Avatar m tn You need to be examined internally to look for the cause of bleeding. A dilatation and curettage might be required to help in diagnosis or treatment. Hemoglobin should be tested and corrected as per the result. Next conception you must take full panel of tests linked with first and second trimester abortions like TORCH, VDRL, HIV, chromosomal anomalies..
Avatar f tn Hi, I have been trying to fall pregnant for over 2 years now with 1 miscarriage 12 months ago. I have started IVF treatment and am taking Lucrin injections, I am about to go back to my clinic on Monday (31/10/11) to get my next lot of injections to start stimulating my ovaries. I had a pap smear on Friday (21/10/11) and got an abnormal result and I am booked in for a Colposcopy on Thursday (3/11/11). Could this stop my IVF treatment?
Avatar f tn I am 25 years old and have been on Metformin since I was 17 for treatment of PCOS. The side effects when you first take the medication isn't to pleasant. At least wasn't for me. I was sick a lot with diarrhea and nausea. But this will go away after about two weeks on the medication. I too got told to loose a few pounds and I would probably get pregnant rather easily. I weighed almost 400 pounds at the start of seeing this doctor. I now weight 328.8 with her encouragement and dieting.
Avatar f tn I had gonnarhea but went to the doctor for thee treatment but im soo scared imaa miscarry :( has this happened to anyonee?
Avatar m tn Patients often worry that stress and anxiety of infertility treatment will reduce their chances of becoming pregnant, but a new study from Sweden shows this fear to be unfounded. Researchers assessed stress levels among women undergoing their first in vitro fertilization treatment and found similar pregnancy rates in women reporting high levels of anxiety and depression and women who did not.
Avatar f tn It can increase your odds of miscarriage/pre-term labor.
Avatar f tn Is there any natural treatment for hypo? I will talk to my endo next week. However, I am pregnant so any info on natural treatment would be great. THANKS!
Avatar n tn Unfortunately, miscarriages do happen to approx one out of five pregnancies, whether or not they occur naturally or as a result of IVF or other fertility treatment. Thus, chances of a second miscarriage are in the 20% range. If you have good quality frozen embryos, you might want to consider that route, or another fresh cycle. I am very optimistic that your chances for a healthy pregnancy are good, based on your age and your response during your IVF cycle in the past. Good luck!
Avatar f tn I miscarried at 4 weeks with the "normal" miscarriage symptoms. My levels dropped from 3200 to 2800 to finally 1800...and then stayed at 1800. Two weeks later my miscarriage symptoms repeated themselves almost identical to the first time. I do not return to the doctor for add'l bloodwork until Tues. Any ideas? Anyone out there had any similar happen?
Avatar f tn 5 months back i was pregnant in the normal way. That time i was 7 weeks pregnant. One night i had vaginal fluttering. After 48 hrs of fluttering i had a miscarriage. That was the first time it happenend. During day time i can control it. But night time i can't. Fluttering is for 6 seconds only. I have no pain. That time my heart beat was up to the maximum level. Later 20 minutes it came to the normal.Nowadays monthly 4 to 6 times i had that kind of feeling. What's happening to me.
Avatar f tn My RE told me that i have a follicle cyst. I got it after being on clomid (my first dose of 100mg) so i went off clomid for 1 month and its still here so i can not be put back on clomid. What is the best treatment just to wait or to take Birth Control pills or is there anything else?
Avatar f tn possible termination depending on how many weeks you are and go ahead and do laser treatment and whatever else. Im just saying be prepared...not saying that any of these options are going to happen but its always good to think of different scenerios on how its going to go and what you want to do in case one pops up. It might be the easiest thing in the world with no risks to get laser treatments and be pregnant. I dont really know...ive never been in your shoes.
1414894 tn?1288769040 As dydrogesterone helps regulate the healthy growth and normal shedding of the womb lining, it may be used in the treatment of menstrual disorders such as absent, irregular or painful menstrual periods, infertility, premenstrual syndrome and endometriosis. It may also be used to minimise the overgrowth of the womb lining due to oestrogen (the main female sex hormone) in hormone replacement therapy (HRT) following menopause.

2121388 tn?1334927579 Correction of the hormonal balance with the help of your Doctor will help in achieving weight loss. Weight loss can be achieved by a combination of diet control or dietary modification and exercise. You should consult a dietician to prepare a diet chart according to your food habits, in such a way that nutrition is not compromised. Exercise should be such that is as per your liking so that the chances of sticking to the exercise regime are greater.
Avatar f tn A d&c is something not effective at getting everything out. After any type of miscarriage it can take weeks for the hCG levels to drop back down to 0. If there was still tissue in there, then that could still be producing hCG and cause you to test positive. When I was getting my d&C, I was told that in about 1in 5 d&c do not get everything out and it needs to be repeated. Not everyone responds the same to medication, and so you could just be having mild side effects of it.
Avatar f tn And usually the bleeding will worsen again. Miscarriage is not always overly painful, it can depend on how far along you were and a host of other factors. It's good your seeing your Dr. tomorrow. There isn't much more you can do except for a follow up. Make sure you talk to him/her about your concerns with the continued clotting. Just remember, if the bleeding/clotting gets really heavy in the meantime, seek emergency treatment.
1854861 tn?1333474904 I'm six and a half wks pregnant with my first child. My biggest fear so far is miscarriage. I hate to worry so much because I know stress can cause miscarriage itself. Is there any way I can ease this fear? I'm almost 23, active, stable long term relationship, no history of miscarriage in family, quit smoking day before pregnancy confirmation, non drinker, no drugs. But this is my first child out of MY uterus.
Avatar m tn Just try to keep in mind that whether or not it was a miscarriage, or sequelae of injury you sustained during the physical trauma, that this is something you could not have prevented. Are you getting any help in dealing with your PTSD? I hope so. There are some free peer groups available in some areas where you can get help dealing with the trauma and connect with others going through the same pain. You are in my prayers!

1577163 tn?1300853962 I had a miscarriage in November. I was asked to wait 2 full cycle before we try another cycle of fertility treatment. Well, got my period in December. No January period. Tested about 2 weeks ago, and what do you know, I'm pregnant again! At 21, you have plenty of time though. Just relax and take it as it comes. You will have your baby soon enough.
1827365 tn?1410506306 a lot depends on the type and reason for the miscarriage. if it was because there were the wrong number of chromosomes (most common after failure to implant) then it is pretty random. It is slightly higher with older mom's. chance of miscarriage after successful implantation is pretty low.
