I normally do not have heavy bleeding the first day at all. This morning there was a LOT of bright red blood. I don't know the signs of a miscarriage vs pregnancy. I might be worried for no reason, but am really looking for answers. Anyone?? please.

I had a threatened miscarriage at 12 weeks but with extremely heavy bleeding that would soak a pad in half an hour. My bleeding I found out was from a hematoma. I was put on pelvic rest and not allowed to pick up more than ten pounds. I'm now 23 weeks with my baby girl.

I had bleeding a few weeks ago and it was dark brown and then red and heavy with a clot. as long as you are not cramping you are not miscarrying. If you are 8 weeks you will feel pain when having a miscarriage. the bleeding I had was due to a hemorrhage. Get it checked out and make them give you an internal ultrasound as well as an external ultrasound just so they can check and make sure baby is ok and the placenta is healthy and everything else is ok internally ...

Hello, this is my 2nd pregnancy. My first ended with a miscarriage. I'm currently 6wks but I'm experiencing some mild period like cramping on and off since my 1st missed period but I have no bleeding or spotting. I'm so nervous but trying to stay positive. Has anyone experienced this? What could it be? I have my 1st appt 9/16.

I just experienced my first miscarriage and for me the bleeding was light for 4-5 days and on the sixth day I started heavy bleeding cramping and clots for two days then it got lighter much like a period for 4 more days. My doctor said every woman is different and it can take 1-2 weeks to fully go through the miscarriage process and if it doesn't happen naturally they may recommend a D & C. So I would give it some time and see what happens. If you have any concerns call your doctor.

Hormone levels can be a nightmare but they have to constantly be tracked to figure out the next step. Bleeding doesn’t necessarily mean you are having a miscarriage so they are checking the hcg levels to confirm.

Clots are usually never a good thing and bleeding vs spotting is also not good. So you do whatever you think is right but I personally would've at least called the on call doc before posting to a bunch of women who aren't docs.

What causes this bleeding? Does dogs have anything that may cause me to be bleeding for this long? Because I work in a home where the dogs smells irritates me alot. When I'm not working the bleeding comes out really light or even pink,or brown.

I am worried about ectopic preg vs miscarriage and have had severe abdominal pain, with dizziness on a couple occasions during most severe cramps. My abdominal area was very distended and tight and I have been bleeding moderate with obvious tissue masses passing largest being golf ball size and fluid filled seemingly. That was 1.5-2days ago. I am exactly 6 weeks pregnant. I had a tiny bit of bleeding this morning and got an ultrasound. The doctor said that the heart beat was a slow 65bpm. Bleeding during pregnancy is always so scary. If you have experienced a miscarriage in the past, it becomes terrifying. Here is what I can tell you....30% of women will experience bleeding of some sort during first trimester. 50% of those will have healthy normal pregnancies. You will hear about brown vs. red, but in all honesty, I have heard many women here experience both, and continue on with healthy pregnancies. Your HCG levels will tell a lot and so will a scan.

This is myfirstperiod after a miscarriage. I started on the 4th, it started out like a brown watery color, then it got heavier and I start passing some clots and it turned bright red and stayed that way until yesterday. Then it slowed way down and it's brown again. But when I wipe it just looks like it may have some red in it but looks mostly very dark/Brown color.

If you are bleeding you should go to the er or doc asap to be checked.

umm only last week I was told I was 3 months and a week pregnant by my doctor from blood test results and today I started bleeding really heavily and had the most horrible pains I couldn't move it hurt so much, could this be a miscarriage!? please help!!!!

I currently have a 2.5 year old daughter, I was very ill with the pregancy but carried her full term. During delivery I bled out severly but no cause was found. Since than I have had 3 miscarriages; one at 11 weeks (no heart beat, followed by D&C), one at 8 1/2 weeks (severe bleeding partial miscarriage followed by D&C), and the latest one in December of 2007 was at 5 weeks (no D&C no explanation). I have had a work up plan and the results were way over my head.

I did! I bled at 10 weeks, almost 11 weeks. I went to the bathroom and found bright red blood in my underwear. I panicked and went to the ER and they did blood work and an emergency ultrasound. I was sure I was having a miscarriage. Turns out they couldn't find a reason for the bleeding (and there are some that don't mean miscarriage!) and my cervix was still closed. My diagnosis was a "threatened miscarriage" but "it didn't look like that was going to happen to me.

Was it heavy bleeding or spotting? You really can't tell unless you go get a quantitative HCG test ran and you really need more than one in order to tell what is going on.

So i just found out recently that i am pregnant but now this more i am having alot of bleeding and i am really scared cause idk if i could be having a miscarriage or what it could be.
