take lightly!! I have another friend who was able to prevent a miscarriage when she was having cramps and spotting by going to the ER. They gave her some progesterone and treated her and the miscarriage didn't happen. So again - don't take it lightly!!
