In October of last year I had a case of Bell's palsy and the nueroligist found that I had syphilis. I had an original titer of 1:32 when the nueroligist screened me, I went to the clinic (with no prior treatment) and my titer was 1:16 I took the 3 rounds of penicillin.

1414894 tn?1288769040 In women, progesterone is responsible for the development of a healthy womb lining (endometrium) that is necessary for pregnancy. The body produces progesterone at certain times of the menstrual cycle, causing the womb lining to flourish. If a fertilized egg does not attach to the womb lining by the end of the monthly menstrual cycle, the levels of progesterone in the body decrease. This causes the body to shed the womb lining (a menstrual ‘period’).
Avatar f tn do the laser treatment, bedrest, careful monitoring with a higher risk for miscarriage. option 2. do nothing and let the pregnancy run full course and then treat it afterwards with the risk of spreading. and option 3. possible termination depending on how many weeks you are and go ahead and do laser treatment and whatever else. Im just saying be prepared...
Avatar f tn Now that being said hypothyroid amd pregnancy can be very dangerous and lead to serious complications and even miscarriage. Make sure you are very diligent about taking your meds an hr before you eat and as close to the same time each day as possible and have your levels checked as often as your dr recommended.
Avatar n tn I am a type 1 diabetic as well and had a miscarriage with my first pregnancy at fifteen weeks. They actually gave me medication to open my cervix in the hospital. I went through the labor pains and I sneezed it out. I didnt have to dilate all the way though. I still endef up going for a d&c because the placenta kept breaking into pieces...sorry for your loss. There is no loss like the loss of a child.

Avatar f tn I miscarried at 4 weeks with the "normal" miscarriage symptoms. My levels dropped from 3200 to 2800 to finally 1800...and then stayed at 1800. Two weeks later my miscarriage symptoms repeated themselves almost identical to the first time. I do not return to the doctor for add'l bloodwork until Tues. Any ideas? Anyone out there had any similar happen?
Avatar n tn Bleeding and cramping in pregnancy doesnt always indicate a Miscarriage, But DOES ALWAYS need to be assessed by a medical professional. I had bleeding at 8 weeks with this pregnancy that I concieved the SAME WEEK as I had my miscarriage and they were both the same amount of pain.

Avatar f tn Hi, you said you are pregnant. There is no natural treatment for hypo. Hypo in pregnancy must be treated aggressively with medication to prevent complications for you and the baby. Lack of thyroid hormone affects the baby's cognitive development. It can also lead to miscarriage, premature birth, among others. Your doctor must monitor FT3 and FT4 as well as TSH. FT3 and FT4 should be in the upper half of the reference range.
1654177 tn?1319838494 I keep reading things online, and one thing I am concerned about it having a baby after TX. Lets say a year or 2 has passed after completion of treatment, can the baby be affected or risk developmental defects because of TX being in the blood stream, even if a baby is conceived years after TX?
1390556 tn?1279955120 hi, how much i know it is a miscarriage sign, but it cant be also try taking one more home pregnancy test to confirm it. Hope it shud not be a miscarriage.
Avatar n tn The miscarriage itself doesn't have a bearing on future pregnancies, nor means others would be at risk. The real concern would be your age. Women from age 35-45 have a 20-35% chance of miscarriage and fertility issue. After you turn 30 your odds of conception decrease each year. That's not to say it won't happen at all. Many hundreds of thousands of women get pregnant every year. If you can't get pregnant within 6 months, see a doctor for an evaluation. Good luck.
Avatar n tn Unfortunately, miscarriages do happen to approx one out of five pregnancies, whether or not they occur naturally or as a result of IVF or other fertility treatment. Thus, chances of a second miscarriage are in the 20% range. If you have good quality frozen embryos, you might want to consider that route, or another fresh cycle. I am very optimistic that your chances for a healthy pregnancy are good, based on your age and your response during your IVF cycle in the past. Good luck!
Avatar f tn They call it a threatened miscarriage anytime you're bleeding before 20 weeks. I went to doctor with bleeding at 18 weeks and they called it threatened miscarriage.
