Avatar f tn m 9 weeks pregnant and my doctor says that my hcg levels decreased and I will have a miscarriage. My last ultra sound was when I was 7 weeks although my uterus measured 6 weeks there was no baby to be seen. Does a decrease in my hcg levels mean that this pregnancy is going to end for sure? Should I get another ultra sound to confirm there is no baby and/ or heartbeat? She wanted to schedule a d&c right away but my heart won't let me.
Avatar f tn These are the criteria radiologists use to determine if findings on obstetrical ultrasound are diagnostic of miscarriage vs. suspicious for but not diagnostic of miscarriage: https://www.acog.org/-/media/Practice-Bulletins/Images/pb200a.ashx. Your scenario of gestational sac diameter of 16-24 mm and no embryo is in the column on the right, which is suspicious for but not diagnostic of miscarriage. This is why your doctor requested a repeat ultrasound in a few days.
529102 tn?1214513289 I was given progesterone support during the my last pregnancy which resulted in the miscarriage at 11 weeks. The ultrasound that was completed at 8 weeks indicated a heart beat of 41-50 bpm and 2 small fibroids in the anterior body of the uterus. Could the fibroids be the cause of recurrent miscarriages and do you recommend further evaluation? Was the low heart rate a prime indicator of an impending miscarriage and would it be considered a genetic defect? What testing do you recommend?
Avatar f tn About a week after my miscarriage my OB/GYN sent me for a transvaginal ultrasound. I was given the report from the ultrasound tech but am having difficulty understanding it...

Avatar n tn I also had a miscarriage last July 2016 and just found out I'm pregnant. I'm also very nervous. Having seen dr yet but getting blood drawn as we speak.
Avatar n tn Urinalysis result will be sent the following day, pelvic ultrasound findings said there is a visible sac but not really clear due to small visibility. The doctor endorse us for appointment in a transvaginal ultrasound for a better output quality on the following day. i.e. examination confirmed that the cervix is closed but still there is a danger of miscarriage. The doctor prescribed her augmentin 250 mg as she said there is an infection following her bleeding.
Avatar n tn I had an ultrasound at 6w2d that showed a baby and a heartbeat at 9 weeks I got another ultrasound which showed a 6w4d old baby with no heart rate. I had a missed miscarriage and for whatever reason my body was not able to get rid of it on its own. I had another ultrasound a couple days later and the findings were the same. After I had a D&C it took 4 weeks for my levels to return to 0 and then before another cycle could start I was pregnant again with my now 2 1/2 year old daughter.
Avatar f tn Ok I'm driving myself crazy with research on my thyroid nodule. I have had a FNA & ultrasound. I am waiting for the FNA results (its making me crazy waiting) but here is what my ultrasound report said - any input? Enlarged thyroid gland. 2.9 x 1.3 x 1.9cm complex cystic mass of the mid to lower pole ofthe right lobe. It contains thick internal septations which are vascular, multiple punctate microcalcifications are present. Does any of that mean anything bad?
Avatar n tn I just had two mammograms and an ultrasound and received a report that said the following: MLO projection shows a persistent, well circumscribed nodular density in the inner lower quadrant of the right breast. On the 90 lateral projection, the density is seen in the lower breast. Ultrasound of the density was performed. At 5:00, 5 cm from the nipple there is a 7x5x3 mm solid, well-defined hypoechoic mass. The borders are smooth and well-defined.
Avatar n tn It sounds to me like you ovulated very late, maybe even cycle day 20-39, which could easily throw your dates off by a week and account for the discrepancy in the ultrasound findings. I feel optimistic. I hope they are going to repeat the ultrasound next week, and I hope on that scan the heart rate is nice and speedy. If so, you have about a 95+% chance that the pregnancy will continue. Good luck!
1987779 tn?1327379560 t see anything in my uterus, they did a blood pregnacy test and it was less than 5. Idk if i should go their findings or what my dr. Ordered an hcg beta count, im wondering if the pregnacy test came back with less than 5 would there even be an hcg beta to count?

Avatar f tn i want kno what is the explanation of this findings or do i need to remove this mass..BREAST ULTRASOUND REPORT BOTH BREAST ARE SYMMETRIC IN SIZE AND SHAPE WITH HETEROGEOUS PREDOMINANTLY FIBROGLANDULAR PARENCHYMAL ECHOPATTERN SHOWING THE FOLLOWING FINDINGS: FEW WELL-DEFINED FOCI ARE NOTED IN BOTH BREASTS WITH THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS, CHARACTERS, AND SIZES: RIGHT: 3 O'CLOCK POSITION, ZONE A: (HYPOECHOIC) 1.41 X 1.63 X 1.02 CM. 11 O'CLOCK POSITION, ZONE B: (CYSTIC) 0.46 X 0.03 CM.
Avatar f tn They said that they could be possilbe cysts or intramammory nodes. What does that mean? I am having an ultrasound on June 12th. Is this something I should be worried about.
Avatar f tn But I had one today n there was a visible heartbeat n she said it was beating fine...

Avatar n tn On October 30, 2007, I had a Mirena IUD placed in as a way of delaying a hysterectomy. At the time of the placement, an ultrasound was performed with the following findings: "Multiple calcifications in endometrial lining right ovary additional findings include wnl left ovary additional findings wnl no cysts seen" I understand the no cycts seen but what does everything else mean?
Avatar f tn t know the answer, you should call your dr now and ask. They would just need to look up the ultrasound report and explain the findings.

Avatar f tn It was described as honeycomb in appearance and was Birads 4 on review of Ultrasound. I was initially stunned and scared but it turned out benign. Thankful and blessed, now a year later, had my screening mammo and here we go again. Same breast. An ill-defined 1cm+ focal (lesion?), many scattered fibroglandular densities within breast, lymphnode seen as well within the upper outer quadrant.
1171952 tn?1272385228 I went to the Ob the other day and they said everything was fine with the pregnancy but I started having some pain on my left side the next day and my doctor sent me to the ER to make sure it was not an eptopic pregnancy. They did an ultrasound and they wouldnt let me see anything so my friend was there with me holding my daughter and saw the baby and the heartbeat.
Avatar n tn I had a mammogram six months ago and it showed no difference in the previous mamogram but was told to repeat it since there was some asymetric density in the left breast. I repeated the mammo this week and was told by the radiologist that there was no change in the previous mammogram and to just repeat in 6 months. One of the doctors at my clinic said if it were her mammogram she would consult a surgeon.
Avatar f tn The month after the cyst ruptured I did end up pregnant but miscarried at about 4 weeks, that was in May this year and I had been ttc for 11 months before that and now again since the miscarriage. the only time i get the cysts or cyst is at ovulation. So I am soldering if the cysts can cause fertility issues or are prevent my eggs from releasing? Any info or advice will be appreciated.
Avatar f tn Based on the fact that your HCG has risen that sounds promising. It IS possible that you ovulated way late making you not as far along as you would think based on your last period. Give it a little time, it sounds like you caught this pregnancy really early! Good luck! Oh and even if you do miscarry this time, it doesn't mean there is something wrong with you or your partner. The average healthy couple can experience 2-3 miscarriages in their reproductive lifetime.
